Mac
Hello. On Windows I like media players with minimalistic design, but packed with features and good keyboard support. Daum Potplayer is a good example for that. Now I wonder if something like this exists for Mac? iTunes is great but the interface is too complicated for just listening music or audiobooks. What I would like to find is something that I could launch on a folder with media files and start listening and operate it with simple keystrokes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hi all,
on windows, we have km player or pop player which can set tts to read the external subtitle file.
I would like to know is there any media player on mac which have the same function or similar function?
Many thanks
Hi all.
I'm currently using VLC. Maybe I'm just dumb and there's a way to do it, but what I'd like to do is be able to point it at a directory of music and say, play that. So far as I can tell, you can't though. So I'm looking for a better player, no not Apple Music.
AirBorne is a flight simulator you fly entirely by ear and by keyboard. It is free, it runs on macOS and Windows, and the 1.0 beta is available today.
It was not built by taking a simulator and bolting speech onto it. There was never a screen to adapt: everything the aeroplane knows, it says, and everything a sighted pilot reads at a glance is one keystroke away here. That decision shows up in small places — the instruments live on the number row and answer whatever else is going on, so asking your airspeed is never something you have to leave a menu to do.
Hi all. I'll try to explain this. I have a memory card, it's one of those little ones that go into an adapter. Anyway the Mac recognizes it, but when I click on a photo to send it, I get the options: get info force eject, view options arrange by sub menu and i think quick look. So I don't se the hare sub menu which is what I want to send the pix via mail or twitter or whatever. First, does anyone knwo what i mean by this and second, how can I fix it? Thanks all.
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to mention contacts in iMessage on my Mac. I can't get the possible mention buttons to press, and I've tried all of the conventional activation methods.
Any help would be great. I also can't get text predictions to work properly, and I can't figure out how to access them like I can on iOS.
Thanks,
Rich Y.
On my 2021 14 MacBook Pro, it only shows 15 status menu items, the only way I can get it to show the icons that it doesn't show is to quit some of those apps that are running in the menu bar.
Can anyone tell me how to make it so that it will display all the menu items?
I am on macOS Ventura 13.4.
Hi,
I am finding lately that I have a lot of items in my little menu extras bar--most of them are utilities that just sit and run quietly, except when they get in my way as I try to navigate over to wifi settings. Has anyone found an effective solution for organizing them? I know there are quite a few options out there, but think they all re-organize visually, which doesn't help us VO users.
Hello:
AM using a website called landr.com in my music production.
However i have a very bad thing, when i need to download my files, after i click on download, it appears as a menu and i should choose between Formats etc. this menu can not be reached using VO on safari at all.
I tried many times, some times i can,
so, is there a way to find this?
I tried VOCR but it can not see it.
just a sited person told me that this is menu over other text.
Floting window for instance? do not know it's name.

Dear all, have any of you ever had the experience of creating message rules for mailing lists that you are subscribed to only to find that they don't work as exspected anymore?
Why is my Messagesapp no longer working onmy Mac? Until a couple days ago,I was able to send and receive messages on both my Mac and my iPhone. I canstill send and receive on my iPhone, but Mac's Messages app seems only to send to other iPhone accounts. I'm sure I mistakenly hit some switch somewhere but could use advice to get back to normal. Thanks much
When I updated to Big Sur a majority of my messages in my messaging app disappeared. They still are on my phone and watch but not on the computer. All of the correct boxes appear to be checked in preferences. Before I contact apple I wanted to see if any of you have ideas?
As always thanks for the thoughts!
for those who use messages app on the mac often: how do you make it speak every incoming message? or at least jump between text entry field and the bottom of the transcript easily? the usual suspect such as hotspot doesn't work.
I cannot activate messages in Mavericks. I have not utilised this feature since upgrading. The log in is grade out, so is the status area when I try to change my status to available.
