Hello. I've installed on my IMac last Vmware version, v 10. I have a problem. Everything works very well except the usb. I've virtualised windows 10 and doesn't recognise any usb that I connect. Moreover, if I connect usb, vmware doesn't ask me if I want to connect it on mac or on windows. Someone knows a solution for that?
I have updated the vmware tools and I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the usb controller.
Thanks,
Ambro

See the blog post.
I dunno what provoked them into supporting Windows--they do not explain--but it hardly needs me to explain why this is important to this community. Try it out, and say something.
Hi all,
This is my first time posting in the forum. I am stoked to be a member here! :)
Anyways, I have an issue with Vmware Fusion 8. I created a virtual machine and can't seem to interact with it. I checked on the forum here and found instructions for version 4 I believe.
I click control+command+f for full screen, then VO+shift+space to click the mouse, and also disabled the Mac host keyboard checkbox in the keyboard and mouse tab in preferences.
Hi all,
I just got VMware Fusion a few days ago. And love it. My question is when trying to use ms word to edit documents or any program for that manner, when I press control right arrow to navigate by word fusion switches to the Mac side. My question is how can I still edit documents with windows on VMware Fusion so that I am able to use that command? I have the enable host shortcuts or something like that unchecked so that I won’t get interference but still not working as expected. Any help would be appreciated, as I want to get this to work so I can use it.
Thanks
Hello, yesterday I updated to macOS Tahoe and everything is working fine except for VMware Fusion. I’m trying to run my virtual machine, but when I launch the app, the “Start” button appears, and after a few seconds of pressing this button, it changes to “Suspend,” but then it automatically switches back to “Start,” and my virtual machine does not power on. Do you have any solution? I have the most recent version of the app, which is 13.6.4. I tried ending the process from Activity Monitor, but the problem still remains. I hope someone can guide me and help me solve this issue.
Hello everybody,
I am thinking of running Windows with a virtual machine with VM Ware Fusion. Do I need to create a partition for the virtual machine with Disk Utility? If so, how large should my partition be? How much ram does a virtual machine require?
Thanks so much.
Hi folks,
I'm trying to set up a virtual machine with the latest release of Ubuntu on it using VmWare Fusion. Problem is: I can't find out how to enable Orca right at the beginning.
Any hints?
Thanks in advance.
Hi guys. I decided to install vmware fusion and install windows 11 with that on my m1. I followed the steps (the guide is quite interactive and simple) but when I start the system it tells me that the operating system is not found, when according to the configuration files that are created in my user everything is done correctly and the files to which links exist. What I can do? I tried pressing keys like the narrator or something (to see if it was due to a problem at boot time and you had to press a key to load the OS) but nothing.
Hello.
I recently installed a windows 11 vm on my m1 macbook pro from 2020. This vm was set up as new and was not transfered from any other computer.
However, I am having a problem which I am hoping to find a solution to.
Hello,
I'm trying to help someone who has recently purchased vm-ware fusion, set up there virtual machine.
They have the virtual machine set up, but when they are in the vmware fusion window, they can't interact with the windows virtual machine. I have tried to explain to them that the keyboard input is not being grabbed by the virtual machine. When I told them to press command G however, nothing happens for them.
Any ideas here to fix this problem would be great.
Thanks,
Darrell
I'm the happy owner of a new Macbook Pro, and am successfully getting accustomed to Mac OS X - and let me first say that I'm loving the experience, and am happy that I made the switch. I'm also virtualizing Windows for some Windows-specific game development work I'm doing. I've just hit one little hiccup with my VM, and I'm wondering if someone could help me out.
Hello,
Which is better, VMWare Fusion or boot camp? I know with VMWare, I can run Windows while in OSX but need to share the memory. In BC, Windows will have all the RAM to itself.
Besides the cost of VMWARE, is there advantages or disadvantages one has over the other?
Thanks.
Hello
I have recently updated my iMac to the latest OS. Since then my VMWare Fusion hasn’t worked properly. I can start up my virtual machine, but can’t actually access it after it starts up the same way prior to the OS update. Has anyone experience this and if so, what have you done to resolve it? I’m guessing I might need to update to VMWare 11, but don’t want to do so if it doesn’t resolve the issue.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
