Hello everyone.
Mac
i just purchased my first Mac. It is an M1 Air. i can't play music because I am not authorized. I am not able to read pdf attachments using preview. I have an 8tb hard drive that was formatted and filled in windows using xfatwhich I would like to be able to use on the Mac. How can I do this. If I can't what do I do to make my windows data available to me. Finally, why am I being charged for apps such as Sonos Controler and Drop Box that are free on the IPhone and PC? Thanks and sorry for all the questions.
Hello, as you can read by the subject I have recently taken the plunge and purchased a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" w/o touch bar. I've been a long time user of Windows and thought that it was time to dip my toes in the Mac pool. Now I know that Macs are not for everyone and have even heard some members bash Apple and others glorify them.
Hello, All,
I hope you all are having a great holiday season! :-)
I received my first Mac for Christmas, and, I have some questions.
1. Is there anything that I should know/need to know as a new Mac user? (Tips, tricks, etc?)
2. Are there any resources, guides, etc that will be helpful for a new Mac user?
Are there any AppleVis-spicific resources that would be helpful for a first-time Mac user?
Hey everyone!
I'm new to the form here. I recently bought a Mac and I've noticed that Voiceover is really slow in web browsers. I can barely even load Reddit without my Mac saying "busy". It's not just Reddit though, Amazon as well. Everywhere else, Voiceover is fairly snappy. I don't think it's the specs of the Mac; MBP 2020 13 inch, 16 gigs RAM, and 1TB HD. Any help would be appreciated. I love Windows, but I've always wanted to give Mac OS/Voiceover an honest try.
As I'm sure everyone knows, the mac version of the Microsoft office sweet is five years old and totally inaccessible.
Microsoft has just released a public bata for a new version of the office sweet. I have no idea if these apps are any more accessible then their pathetic predecessors, because they only work with 10.10 and I am still running Mavericks on my main machine. I intend to look into these new options soon.
Hi guys. I wanted to post this topic to let you know that a new version of Radegast has been released. It is a virtual worlds viewer for the blind and works with Second Life. This version is a start to fixing the buggy issues with the version found on the old Radegast website. It isn't specifically designed for Mac but the developer is a Mac user so she is hoping it will work as a temporary fix.
Shadows of The Circuit is an indie stealth game where sound is everything. In a low-light environment, instead of relying on visuals, you navigate the world by listening, tracking drones by their movement, judging space through audio cues, and deciding when to move or stay perfectly still.
I am a fairly recent macbook user and I'm struggling somewhat with iTunes. Any general tips and hints would be gratefully received, i.e organising play lists, and general navigation.
I am new to Mac and new to Logic Pro. Mac is so hard to use compared to Windows. Anyway, I have a few questions:
Is the Kontakt Player accessible? I have already learned to ask VST creators if their products are accessible.
Also, is there any way to use Mac more like Windows, i.e. just arrow keys without needing to press capsloc? I have changed some settings to make things easier but it is still tough.
I have the blind nija key commands installed for Logic. I still wish for a simpler view without all the perimeters and numbers.
Hi i am new to the mac and am having trouble with the vo commands. I have to navigate sites by the track pad because I don't know a lot of the vo commands. For instance how to find buttons, check boxes, and edit boxes. I have used the vo commands user guide but it doesn't tell you the commands for these commands and more. Does anyone know how to learn these commands. using the track pad takes so long because I have to scroll through the entire page just to find what I am looking for. Also I am having trouble adding my email and reading them.
Hello, software engineering student here. I've had the Mac for less than a week now and I'm trying to set up my usual working environment.
Can someone recommend a text editor to write LaTeX? I downloaded TextMate for coding in Python but I still haven't gotten around to playing with it.
Should I use it for LaTeX as well? Any better recommendations?
Hi
I have recently bought a MacBook Air and I am having problems using the trackpad commander when voiceover is on. It skips lines and jumps about the menu. There is also a lag. I assume you can use the trackpad gestures as well as the keyboard commands without any issues or do they conflict? Apple did a clean install and I am still having issues. I am new to using a Mac so Iād appreciate any advice. Thanks.
Hi,
I bought mac book and need to install os.
Every thing is deleted. When I start, I get 4 options on OS X utilities
I press Reinstall OS X
then I press continue
Then Agree
Then I select disk where to install OS X
The it ask for Apple ID and password
When I enter my Apple ID and password which I use on iPhone 6, it says "this item is temporarily unavailable. Try again later"
What should I do?
I just got a brand new MacBook Pro last week and I'm completely clueless on how to use it. I thought that Voice-Over would work very similar to the way it does on my iPod and iPhone when using a Bluetooth keyboard, but it doesn't. I can't even get to the apps on the desktop or anything.
