This topic may have come up before, but I am new to the AppleVis site and have not had ample time to browse the forums section. I am a music teacher and have a masters degree in music. I would like to know if there is any software that is accessible with VoiceOver for music composition on the Mac.

Hello everyone. I've been experiencing a rather odd problem in iTunes on my Mac Book Air, and wondered if this is happening to anyone else. I recently moved an entire album to the trash that I downloaded for free from another website. I of course listened to it the whole way through, and loved it. But I hit Command-Delete to move it to the Trash, and then Command-Shift-Delete to empty the trash. However, the music from that album is still playing immediately following any podcasts or other audio that I download and listen to.

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that changes I make to a playlist on the Mac Music app do not sync across all my devices. My iPhone, Apple TV, and Mac are all signed into the same account, and all have sync Music turned on. When I add a new album or song to Music on the Mac, this syncs across all my devices. The problem only seems to occur with updating playlists. I have tried updating my music library on the Mac, but the changes made to the playlist disappear after doing this.

Hi. Are there any good userguides for this app? I'm really struggling to play stuff either in my library or from apple music. I'm new and I'd just like to make the learning process as efficient as possible.

Hi,
I'm streaming music through a web player and every time the song changes, VO notifies me that music started playing in the background. I looked through VO Utility, Safari preferences for a particular website, and system preferences. What obvious setting am I missing and how do I turn these announcements off? Thanks!

Hi everyone.
I have a m1 MacBook Air running sequoia
I use iphone mirroring, and I have iphone notifications come to my mac.
Every once in a while, when I’m using my bluetooth headphones, if I get an iPhone notification , the music app will pop up at random and start playing music
I’m a new Mac OS user, so I’m wondering what I may have done to cause this strange behavior or is this a known thing
Thanks in advance for any solutions It’s not a dealbreaker but more of an annoyance when it happens.

I have noticed lately that when I purchase music on my mac, it does not ask me for my password. However, anytime I download an app from the app store, it does want a PW. What I want is to be prompted for a PW when I purchase music also. is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Hi all,
under iOS, I can simply access the music recognition in the control center in all apps. When I now listen to music mixes via YouTube, for example, and want to know what the name of track is, I just must double-tap on the music recognition button in the control center. Is there any simple way to do the same in Safari on macOS? the best way would be to add a Shazam button to the toolbar in Safari. I've already tried out the shazam app, but didn't find it very accessible and usable.
What can you recommend?

Hello all- I have some musical questions today.
*1 can somebody give me some pointers about how to use the score editor in Logic Pro? I can get it to read notes out but how do I modify them?
*2 anybody around here know the latest on BME [Braille Music editor] or similar for Mac OS? I had read somewhere that a Mac version was in the works...

Hi All,
I'm all for making life easier :) recently i'm going through the frustrations of sound cards on windows, updating my sonar program and updating the necessary scrips for jaws!
Wouldn't it be so wonderful if our macs could turn in to recording studios! with everything else apple products are so so easy! :)
I know we can use garage band but I can't get my head around it at all! is it fully accessible with voice over? are we to record our vocals for example in IOS device and then send to mac?

so i am wondering about something, is it possible to deactivate the announcement of for example headings, links and what not when navigating around with VO? Especially on web, it's quite anoying to hear the formating information first, followed by the thing you are looking for, stuff as.
"Heading level 1, search results".
It should say "Search results" on it's own or "Search results, heading level 1". Those of you who know Windows and use NVDA or JJaws possibly know whatI mean.

Hi, all. Is there no longer a way to mute Voiceover speech with the keyboard commander? I just got a new Mac Mini, and discovered there is no longer an option-v command for muting speech. Does keyboard commander still use scripts? I'd be willing to learn to write them to get this command back. I use it a lot. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hi all,
I am not sure if I am posting in the right section, still I am wondering about a problem in VO. I don't like VoiceOver sound feedbacks, so I switch that off. Still each time I mute VO and then unmute it sound feedbacks are on again. Another thing related to that, I play MP3's with QuickLook, I mute VO and it crashes while I am playing my audio files, sometimes it switches itself off and on again with "VoiceOver on", sometimes it is unmutes itself etc! Is it something I am only facing or any other person has had the same?

Hi all, I'm hoping someone has an answer to this, if there is one.
On the track pad on the mac, you can use a lot of the same gestures as you can on the phone, such as the three finger double tap for speech and three finger tripple tap for screen curtain. I was wondering if there was a keyboard shortcut for any of these (I know for screen curtain there is, but escapes me right now). Those things are the only things I really use the track pad for, and I'd like to just disable the track pad altogether if there are keyboard shortcuts for these two commands.

Up until last week I have always used the Left Control key to temporarily stop Voice Over chattering away. This is an incredibly useful feature. Suddenly it has stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this or have any fixes?

the bank is delighted with new look, but it has tiles and uses mouse hovering to view pages. The bank is in review of how to instruct me and I spend much time looking for links. Bank knows I use a mac air and VO. think they are googling it! any suggestions?

I am actually very surprized why nobody seems to talk about this over here. The openai livestream topic is too big so maybe I missed some comments about that there.
So I have been trying chatgpt for mac since a couple of days and noticed a few things.
First, with very very long thread, I was consistently getting snr with apple's best browser everyone hate here because of the screen reader, for obvious good reason when gpt was generating the answer. This is no longer an issue with the app.
