I have a problem with my mac. I turned it on this morning and it wont boot. It keeps telling me Mac OSX could not be installed. It says something about the os install.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged. What do I do to get my mac back up and running?

I have a concert that am using my Bluetooth headphones to listen to my VOice over,
but when i go away from my laptop, it disconnects, and when i back again my laptop is connected to external speakers and VOice over will speak from these speakers, so, is there a hot key that we can assign to change audio output without VOice over or mouse?
Need it urgent please because my concert is tomorrow.

I was working on an important ddocument on text edit, and i saved it, then by accident, i renamed the document, and start typing other things after i deleted all the document content.
now, i need to get back the original content that were in my document.
i used the revert back in the text edit, but with no luck, i read on apple that it is possible to do so, but i did with no luck.
note that this document is in my icloud drive.
is there any hope to get my old document content?

Last night I have 7.39gb of space on my Mac, then later on that night I had 7.21. Not that bad if you're just talking about that alone. However I have nothing open that should be eating my space, nothing downloading, nothing no one's putting anything in my Dropbox, so that's out. I don't have any spyware, according to malware bytes. Any other ideas of what could be eating my space? Thanks!
Let me begin by saving you a headache possibly. If you're not an advanced Voiceover user, this post most likely isn't for you. That said, I'm willing to let anyone help regardless their skill level, if they think they can.
OK, first of all, let me explain what I'm trying to do. I have Loopback from Rogue Ameba, or however that's spelled, forgive me. I also have a personal license for Reaper 6.78 and have Osara, and SWS both installed and totally up to date. This is on a Macbook Air 2020 M1 system running the latest build of Ventura.

I can download all the voices, but one off them makes something crash.
This voice is Polish Zosia.
What to do?
I need this voice, in extended version, because I have trouble to understand the compact one, and the second Polish voice is overly accenting stuff, which makes me want to throw this 13000 pln laptop out off the window.

In VoiceOver on the latest public stable build of macOS 26 Tahoe, there exists a command to toggle keyboard braille access (VO+shift+y).
However:
1. Not only Voiceover doesn’t announce anything when we navigate even if Speak List Items and Speak Typing Feedback are checked under Braille Access tab in the braille category in VoiceOver Utility,
2. But we can’t go back to regular query keyboard without being forced to restart VoiceOver.
Hi my question is twofold, I am debating, weather to get the new 13 inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. And at some point, I will Boot Camp it and put a Windows partishion on it. Before I go ahead and buy the computer, Can anyone tell me if the Touch Bar is accessible in the windows? What I mean by this, does JAWS screen reader see the Touch Bar as an additional touchscreen? If not, what hints and tricks that people use to get around it?

This is for anyone who has the 2015 macbook. Can anyone recommend a usb C. accessory that will allow me to plug in a USB hard drive, and an ethernet cable and also charge the macbook at the same time? I love my 2015 macbook, but I can't stand the fact that I can't plug a usb device into the usb C. to Usb adapter and have to run the macbook off of battery power. Is there a solution?

Hi all. I'm using a logitech headset now which is asking to be buried in the headset graveyard. I don't know what i do to them, but I swear they last me a year, perhaps two. Given that, I don't want ot spend three hundred dollars to ask this question in two or three months years. I see a ton of great headsets the problem ismost of them use drivers for windows to install surround sound and the like, but the Mac doesn't do that if I'm right. I've heard senheizer is good, skull candy and others.
Hi there some one who I was helping on one of the mail ing list is having a problem. Every time they would plug there keyboard in to there iMac the mac would act like nothing was plugged in. Her husbands mac opened the keyboard assistant to connect the keyboard. How does she fix this problem. She tried restarting her mac and plugging it in to other usb ports on her mac.

There are many apps on the macOS which can't be recognized by VoiceOver. Most of them are music apps (especially plugins) which not made with standard AppKit elements. So I made this OCR screen reader.
This app allows you to read most of the texts on the screen, while VoiceOver can't see them. Then using shortcuts, you can navigate between the items and click on one. Finally, you can install that plugin!
I am a long time Windows user and have used JAWS for about 20 years. I have been thinking for a while about getting a Mac and I just found out that my brother is getting me a MacBook Pro for Christmas. I think that I will be able to do most things in the Mac OS but I do want to set it up so that I can use Windows, using Boot Camp. I have not purchased a standalone copy of Windows but I have two HP laptops, one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 8. Obviously, when I purchased these computers, I purchased a license to use the copy of Windows that is on them.

Just noticed this.
According to the user guide:
Option, Use insertion point wrap, column 1
Description, If you type something that’s too long to fit on the current braille line, the braille display is cleared and the insertion point moves to a new line. This option is selected by default., column 2
Deselect this option if you don’t want to clear the braille display when you type past it. The insertion point stays at the end of the line, and you can easily check what you just typed without needing to pan back.

So I finally have Keyboard Maestro, I got a license for Logic Magician. I know there's other useful stuff around for the blind. Anybody have a list somewhere or other? I know there used to be stuff for Native Instruments, but I don't know if that's a thing anymore. But I'm guessing there's other stuff, since it comes up fairly often. What can we do with this thing?
So, I am having an interesting problem with my mac, and it seems to have started when I upgraded to the latest version of OSX. I am running a macbook pro late 2012 model. Normally, I like to put my mac to sleep when I'm not using it, just by closing the lid. Lately, however, when I open the lid to wake it up, I get no speech. I type in my password like I normally would, and then Voiceover just keeps saying "Authentication busy." The only way I can see to get around this is to completely force my mac to restart by using CMD control power button. This is super annoying.

So I installed 1Password, both the app and browser extension, I'm using FIrefox though that shouldn't really matter, I don't think. I'm pretty sure i saved a password and user info. If I get to an email field and hit down arrow, I jump to a 1Password menu, but if I go into it, I have a save submenu, and some other stuff i forget. Nothing about filling in the login info I presumably saved though. Anybody have tips on using this thing? Or is there a tutorial somewhere?
