hi to all, do other people notice that when in pages and you get to the end of a document, that voiceover bounces you out of the document area in mac osx 10,13? also, when trying to edit in an e-mail any text typed it appears that voiceover is not tracking the cursor focus. is this behaviour noticable to other people? thanks, Will
Mac
So a friend of mine who had sold his mac already a while ago (spoiler: because of Ventura instability and accessibility problems) has recently decided to buy a new one, macbook air m2 base model which has 16gb unified memory, which isn't a bad deal at all. So I was telling him the changes since sonoma (which he was already a bit familiar with) and sequoia. We had this conversation 3-4 days after he receiving it. The first thing he told me is that it's so much stable and actually usable now, voiceover is actually a useful tool now. So we spent maybe two hours on facetime?
Hey everyone howβs it going?
I saw some post that you can play mortal Kombat on Mac. Can I get this from the App Store? Also, is there any other great fighting games similar to this on Mac? I just downloaded street fighter for iOS could I also get this through the Mac App Store? I use to play battle cry under this same user name and was one of the top gamers but recently given my account to a friend of mine. Since then, Iβve been looking around for some more games I could just become TheStrongest in lol.
Thanks for the feedback looking forward to the responses
Hey fellow mac users, what is the most accessible app for recording, and fairly simple audio mixing/editing? I know garage band, audacity, and reaper all exist, but Not sure which is most accessible. Or if thereβs an app I don't know about please let me know. I have feeling the answer will probably be garage band. Are there any decent guides written with accessibility in mind? I'd take audio guides too, though I do prefer written if they exist?
Hello All,
could you share the way you are using Facebook messaging on Mac OS? After Facebook seems removed the Messaging option from m.facebook.com and messenger.com is not the best place for have convenient messaging experience, I'm a bit unsure how to reach this feature on Mac OS 10.15.7. AFAIK the Stand-alone Messenger app on Mac OS also has accessibility issues. Tried to search for any information about why the Messaging was removed from the mobile site or whether was this fully removed and not disabled, but found nothing related.
Thanks
Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe. I need to use Google sheets and Google Docs on my 2019 MacBook Pro for work purposes, currently what's the most accessible way of doing this on macOS please? Thank you very much for your help everyone :-)
Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe a big thank you to those that helpped me with my last post :-) it's been a few years since I've looked into this and I'm currently running Monterey on a late 2019 MacBook Pro. currently what is the most accessible way of accessing and running tor on mac os? Thanks very much for your help everyone :-)
Hi all,
I am using my M1 MacBook Air with basic configuration with the latest version of the MacOs.
The issue I am having is that most of the native apps like music, text edit, mail, Safari and notes in particularly are running sluggishly and VO keeps on saying that an app in question is not responding or that the app is busy. this persists for minutes altogether and I tare my hair in frustration.
I repaired the OS, performed first aid on the disk but no joy!
Please help!
Thank you and have a smashing day!
Hi all!
In Mavericks with VoiceOver, is it possible to route the mouse to the location of the VoiceOver cursor and vice versa? Also, what is the keyboard command for left click?
Hi
i am partially sighted and use both Zoom and VoiceOver together. I navigate mostly by mouse pointer using the touchpad. This combination was brilliant before Catalina.
Since updating, I find that the mouse pointer jumps around in certain circumstances, such as typing in Mail, selecting a dropdown list in most apps or reading a webpage in Safari. usually, when it jumps around the words "Application Dialogue" is announced and the reading that VO was doing is stopped.
Anyone know what the keyboard shortcut is to change mouse pointer behavior to Follows VoiceOver Cursor?
In VoiceOver Utility, Navigation, you can set the behavior of the mouse pointer to Move, ignore, or follow the VoiceOver cursor. I generally leave this set to Ignore VoiceOver Cursor. But sometimes, and I don't know how, this setting flips from Ignore to Follow VoiceOver Cursor. I assume I must be hitting some keyboard shortcut by accident that triggers this change. If I knew what the shortcut was, maybe I could avoid pressing it.
I try to use screen readers 100% of the time, however it's necessary to visually resolve things. For me that means high magnification of anywhere from 10 to 32 x magnification with higher contrast.
Iβm about to open a feedback report. But I thought Iβd throw this dog out to the community and see if anyone besides me wants to give it a kick. How many other MacOS users have been bitten by this? How frequently does it happen? Please chime in. I recall Mr. Grieves has ran into this. Others?
If you have MousePointer set to Ignores VoiceOver curser, as many of us do, sometimes it spontaneously and inexplicably switches from Ignores VoiceOver Cursor to Follows VoiceOver Cursor. This setting is in VO Utility, Navigation, Mouse Pointer.
