Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories

Hi all. I'm considering an apple watch finally. The only difference I see is the SE doesn't have blood oxygen or something like that. besides that, I'd go cellular because I honestly don't see the point of having a watch on wifi. I don't have a fabulous connection at my home, thanks to the rich morons who don't want an "eyesore" tower but are fine being snobbish bastards. As for watch apps, I don't stream much although I have an unlimitted data plan so that might help.

I lied. Okay, not exactly, but my very first smartwatch was a ZTE Quartz which I briefly paired with my old OnePlus 5t. It was so slow, so unresponsive, so unusable that I returned it the very same day. Now, more Android smartwatches are shipping with the requisite gig of RAM they so desperately needed, better chips, and a more competent software suite. However, the experience put me off of full-featured smartwatches so much that I trudged along with my trusty Xiaomi Mi Band 3 for the next 2 years, right up until I couldn’t use the inaccessible companion app anymore.

I currently have an Apple Watch series 3. I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading to the new series Apple Watch 5? It seems like there were a couple good upgrades from series 3 to 4. With series 5 the big story is the always on watch display. There were some other minor enhancements. Just wondering if I should just hang on to my series 3 or get the new series 5 Apple Watch.

I'm planning on buying my first iPhone and Apple Watch as soon as the iPhone 12 drops. So far, the Series 6 hasn't given me any reason to buy it over the SE. For those who formerly owned a series 4 or 5 and upgraded to the Series 6, were there any noticeable improvements in the performance of Voiceover? Were there any substantial gains in battery life? Does the faster charging make any difference in the way you use your Apple Watch?

Hi,
TO go along with a possible iPhone I'm looking at watches.
Watch is a fair bit cheaper - is the extra of the 9 worth it? It has the cool features like double tap, another year of updates since I'll be keeping the watch for as long as possible, but still.
I could also just get the SE, how worth it is the stuff the more flagship ones offer anyway? I think it offers more sleep tracking ability, some other sensors etc?

Curious on any thoughts from blind voiceover users specifically.

thank you

Hi, as As the watch gets more features and developes, I wonder how I could apply it to the daily life. So far I can't see how it fits in, but what do you all use yours for?

I am considering trading in my Apple Watch six for the new Apple Watch Ultra. I swim quite a bit and keep my watch on. VoiceOver quality is not good after my watch gets wet. Wondering if anyone has the new Apple Watch ultra and if the three speakers Help with voiceover quality when the watch is wet.

My wife recently bought an Apple Watch Series 3. She also bought one of those third party magnetic straps.

My question: I have a wireless charging pad. Can she safely charge her Apple Watch on my charging pad? I was worried about inductive heating of the metal strap from the charging pad. I usually use the charging pad for my iPhone and Airpods, but it would be nice if she could use it also.

Hi. A couple of days ago I had purchased an Apple Wireless Keyboard. The keyboard works fine with all devices but there is one major problem. The escape key will not let me exit apps or the main settings menu. For the price I had paid for this keyboard! I would of thought this functionality came as standard. I use to have a Macro Mini Bluetooth keyboard and that allowed me to exit apps and the main menu. Can anyone else replicate this problem?

Hi all. Since I use my Airpods second generation mostly on my Mac, I'm having a problem. It's intermitent, but let me try to explain. Sometimes, after I wake the computer, i will hear absolutely no sound except voice over's clicks when navigating through a web page or in my inbox. At other times, as in a few minutes ago, only one Airpod played while the other one though in my ear did nothing. This doesn't happen all the time, and as I said, though connected to my phone I haven't seen this happen yet.

hi all,at present i have airpods, which while are great, are medioka i feel, in sound. do others use noise canceling earbuds when out, like the soner wf-1000 xm3 that have just been released, or, overears, like dj’s use, i guess, the bose qc35 ii or the ones i considering, the sony wh-x1000 xm3? are these safe to use, or, are earbuds better? i don’t travel on planes regularly, i am not a businessmen, so are the over-ear ones vs earbuds, too gimmicky? i just go walks, takethe train, bus, and round the house.

So in the near future I will be getting hearing aids, as my hearing has started to deteriorate. The place where I am getting them from either has hearing aids from Oticon and Signia, and non-MfI hearing aids from Phonak that work with accessories called the Roger Partner Mic.
Is there any actual benefit to getting the Phonak as accessibility is concerned, and what would you say the minst useful features and best sound quality among these options are? Thanks for the input!

Hi all,
Is there any way I can back up my I-Pad on an external drive? My I-Cloud is full and I would rather not pay extra to apple for storage if I can help it.
One way I know is to back up on mac and transfer the back up to external drive. Is there another way, though?
Any assistance in this matter will be highly appreciated.
Warmest regards,
Vivek

Hi Mac mini Owners!

How accessible are those WiFi hard drives you can use with your iOS device? I've seen some pretty good deals on some on Amazon and mainstream reviews make them sound pretty good, but as we all know they don't account for accessibility with VO.

hi all would it be good to sit in the cinima and use your own Iphone or iPad to have the movie Audio discribed for you simply pointing your iPhone or iPad to the screen using head Phones. I think apple is a smart company and should be able to work out out what the Devices are made out of that you use in the cinimas and imp ort the hardware into there products or have a app that we could launch that will audio Discribe the movies for us. if anyone think this is a great idea thats good.

I am just getting started with audio recording and editing. I was wondering if there is any forums or other resources to get help or exchange information?

I have a Macbook Pro, a Focusrite Scarlett 2 I 2 pre amp, an AT 2020 condenser XLR mic. I use Amadeus Pro for the DAWS.

Any suggestions for resources? I have posted a couple times on Applevis. There seems to be some very knowledgeable people on these forums. Any help or someone to exchange information would be appreciated.

Thanks.
