Hi
Does anyone know how to get universal control to work between the mac and iPad with VoiceOver enabled? I've set up all the options a needed, but still need a way to trigger the switch to the iPad using the keyboard instead of moving the pointer to a certain place. Is there a way around that?

For anyone interested, I have made up some VoiceOver keys which make VoiceOver behave more like NVDA / Jaws, by using the Keyboard Commander.

The included link to the Zipm file gives you my exported keyboard command preferences, and all the scripts I use.

To make the scripts work, you'll either have to put them in ~/Dropbox/backups, or just rejig the keys to point them at the right place.

This is a slimmed down version of the scripts I used in the guide I posted yesterday, using single scripts, rather than scripts that call shell scripts.

In Numbers, since VoiceOver already says cell addresses, is it possible to make it stop saying row numbers when moving up and down? This would cut down on verbalization quite a bit.

Hi all. I am lost here so hopefully we can figure this out. I wanted to read an article on the daily telegraph, i could only read if I subscribed. because I was hooked I did, knowing i had three months free access. I wanted to cancel just after I read the article, but it only goes to the app store, I bought it on the telegraph site using Apple pay. so how do I findit? I haven't gotten the receipt from appple yet, so i'm guessing that's why it's not showing up. If anyone can help that would be great. thanks. I just don't want to spend the twelve bucks.

Hello everyone, I have a MacBook Air which I bought in 2015. It is a 13 inch. I believe it is running. macOS iOS 16 Monterey. I am trying to install the new update, however, it is saying that there is not enough storage. I have deleted applications that are no longer use, deleted files, and photos, however there is still not enough space. Does anyone know an easy way to clear space of the Mac?

I'm a relative newbie when it comes to using VoiceOver, but it would seem to me that Wordpress, at least desktop browser versions, aren't very accessible. I know the mobile Wordpress app makes things significantly easier, but am having trouble with my web host server. I wanted to see what other solutions or advice people in the community are using. TIA.

Can anyone show me the best way to manually get content from the latest version of iTunes to my iPhone? Doesn't seem as easy as it should be anymore... Thanks!

I am wondering if those of you who write in Markdown have a specific editor you use or is TextEdit good enough? I do a lot of writing using markdown and i convert it to other formats using Pandoc, and I have been using TextEdit, but i wonder if there is something better.

this message is especially for people using the MarsEdit blogging application.
I am finding difficulties on an operation: installing the browser bookmarklet.
This extra-tool included in MarsEdit, is needed to have the ability to blog any web page; you find a nice poetry you want to blog and comment on, you just press "send to marsedit" from Safari's bookmark bar, and the MarsEdit app will open with a new post containing the page you were browsing.
But, there is a but.

Does anyone know of a Mastodon client for Mac that is accessible using VoiceOver?
I've read something about Mona, but I'm not interested in paying for the Twitter app, because the web is enough for me.

I have been using Pinafore, but they have recently abandoned the project. I know there is Metatext, but I don't like it on Mac.I could use the official page of my instance, but it gets on my nerves that VO says "article" before every Toot.

I don't mind if I have to use two accessible apps one for blue sky and one for mastodon. I recently heard about the Mastodon client Mastonaut. I'm currently just using Metatext on my M1 Mac, but it certainly would be nice to have a native Mastodon client. Has anyone tried this and is it accessible? Don't want to sink my money into it if not.

I've been recently looking for online math resources at the high school level. However, VoiceOver doesn't seem to completely handle mathML correctly on websites, meaning its mostly hit and miss. Has anyone found resources that work reasonably well with VoiceOver?

Hi all, I've got some maths questions, and VO is announcing symbols like degrees and pie in a different language. For example π doesn't come up as py. Is anyone else having this issue? if so, is there any way to have VO announce the symbol as py?

Just within the last couple of days My apple mail and gmail account have been behaving very strangely. When I move messages and then close my mail app, the next time I open the app the messages are back in my inbox. Does anybody have any fixes other than changing to another mail provider? I have iMap/gmail set up and that is what mac mail accesses. Any info would be appreciated.
