I need to use my Iphone as my external mike for my mac studio .
i followed all steps but Iphone Mike is not visible under system preferences/sounds/input
even, can not use my Iphone as my Mac camera on facetime, so, facetime is not working now at all.
Are there any solutions please?

Hello,
there is a program I wish to play on the BBc iPlayer website in Safari. However, I am not able to access any of the playback controls using voiceover. Can anyone provide tips on how to do this? Particularly, I am interested in rewinding and fast forwarding archived programs such as sport and dramas.
I am running the latest version of Sierra.

Does anyone use any specific apps for IPTV? I just wondered if there were any accessible with Voiceover for the Mac? I'm using a 2020 M1 Macbook Air. Any recommendations would be great. This is in no way a promotion for or an endorsement of IPTV or any service provided by any individuals or companies. I'm only looking for an accessible app that I can use

Does anyone have some experience in using Atlasssian Jira for issue tracking and Crucible (or fisheye) for code review? I am trying to use them on Safari with VoiceOver. I can read the content on these pages in most cases, but it make use of deep levels of frame, table, and groups, so it is not very productive to find some content buried in the leaf of deep tree structure. Also, I can't read review comments from other reviewers attached to some lines of code.

Frankly, I did not want to use Icloud +, but i should because my Whatsapp backup is so big, this is why am using it,

can we use only Icloud + in our life? i mean can we share files with others? if they do not have icloud or not so good in using internet?

I'm trying to add a shortcut key to open Pages in keyboard Commander. I selected the letter p to use, but it says that letter is already being used. I selected another letter and it said the same thing. Those letters do not appear in the commander table. I think my computer doesn't like me.

Since I can't afford 1password, I installed LastPass on my machine because it had quite good reviews.
It took me a while to get it running but there wa no problem so far. The thing I find not accessible is the context menu options when in a form, for example to indicate you want to replace the old password with a newly generated one. The manual says that option is there, but VO only reads LastPass.
Does anyone use this manager? Do you replace the password manually?

Hi,
are there any manuals or recommendable web sides how to use MS Office on the Mac efficiently with VoiceOver? At the moment I’m simply using the normal VO standard navigation commands like VO + j and VO + Arrow keys in conjunction with interaction into the elements. Seems to be a bit uncomfortable.
Maybe it’s uncomfortable to use MS Office on the Mac but maybe someone knows ways or resources to use it more efficiently.

So I bootcamped my MacBook a few months ago, thinking I'd use it as a backup just in case my windows breaks. And my windows broke, so now I'm using the MacBook as both a mac and windows. The thing is, I'm finding I love this arrangement! I love having windows and mac on one unit.
Here's my question: is there something I can use to switch between windows and mac without having to reboot the system every time? I'm thinking that when my windows comes back from warrantee servicing, I might just sell it and switch to this new system.

My aim is to study computer science for my undergrad. Currently, I am a pretty good jaws user, and I can get around macOS just fine. I know that many sighted users use macOS, particularly in university for computer science, however, when I look online, it’s been quite difficult to find any resources for a visually impaired programmer on macOS. Are there any good resources I can use? For example, with windows, there’s all sorts of videos and tutorials and articles, along with things like jaws scripts, that help with multiple different IDEs, terminal, etc.

also, sometimes need to put links with tags in order not to make the link visible to the client.
so, can i use Markdown inside the native mail app on mac?
i tried services/convert html to markdown, but it does not work.
so are there any other ideas?

Hi, all. Earlier this year, I discovered MarsEdit. It's blog editing software that allows me to update and add to my website which uses WordPress. I gave the software a trial run and then purchased it. Since I have a couple websites and am pretty new at maintaining them, I was so pleased to know that I could add and edit pages to the sites. I communicated my excitement to Daniel, the developer of MarsEdit. He was very pleased. He warned me, however, that if I upgraded to Sierra, I may encounter some difficulty navigating the rich text editor with VoiceOver.

I need to do some work on Excel files that have been created on Windows, but I will need to edit them on my Mac. The documents are pretty basic, so what's the best app to do this? I know there's Numbers, but it's £14.99 from the Mac app store so I just wanted to see if this is the best accessible way before buying it, or is there another one out there that I might be better off using?

This may sound a bit crazy, but now that the iPhone mirroring feature works poorly with VoiceOver, why not just use my MacBook’s keyboard to control my iPhone? There are many paid apps on the App Store, but I’m looking for an accessible, free alternative.
Any suggestions? Thank you!
