I am aware that Samsung televisions are completely accessible. In fact, I have one of these. However, my parents are considering purchasing an LG television because of the good price. Could you please let me know what type of accessibility experience I might expect. Thank you so much for any help.

I have six sound files that are my own original content. I imported them from iTunes on the Mac to my phone and they are in my music library. I have my Amazon echoes set up with Apple Music as my default player. my playlists from the content that I stream on Apple Music on my phone sync fine, But my original content will not sync. The playlist with my original content plays fine on my phone, but every time I try to play it on any of my echoes, Alexa acts like she's going to play it, but then she gives me an error message saying sorry, something went wrong.

I am looking for an accessible device for measuring the humidity in my house. If anyone has a recommendation for such a device that can measure indoor humidity relatively accurately whose readings I can check on my iPhone that would be great. I like to keep the humidity in my house between 30 and 40 percent to keep my piano happy in this dry state of Colorado.

thanks for any recommendations.

Hi. I want to get a thermostat I can control with my iOS device. I want to be able to switch between heat, AC, fan, or just shut the whole system off. I also need to be able to adjust the temperature. Being able to program different temperatures for different times of the day would be nice, but not a requirement. I am wondering which thermostats have accessible apps. I do not want to go buy a thermostat just because the box says it can be controlled by iOS devices only to get it home and have it installed just to find out that the app for it is not accessible.

Good afternoon. I am planning to buy a new microwave oven soon. Since most microwave ovens have touch panels, I was wondering if there are any microwave ovens on the market that can be controlled by an IPhone? Thanks in advance for your input, and have a good day.

I need suggestions on which "smart thermostats" to consider. Any recommendations?

Hello all
My wife and I recently purchased a home and are able to get a $100 rebate deal on a wifi/smart thermostat from Nest, Ecobee or honeywell. We would like to purchase as soon as possible as current thermostat is 14 years old.
In looking at the many models, am still quite confused on what to purchase.

I’m considering a smart ring, but wanted to see if VoiceOver users have tried either of these?

Oura Ring: the most accurate sleep and activity tracker:

Motiv Ring | 24/7 Smart Ring | Fitness + Sleep Tracking:

If you have a smart ring, it’d be great to learn about your experience as a person who is blind.
Thanks!

Not sure if this is the best forum for this, but I picked up a pretty cool piece of gear and wanted to let folks know about it as many may be interested, and offer a bit of a review. It isn't a smart home device, but it could be classified under gadgets, so there ya go. I have, for several years now, been using an Allen & Heath XB-14-2 broadcast console for my online radio station.

I'm not sure if this is something with an app update or something with my device itself but my qardio arm will not pump up. This just happened with the past couple of app updates. The motor turns on but does not fill the cuff all the way up with air. I've been placing the device like I always have as instructed. Sometimes I can play with the cuff to get it to work. Tonight I was needing to take my bp and it would only pump up if I put it on my rist. I've replaced the batteries to see if that would work but no luck.

Hi, i'm wondering can people give me recommendations please for accessible smart plugs, in other words you plug one into an outlet and plug another device into it, then you can use an app to schedule timers for example for things to switch on and off.

A question for those using the euphy doorbell.
How do you check the batery status of the euphy doorbell within the euphy security app with voiceover?

I have three Google speakers. About a week ago, I realized that the radio stations that I would stream would play for about half an hour and then stop for no reason. It happens on both stations that I usually listen to. has anyone else had this problem? Does it mean my speakers are wearing out?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering jumping on the Instant Pot bandwagon and am debating between the IP60 Duo and the smart IP60 with bluetooth connectivity. I like the idea of the bluetooth, but I have a couple concerns about the app.

App Store ratings are extremely low. Users say it fails to stay paired and is otherwise unstable. It also hasn't been updated in over a year. So I'm wondering if any of you have had similar issues, and whether you see the app being able to stay current over time.

Thanks for your help.

I'm thinking of getting a blink doorbell, how accessible is the app?

Also is it easy to set up to use with alexa?

I'm going to want to use the doorbell without wiring it because I've never had any doorbell and I don't have anybody who would know how to wire one for me so if anybody has any comments regarding this I'd certainly appreciate hearing them.

If someone comes to the door and I want to know who it is before I open the door how would I do this? Both using the app and alexa please.
