Hi, I'm still finding the whole web browsing experience on Mac using Safari frustrating, what with focus jumping around, Voiceover getting stuck and other problems when compared to JAWS and Windows.
however my particular question for today is regarding making Voiceover less verbose when navigating web pages using Safari on Mac.
Is there a way to stop it reading out extra information, specifically things like it telling me about the start and end of banners, articles and other elements of the webpage structure that slow me down as I don't need to know that info.
I've recently upgraded my Mac to MacOS Catalina and have downloaded the 64 bit version of the RS Games client. Everything's working fine apart from the voice chat feature. For some reason, the RS Games app does not bring up the prompt asking for microphone access, therefore MacOS automatically denies it, meaning other players cannot hear me.

Hey guys, so I'm meant to have a zoom call in a few days that will be recorded. I don't want to have voiceover heard in the call. I'd like to not edit the recording. Is there any way I can use voiceover without it being heard through zoom?

I'm curious to know if this is something I may have done by mistake, or if this is a change across the board.
I use Safari on Mac OS, and will usually use google as my search engine of choice.
I've noticed that there's a change in the results when they pop up. Like before you'd hear voiceover read heading level 3, and then the name of the heading or that result. nOw it reads the name, the URL, and then the heading and afterwards visited if you've been their before.

I've been tinkering in the newest version of Garage Band, GB version 6.5 and Amadeus Pro trying to get a vocoder to work but so far I'm failing completely in every one of these apps.
I have three different vocoder plugins so far, two are VST and one is AU. In most cases I can find the plugin, put the vocals on the left and the synth on the right but I can't figure out how to actually use the plugin to put them together to get anything to work.
I went to login to skype today, and it kicked me out. Technically speaking, it kicked me out on mobile as well, but I was able to login on there just fine. Not so much on the mac app. It keeps claiming that my details are invalid when they clearly are. Has anyone else experienced this today?
Hi everyone. On Wednesday of last week my tutor and I submitted a Peapod order using their website, which I'm pretty sure is the only way of submitting an order. In order to speed up the process a bit, I submitted some items using my Windows-based desktop PC and he was on my Mac doing the same thing. I had turned Voiceover off since he is fully sighted. This after I tried to submit the entire order with Voiceover on, but we weren't having much luck. So I'm wondering if any of you have used this site with Vo, and if yes how was your experience?

The main app for bitwarden is accessible and works fairly well. I am having issues with the safari extension though. When I update or create a new password I cannot find where to add it to bitwarden. Apples keychain notification comes up but I just cannot seem to find the one for bitwarden. Does anyone who uses it have any suggestions on how to use it with safari?

Is anyone having trouble when you go to contact a company through safari?
Like it asks to email us, or gives you an email link. So you click on it, and nothing happens.
I'm not sure if this is a mail issue, or Safari. It's just strange, and does make things a bit difficult.
Like you get the contact us by email
and then below that is a
link contact at such and such dot such and such.
I've tried opening mail before I click on it, and I've tried a few different keystrokes.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone; I copied some folders to an external drive and later sadly discovered many of the files in the folders were damaged, probably about 30%. Is there a program that I can use to compare folders quickly to identify which files are damaged. To do this one by one would be very slow and I am keen to keep as many files as possible. It would be good if the program could give the names of the damaged files for ease of identification. Thanks

Very interesting situation.
in past versions of Amadeus Pro you could filter file types in the batch converter so if you wanted to only convert flac files you could put .flac in the appropriate box after ticking.
In the latest version however, they have changed this, the box is still there but you can no longer filter by file type using this method.
The developer himself has stated, and extension is now considered part of the file name.
I asked him to clarify what he meant but never heard back.
Since Apple released OS X El Capitan Soundflower hasn't worked with it for some reason, so I uninstalled it because I didn't use it that much. I need to use it for something now though so does anyone know how to get it to work? There is a version which apparently works but when I installed it and restarted my computer, it wasn't there under inputs or outputs.
I am going to be using Pages on my Mac, but then might need to open these files on a windows computer using Word. These will be created on Pages then modified on word, or the other way round. If I create a file on Pages on the Mac, how can I then save it as a word file?
I looked around on Google and it says go to the export menu and click word, save it as a different title then click export. I did this, but it still reads both files out as a Pages publication.
For example, I created a file called Test, and saved a pages version and exported it as a word document in a different location.
I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. He recently set up a radio station using Radionomy, which is a service that allows you to set up a radio station with 24/7 automation, live broadcasting and all royalties covered. The catch, if you like, is that you have to play 4 minutes worth of ads per hour, but this didn't matter too much to him. Radionomy was great because it allowed us to run the station without having to worry about royalties, and we didn't need a system streaming to the server 24/7, as the automation is handled remotely.
