Hello all.
Since I use a lot of google suit products, I have a few questions about them.
I have already started a thread for google docs.
Now I have another issue.
How to read a slide during slide show?
So I do command + enter and start the slide presentation.
Given that left and right arrows change slides, I need to know how can I read the slide from top to bottom line by lline?
VO + shift + down arrow has not helped getting focus in the right place.

Hey everyone,
returning Mac user after a good 5 or so years without one. I'm slowly learning everything, but in the past I've seen people navigating by a specific heading level. Info from the Voiceover help section on web nav doesn't really seem to have anything about this?
I'm sure in the past you've been able to do VO 2 for heading level 2, 3 for heading 3, (or some variation there of). Now it all seems to be tied to hotspots and I can't figure out what it would be?
I'm normally a Safari user, but I'm currently working through an online course which supposedly has been optimized to work in Google Chrome. Apologies if this is a total no-brainer, but how does one move through items in a dropdown menu after the options have been expanded?
I recently god back in to the Mac eco system, which I still love And using again.
I can get around great accept for the element matrix app.
I bridge my whatsapp conversations signal and telegram stuff in to it. Problem is:
I can scroll through messages however the cursor seems to land randomly on messages.
Is there any trick or view I should use to navigate element more of ease?
Thanks in advance, Vincent.
Hi!
I've seen for a time now, that many of you are using Google groups for communicating on many useful topics.
I've had a brief look at it, but I really can't figure out a efficient way of navigating the web-site on Mac Safari, or iOS either for that sake...
I can't use headings to navigate, and it seems like VO is reading a lot of stuff double and messing up links big time...
So how do you all do it? Since the web-site at first glans doesn't seem to be very accessible, is there some other solutions?
Thanks in advance! :)
Hi There,
I have created a note on Apple Notes.
It is quite a lengthy note, so i have gone through and used the 'Headers" feature in the note composer to mark the various Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 headers throughout the note.
Later when i go back to the note and try to navigate through the content using the headers menu, voiceover does not recognize any of the headers I had marked.
Does anybody know what is the issue here?
My end goal is to be able to quickly navigate through lengthy pieces of content on Apple Notes.
Hello all,
I was wondering how to deal with large PDFs on a Mac. For example, I have the Apple manual for Logic Pro with over 1400 pages. My specific questions:
Which app do you use to read the document?
How do you navigate in this document? In the preview it's quite awkward - but it could also be that I'm using the wrong shortcuts.
How do you search in the document? With CMD+f, the search results are displayed, but unfortunately I can't jump to them.
Thank you very much for your insights.
Many greetings from Günther
Hi
What’s the best way to navigate lists with Safari and VoiceOver? Is it possible to skip List Markers for example or Start or End of group ? Is it possible to hear all the items in a list rather than having to navigate to each one ? Many thanks Claire
I am using a Macbook pro 2018 OS 11.2.3. I am navigating the table for my mail messages using vo <arrow keys>. Currently when I navigate down in a column I hear the item in the cell, like from or subject. When I navigate in the same row I am taken back to the top row and need to navigate down to get to the message I want to read. This makes it pretty difficult to find the message I want to read. Sometimes it will actually read a row cell by cell, but most of the time it will not. Anything I need to do to get this to work?
Hello my friends:
am a mac user for more than 10 years, but I am not happy while navigating my mac,
Yes, i can find what i need, but navigating finder is not so smooth for me.
I'm using the list view, and i should interact each time for each folder, sometimes the first letter navigation is not working, and my quick nav is off.
when i was using windows, i can navigate very quickly,
SO is there any podcast on the best way to navigate finder in mac os?
Thanks
Hello, wonderful members of AppleVis
I work with lots of documents and sometimes I need to navigate quickly through the options or the content of the texts. I need an efficient way to navigate to the content I assign a shortcut to in MacOS different apps. I know there is the hot spot, unfortunately if I assign a number to a hot spot, the hot spot is made specific to the app I assigned the hot spot number for. The web spots are only available for web pages. Is there any other way I can do this?
Thanks.
Hello
On safari how can I move backwards to previous link that I have opened and how can I move by links?
Thank you
I'm reaching out to fellow Mac users for any tips or tricks you’ve discovered for navigating tables in Pages and Microsoft Word using VoiceOver. As some of you may know, Apple has made table navigation in Pages particularly challenging. I often lose control of Quick Nav, and I find myself constantly needing to interact and stop interacting with the table just to move around. The arrow keys frequently stop responding, and the cursor can jump unpredictably, making things even more frustrating.
Hi all,
I have got a new Macbook air M2. I was using Mac and shifted to Windows 2 years ago as I used office programs a lot. Now, after I'm back to Mac I'm trying to use MS word again using VoiceOver. I noticed some improvements, however I have questions to resolve some of the challenges that I face.
Introduction:
In the ever-evolving world of technology, updates and changes are a common occurrence. One such change that has recently taken center stage is the reimplementation of Quick Nav in VoiceOver on macOS, coinciding with the release of macOS Sonomo. This shift in functionality has sparked a wave of discussion and, for some users, a degree of confusion.
This is something that I’ve never really got to grips with, so I figure that I should before I actually need to rely on Time Machine to get me out of a hole (smiles)
So, would somebody please explain how to navigate through the versions of a file available in TM and restore the one that you want. Thanks!
Has anyone else experienced problems navigating Wikipedia pages? Lately, VO+Right sporadically jumps to the end of the article and takes me to the footer text.
I know that Wikipedia recently changed the article layout so that Contents appear first, but I'm also aware that Safari has historically skipped text while reading wikipedia pages, so I must suspect this new behavior is Safari- or VoiceOver-related.
hello,
I have a question, I would like to know if someone can help me:
In Google Chrome browser, how do I navigate between lines, words and characters and make the selection?
In Safari by turning off quick Nav, I can navigate between lines using up/down arrows and navigate between words using Option + left/right arrows, adding shift to select.
Thanks!
