'm taking an online course, and need to verify my identity by taking picture with the built-in camera; however, I cannot get the built-in camera on my Mac Book Pro to work. How can I fix this using Voice Over? I must take the photo directly on the website of the school.
Hi all. i'm the admin user on my Mac, I went to users and groups, then down to log in options, checked the voice over box and clicked the lock. whenI restarted, voice over didn't speak. what did I do wrong? Thanks. I don't really need it on, but with a silent drive it's the only way i know something's happening.

Recently, after updating to Numbers version 10.0 (6748),, voice over does not seem to speak corresponding headers of some rows and columns when moving to different cells. Say I have exceeds more than 16 rows or columns, voice over will not speak its headers. Other times, when table exceeds more than 20 rows or columns.
Does anyone experience the same?

the vo startup problem still exists in the osx release of yesterday and the problem is worse. I have to restart the computer several times to use voice over... I regret upgrading to high sierra... It failes even while upgrading the os to the latest version today and I couldn't read the screen... I hope apple would go into this problem...
I need some help from someone who has experience using Apple Pages for Mac. I have used it for several years now and, overall, I like it. However, often, in pages, I find VoiceOver focus to be a bit unstable.

1. I want to use mouse-cursor-trackine (mouse moves VO-cursor) My issue is, that VO seems to click stuff the mouse moves over. For example when I'm on a small window and want to go to the menu bar VO activates windows the mouse moves over, although they are not activated. Hope someone gets my issure and has a solution :)
2. When I use 2VO with Google Chrome VO starts reading the Website and its elements automatically one by one. In Safari its fine. Maybe someone can help? :)

Hello all-
i have noticed the past few days that when pressing VO Mm to enter the status menus on mac that voiceover is reading 2 clocks. one is at the left end and one at the right end. the one on the right is a regular clock while the one on the left visually looks like an empty box.
How do I get rid of the clock on the left? or is this a monterey bug?

When I go to my speech settings in the voice over utility, the ability to change voices is gone, along with the option to change any of the speech options with VO/command and arrows. Any thoughts?

I have an iMac of 21.5 inch and I have started to have startup problems with voice over after upgrading to high Sierra. vo doesn't start and I have to restart the computer. sometimes the computer doesn't even boot. I have also recovered the os but the problem persisted. Is there anyone else having the same problem?
Good morning I seem to be having problems with my MacBook Air 2020 voice over just stop speaking when I'm scrolling around on the Internet or on the Mac so if anybody else is having this issue when it stops speaking I can still hear the feedback sounds that the air is still moving across but I told you stop speaking I have to put voiceover on and off continuously

This may be a hardware issue with my Mac 2011, but headphones are not recognized automatically by the Sound procedure. So I tried adding headphones as an output device, but VoiceOver doesn't work in this Sound preferences area. The only way I can get it added is to let my sister (who's sighted) do it for me. I also notice that headphones will drop out of the table after a couple of weeks. This may be a known bug that I missed somewhere.
I had this problem with Yosemite , too.
Any ideas?
