hi. was wondering, could i purchase or able to legally download the latest osx, and then use it say in vmware player or workstation, under windows 10. is this possible. got a toshiba satellite pro, and well joined a voice over group on groups.io, want to learn how to use the mac. and the reason i did not purchase a mac, was two folder, or three fold.

As a new owner of a Macbook Air, I am trying to use Pages and Numbers. I previously used Microsoft Office with Windows and JAWS and became pretty proficient. However, I would like to gain similar functionality with iWork.
Does anyone know of a good source of information, such as demos and tutorials, on using iWork with VoiceOver. Thanks.

In Windows, when I use the “Save As” command, I often use a file specification to indicate the folder. For example, if I want to save a file named truck.doc in a folder called misc on the c drive, I’ll type c:\misc\truck.doc in the filename box in the Save As command.
How can I do a similar thing in Mac OS, that is, specify the path in the filename to save a file in a particular folder?

I just recently plunged into VoiceOver, after realizing the very hard way, I had no better choice with my declining vision.
I am using a lot of AppleVis resources to accomplish this goal.
Can someone explain me the difference between web spots, auto web spots, sweet spots and hot spots in relation to a web page?

Hi does anyone know how to get save as to work with pages. I am using mountain lion and there is no option on the file menu. I read that you can hold down the option key when in the file menu and save as will come up but I don't manage to get this to happen. How do you bring up the file menu while holding the option key as it is one of the voiceover keys necessary to bring up the file menu in the first place? Is there a short-cut key or another way to bring up the save as option? Thanks.

Hello all,
Does anyone know how to use Steam with Voiceover? There is a game on there called Code 7 that has a blind friendly mode. It is an interactive fiction game. I want to try episode zero wich is free but I cant fugure out how to use steam. I am guessing it is possible since the game can be played by the blind.

Does anyone know off hand whether playing Tobey Fox's game UnderTale would be accessible with screen readers, spesifically VoiceOver? I just heard about this game from some friends of mine, and they want me to play it very badly. However, I do not wish to purchase something that I cannot play.

I'm having a huge problem when it comes to managing tables within word documents on my Mac. I have to complete a document, which is entirely table based, however, VoiceOver simply cannot manage tables. I've tried 3 different word processors, Pages, Microsoft Office Word, and even LibreOffice. None were able to manage tables, LibreOffice didn't even manage to deal with VoiceOver, and completely crashed my Mac.
Does anyone know of an app that is capable of managing tables within documents?

I have a quick question about creating tables in Pages.
When I create a table, I can easily navigate among the cells using VoiceOver. However, when I interact with the text in a cell, VoiceOver says that the cell is empty. When I interact with the cell, VO says the contents. This poses a problem when I want to spell the contents of a cell.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Does anyone know where I can find a guide for using Pages on the Mac? I've got a nested table that I'm trying to work with for school, but I can't figure out how to interact with the elements. I don't know what I did, but I somehow managed to add a bunch of columns to the table, but now I can't figure out how to delete them. Any advice would be quite helpful.
