Hello,
Mac
Hey folks,
I use specific hotspots to quickly jump to items with VoiceOver. I like assigning my top hotspots to VO+1, 2, and 3, but when two hotspots share the same number across different apps, VoiceOver switches apps instead of staying in the current one. For example, if VO+1 is set for both WhatsApp and Messages, and both are open, it jumps to the other appβs hotspot instead of the one in the current app. I tried using activities to make hotspots app-specific, but that didnβt help. Any ideas? Thanks!
hi, was talking to a sighted friend at a dinner on the weekend. he has a apple 2 e. can it be bought back to life, what would he have to do. comes i think with the 5.5 inch floppy disks from the mid 80s. marvin.
so I asked multiple people this and no one had a definitive response to this so I thought I might try my luck on here. for IOS devices, Apple offers Apple care plus which also protects against accidental damage. Is there Apple care plus for the Mac?
Thanks
Hello
I will be purchasing a used M1 MacBook air from a selling later this afternoon and would like to perform a diagnostics on the spot.
The questions is assuming he has completely erased it, can I still do a diagnostics in a pre setup state. Internet won't be a issue because I will use my hotspot.
Looking forward to your response.
So I've been wanting to use more the writing tools recently, I mean even more than usual. For whatever reason, even after my mac was plugged for a long time, in system settings under AI it's still stuck on download and restarts over after reaching 100%. I've rebooted it multiple times, and checked the storage which says I have about 60gb free so this is likely not the problem.
Howdy. For years I've been a happy user of Apple Mail, but a few weeks ago I accidentally pressed a key or two that changed the e-mail text line length displayed from approximately 80 characters to many sentences in a single line.
I apologize if I'm not being clear.
Before, I would arrow down from line to line, each line being only around 80 characters. Now, when I arrow down, each line is multiple sentences long. Editing now takes a lot more time because the line length is so very long.
How do I restore my former text line length?
Thanks!
Hello all,
I am running Ventura 13.5 on my MacBook Pro M1 laptop. Over the past few weeks I've ben getting a series of alert sounds on Mail at random times. Nothing I do stops it. In frustration, I turn off VO, quit or Force Quit Mail, disconnect my external keyboard etc. but the behavior continues after I reopen Mail. I am not aware of any dialog boxes appearing. VO + F2 twice confirms this. It goes away if I restart the machine or after a long time. I am still int the process of listing all the ways to make this behavior go away.
Hi all. I've just got a macbook pro and I'm slowly working my way through learning the apps. My biggest frustration at the moment is email. The native mail client seems clunky and inefficient as far as navigating goes and don't even get me started on trying to access single mail accounts. haha. I'm wondering therefore now that Microsoft 365 is more accessible, is it worth switching to outlook for mac? I moved away from this on windows because I really like message threading and it's pitiful. So, is threading with outlook on the mac any better?
TASK: Create new message and add names from contacts to the To and BCC fields
SYSTEM: Mac OS X Yosemite with latest version of Apple mail
PREVIOUS STEPS: In older versions of Apple mail, there was an βaddressβ button that could be found in the toolbar of a new message. VO Spacebar on that button would open a dialogue box where VoiceOver could navigate a table of names. One could select multiple names with shift and arrow keys and then use VO keys to activate the to, cc, or bcc button. Once the names were selected, closing the dialogue box would return focus to the message.
Hi all,
I've had a problem for a while where I can't seem to attach files to an email from within the compose message field. I usually attach from within the toolbar by opening the browse dialog and pressing CTRL + Option + Space to attach. Return and space do not work. However, Ctrl + Option + Space just seems to close the dialog without attaching the file.
If I want to be sure of attaching something, I have to share it from Finder. This means I can't reply with attachments, which destroys thread continuity.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Hello good people. I was hoping someone could tell me how to shuffle an entire artist in Apple Music. It's easy on the iPhone, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out on my Mac. Also, is it the same on a Windows machine? Thanks.
Hi everyone,
so far, Apple music is running great on IOS. However, I'm having issues with it on the Mac. For instance, I can't figure out how to add a track for offline listening or if this is even possible on apple music for the Mac. surely, Apple wouldn't just make this functionality IOs only but I somehow wouldn't be surprised if they did. Has anyone figured out how to make tracks available off line on the Mac?
Using Apple music on my Mac the screen is devided with a side bar on the left. Can I get back to a full screen or is it like this now? I tried the full screen command.
Hi guys,
So I'm using my 3 month free trial of Apple Music and just downloaded an album from it, by making it available offline and downloading the tracks onto my Mac. When I went to sync them to my iPod Nano, which is what I keep most of my music on rather than my iPhone, it came up that songs from Apple Music can't be synced to an iPod.
