David Earl here, and I am the Product Manager for Logic Pro X for Apple.
We are releasing version 10.5 of the software today, and it is the biggest change in a very long time.
We are doing our best to be sure that we are addressing accessibility in Logic, and with all of the new features I just wanted to let you know that we have addressed these issues:
⢠VoiceOver now properly announces the first column in the Loop Browser.
⢠VoiceOver now announces the state of the Direct Monitoring button in the Mixer.
Hi all, i'm thinking of buying logic pro x, for some projects, particularly some that envolve connecting my keyboard to the computer, via the midi cable. However, is logic pro fully accessible, and will it help me with this, or are there other apps? thanks for any help.
Hello my friends, there is a problem that suddenly occurred knowing that I use LogicKeyboardNinja shortcuts
It was now normal, but today something important happened. Every time I moved to bar 3, the pointer does not move, but starts from bar 1 and does not move to bar 3. What is the solution?

We recently got a new iMac where I work, and I've found on a few occasions that when I try to activate Voiceover from the login screen, it doesn't turn on - instead I just get the "bomb" sound (I think it's "boundary reached", according to the sounds help, but I need to confirm that). I've successfully used VO from this computer, and have even successfully used it on the login screen. Any idea what could be causing this behavior?
Hello all :
am using my logitech k-380 as my primary keyboard on mac.
actually, i love it so muc, but the most important thing, is that it uses the f1,2,3 etc as cycling between Devices,
even if i choose not to use function keys , sma eresult,
so, to press on any f button, i have to press Fn key followed by the F key,
so, is there away to press only on the F key? or i should do this when using the Logitech k-380?
i downloaded the Karabiner-Elements to fix the right option key, which is not present here, and i succeeded,
so, what about F keys?
Anybody using Logitech keyboard software? I got an MX Keys Mini for Mac. I'm trying to disable the do not disturb key, because it keeps getting hit accidentally. I installed Logioptions Plus or whatever it was, the one without plus didn't work, and disabled it. The problem is that it seems to need to run on login in order for that to work, but every time I'd hit caps lock as VO modifier, it would say "caps lock image" and potentially put up a menu.
Hi folks, I use Preview as my default PDF reader for books and documents.
Like other native Mac apps Preview seems to be accessible, but I'm always experiencing problems with reading PDFs with it. In OS 10.7 I suffered from blank pages issue, losing a tangible part of information, and now in Mountain Lion VO often reads the word "text" instead of reading content of a document.
Could somebody tell me what to do? Is it possible to get round this issue with Preview, or maybe I should change my PDF reader? I
Recently performed a clean install of El Capitan and thought I'd take the opportunity to find a decent alternative to Adobe Fireworks.
I prefer something minimalist, native, free and accessible. While I prefer native apps, I have been using Adobe CS 5 for years now relying on redundant versions of Java 6, so I'm open to the idea I guess.
The goal is basic vector graphic design like logos, page headers etc. - no photography. So something lightweight will be ideal.
hi, i have tried many apps for extracting files but i wasn't satisfied with any of those, can someone suggest me a free app to extract files? thanks in advance.
Hi. I am looking for a free or cheap basic audio editor for the Mac. It does not need filters and effects and stuff. I just want to be able to split and merge files and edit out parts. Any ideas? Thank you.
I'm currently searching for an SFTP client that is fully compatible with VoiceOver on macOS. Accessibility is my top priority, and I would deeply appreciate any recommendations from those with hands-on experience using such apps.
If the app is paid, that is absolutely fine ā Iām primarily focused on finding a solution that offers a smooth, accessible experience with proper labeling and navigation support for screen reader users.
Hi,
I have several really long text files that I'd like to turn into audio read by a TTS voice. Is there an accessible app that can generate an audio file, whether it be aiff, mp3, m4a, or another format? I can always convert to my preferred format. I'm using mac OS 10.15 Catalina.
The longest file is probably going to be maybe 48 hours long. I'd prefer it in audio format as opposed to text, because I really like my audiobook player app on my tablet, so when it all comes down to it, I want to be able to listen to it that way.
Thanks for any help.
Hi. I am looking for an app that can automatically listen to files, then find there song names and rename the files. These would be files that have no tags and are only named with numbers instead of song names. So for example, I want the app or iTunes script or whatever is out there to take a file called 1.mp3 with no tag info and figure out that it is called faraway by NickelBack and then rename it. Is there such a thing? Thank you.
Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe š I'm running Sequoia on an M2 MacBook Pro. I'm looking for an accessible physical security key to use with my Mac for secure logins to things like internet forums and other services. What good accessible physical security keys would people recommend and why?
Hi,
I've been looking for a new Anti Virus software, and I saw this app called bit defender being recommended. However, I'm not sure how to use it, as when I downloaded it, I found it quite confusing.
I was wondering if someone would be able to record a podcast demonstrating how it works?
Cheers
Hubert
Now that downcas is a pain to use under osx I'm looking for something that will be slick and not go busy on me when loading 60 podcast eps. Overcast is good, however it is not an app. I don't want to do anything through the web. Instacast is dead so can someone recommend something I can use on both iOs and osx that offers what overcast does but in a more intuitive interface? I love the smart speed feature and wish other apps could offer that.
Hi everyone hope you're all doing well and staying safe. I know there is a video player for macOS Catalina specially designed for blind people that reads out subtitles of the video files loaded into it but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called. If somebody could please post a link to it here that would be very helpful thanks very much everyone :-)
