Hey folks,
This one is for more power users. I am pretty decent on the mac, but have never messed with Apple script, and don't want to mess anything up. However, there are a few things I would like to accomplish.
1. Using the keyboard commander, option + t makes voiceover read the time. This is a nice keyboard shortcut, but the problem is it reads the date too, which makes it rather long. All I want is the time, plus am or pm. Simple and quick. But I don't know how to appropriately modify the existing script.

Hello there. Can someone please help me out of this current mess i've managed to get myself in during my attempts to familiarise myself with some keyboard commands? I've somehow managed to toggle voiceover mute on, via the voiceover menu, then far too quickly, here i am back out of voiceover help before i got voiceover talking again. So, i'm without any speech on the mac, only the clicking sounds that are there as keys are pressed. How do i get the thing speaking again without being able to see the screen? Thanks. Help much appreciated.

Hi guys, from few days I'm using MacBook Pro but I have accessibility issue with MS office 365 in word application. When I was typing on word by Microsoft then I wasn't here characters and words off voice over . If any key strokes and script is available kindly share with me kindly suggest Me how to solve this issue on MS word 365 with voice over on Mac.

Hello everyone,I am trying to use Onenote for the Mac as I am in college but cannot figure out how to use it on the Mac. Would anyone be able to help me? I don't know how to create a notebook, because everytime I create a notebook, it says note title container and note contence container, and it looks like there is a bunch of text feilds when voice over is reading. Also, how do you audio record in it, and does the Mac and voice over work with the sinking of recording?

I'm doing a course and have to create and deliver a presentation this Friday. While I do have a Windows laptop from work that I can fall back on, I was hoping to use my own MacBook for this, as I have been doing for note-taking etc on the course.
However I am encountering major issues with VoiceOver when trying to use both PowerPoint and Keynote on the Mac.
In PowerPoint, I can't even seem to create a slide. I can select a new slide ok, but when I try to edit the content of the text boxes, nothing happens. It just won't seem to enter any text for me.

I just got windows 7 running in fusion on my mac. I have found lots of posts on here about different ways to map keys. I tried sharp keys but my windows is 64 bit and when I tried installing it it gave me an error. I also tried doing it from in fusion but the keys I wanted to use were not in the list of 13 keys. I also read something about carabiner but not sure if it works on windows 7 and just wanted to get some help/ideas on what program to use and how to use the program that is suggested.

Hi all, I'll try and keep this brief, but it's got me stumped as to what is happening here...

I got a new M4 Mac Mini and went through the setup process with Daniel as the default voice as I'm in the UK.

These are the issues I was encountering with Voiceover on, which I've never experienced before on any of my previous Macs.

Quick Nav wouldn't allow me to use up and down arrows to select items, but I later found out by experimenting that by holding down Command and using the up and down arrows, it would work as expected.

I would need a step by step for this task, transferring a song from the mac to the music app on the iphone.
When I'm on the song, I press shift + command + control + option + space bar, and it says mouse pressed.
From this moment on, how exactly do you proceed? I already know how to find the iphone in the finder, and it is assumed that after I have correctly told it to move the song, there will be a way to paste it on the iPhone.

Can someone help me, please?
I have version 10.15.5 of the operating system.

I recently got a new MacBook Pro with touch bar. I just downloaded VMWare Fusion 10. I am having a difficult time figuring out how to get the internet to work on the VM Ware side of my computer. I am running Windows 10 and Jaws 17. I somehow still have it set up so that when someone sighted tried to help me the Doc Bar was coming up and there are 2 mice. One is bigger than the other. I am not sure how to fix these issues.

If anyone is able to assist I would greatly appreciate it.

I am having a major issue with my daughters MacBook Air (OS X Yosemite)

Once she opens a document (regardless if it is in texteditor or word) and scrolls down using arrows, VO still reads what was written. However the moment she starts to edit the document, VO stops and I cant get it working again.

I recently started my courses again and these involve a lot of PDFs. I have noticed a problem that has sometimes happened in the past, but I have not had anything like the extent of this issue in prior semesters.

I usually look at PDFs in Preview, but now when I load a document it often says "Document empty group". So you can't tell whether something is text or an image; it just isn't there, even after reloading.

Has anyone else noticed this recently, and/or is there a workaround?

No matter what I do, on my desktop in a folder called libation, I can't get the sort order to stick. Libation, for those who don't know, is an app that grabs one’s Audible books, strips DRM, and sorts them. I've set them to have a creation date of when I purchased them so that, in theory, when I open the libation folder in iCloud on my desktop, my latest purchase is at the top, my oldest purchase is at the bottom... This is the theory, anyway.

Each time I back out and then go back in, it reverts to sorting by name.

Last night this worked fine and now i just went to use it and it's not working. My mac and phone are both on the latest os, both are are on the same network. Also bluetooth is on on both and so is handoff. Back to my mac is also on and both devices are on the same apple id. I have tried restarting both. Help please.

I would like to know what VO Command backslash, VO delete, and VO shift j do. I haven't found a place in the Mac operating system where these are used. If someone could tell me exactly what these do and provide examples of places where these are actually useful, I'd appreciate it. I'm still learning about little commands and features of VoiceOver even though I've been using a Mac for more than three years now.
