hey all,
Curious question, has anyone noticed that Safari will sometimes jump over hole blocks of text on ventura?
It can happen on any site but Wikipedia in particular is really bad with this.

Hi all, I'm putting this here, though the series of games has both moved to all devices, windows iPhone, mac and even android. Anyway I'm stuck on level thirty forgetting a pw from a fictious person called betty. If you know the pw let me know. thanks

I used to love Jump Desktop. It turned my iPad into a Mac. Very slick, but in recent months, maybe years (not used it for a while), VoiceOver has stopped being parsed through the remote connection. I've tried reinstalling, different devices, changing audio output... The lot. Jump Desktop support weren't particularly helpful, saying that they had it working, but I don't know if they did, as I'm not sure they were quite understanding what VoiceOver is or does.

Hello all,
Does anyone use the CAT-software Fluency-Now on the Mac? I have installed the trial version and noticed its interface is pretty accessible. I also found an article about how to use this software on WIndows, but unfortunately, the interface is not similar to the Windows software. I would be interested if someone could tell me how to enable the accessibility options (if there are any). I think the SAPI5 option could work well, but VoiceOver usage would be ideal for me, because I use a Braille Display.

Hi there! So, I really need help here: I need to know if anyone on here uses Voiceover on Mac to access Google Chrome, and if so, do you find it better than JAWS, NVDA or Chromevox? Of the 4 screenreaders mentioned - JAWS, VO, Chromevox and NVDA - which would you say works best, generally with Google Chrome? Sorry I know that's probably a difficult question and may depend on the website, but I'm really stuck here and would just love some feedback from people who know a heck of a lot more than I do! Thanks in advance, Dublin Girl :)

Good evening. One of the jobs I have is working for a newspaper. Macs and the program Apache Open access are used. Is that program accessible with voiceOver? the articles are written and uploaded to a server. if it is not accessible, what Mac program can I use?

Every book or PDF article I've ever scanned/OCRed is in a library of several thousand Word docs, all structured with headings for chapters and sections. This has been fine for 25 years or so on the PC, but I'm really having difficulty switching to the Mac because Word for Mac 2016 is currently choking on these documents, either because of the sheer length of some of them or else something in how Kurzweil 1000 saved metadata or images that I can't get rid of. Many sighted Mac users are having some of the same problems with book-length documents in Word for Mac 2016.

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe. Currently, I find myself in a situation where I need to create timesheets. I'm running macOS Ventura, does anybody know if an app for macOS they can do this please? Thank you very much for your help everyone :-)

Hello, I am currently using windows to do all of my university work as I can't find an app which will let me read and create tables with VoiceOver. As I am doing business this is quite important for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for apps I could try? I am running the latest build of OSX. Cheers.

Hi all.

I have two spaces/desktops right now. One is empty except for Mac HD, the other has SKype, Messenger, and Mona on it.Right now, if I do cmd-tab, it just takes me through every app that is open.

But I set up these spaces because I don't want to have to go through a minimum of three windows or more just to switch apps. So I want cmd-tab to just be restricted to apps in the current space, and if a message happens on Skype, then I'll switch spaces with ctrl-left/right and go into Skype to deal with it.

Hello,

I recently replaced my Windows PC with an M1 MacBook Air. I am looking for a Mac equivalent to Virtual Audio Cable for PC. I am often in Zoom meetings where I need to share my computer sound, but don't want Voiceover's audio to be part of that transmission. I also need a way to be able to monitor the audio that is being transmitted to the virtual sound card. Thank you.

Since upgrading to OS 10 El Capitan, I have encountered a bug where the App. Store is not responsive to VO when launched. For example, when checking for software updates using Menu>About>Software Update, the App Store opens but cannot be navigated with VO. The only workaround I found was to re-start Voiceover while in the App Store. I have reported this to Apple.

Hello all,
I recently reset my 2017 Mack book pro after a fiasco with Boot Camp. Now, whenever I go to the app store I can’t find any main stream apps that I need to download, not even under my download history. I made sure that I am in the US store and still, whenever I try and look for a popular app like Google Drive, Skype, Drop Box or anything like this, the search only returns with a hand full of random 3rd party apps that are distintly of related to the app I am searching for. It is a little nightmare.

I have a Canon All In One printer that does a great job of making PDF documents. There is not an OCR function built into the scanner function. I have read all the various reviews, and Prizmo3 seems to be the best app option to do what I seek. I not above spending the $50 for the app, but I want to make sure there is not anything better, or cheaper.

Hello all,

Recently when I was complaining about my frustration with some accessibility problems on a particular website I said to my friend that surely with all the AI possibilities arising there must be a tool we could use to perform tasks on websites on our behalf. He said he thought there was such a tool on Mac, but he didn’t know what it was and he’s not a Mac user himself. Has anyone got any ideas about what he might be referring to?

Hey,
I would like to find an app that can turn text to audio. I would like it to support daisy books, and be able to break up the tracks by chapter. thank you!
