I mainly use Scrivener for my writing projects, and I believe the app has features that i have yet to implement. Accessible tutorial would be great! So please if you know where to find one or if you feel you have extensive knowledge in the app please do submit a tutorial, that would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone,
Wanted to take the plunge, am up for the challenge to see where it takes me.
Normally, I'm a plunger, but I've thought about planning this one. Has anybody here used Contour? How helpful is it for novelists as far as outlining? I've bought Scrivener ages ago, all I need to do is re-download it to my Mac. How do I use the Outliner in it? The Corkboard is where all of your files are, but the app description says there's an Outliner. How does that work?
If I can't figure out an app over the weekend, there's always plunging. :)

Hi,
So i have had this problem for a wile. I am trying to use a SD card on my mac, but when i insert it, it will not come up in the finder, so when i go to take it out, it says that it wasn't ejected properly. This is becoming really annoying really fast.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Jeff

Hello, So I am incountering and issue where any sd card I insert in my mac does not let me copy files to it or re format it. So, for starters it will never remember that I have it set as list view table in the finder, and always reverts to the collection view, wich I really dislike. Also, I cannot put files on any of my cards anymore, wich are a 4 gb card, 32 gb card, a 2 gb card, and a 128 gb card which I am very prowd of. When I try to erase with disk utility or perform firstaid, the disk will eject itself and will not work with disk utility.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but trying to search for a help item in the Help menu of Mac applications depends on how lucky I am at the time. I haven't found what is the exact procedure that I should follow when I want to look for help. I would like to be able to open the Help menu item, enter a search term, then to select a specific topic, and read the information. Unfortunately, it always take to fight with VO. Is it just me, or does VO have problems with doing this?

It's very jumpy. I'm not sure if it's a voice issue or ChatGPT issue. Interestingly, it's not as bad on TurnOver, but talk back on android using the official app is best. Anyone know how to make my experience slightly better

Hi guys,

I about a week ago bought Speech Central for the Mac to try to get better PDF-Support with VO. For general reading of Articles it is pretty cool. Since I have to work with long documents such as guidelines and entire laws I was hoping I could search for a specific string of text and be navigated there.

I tried with a sighted person pressing the command key plus f, which opens a search field. Searching highlights the passage of text in the document. But there is no way to jump to that section with VO or start playback from that specific point in the document.

Hi,
I'm still searching for an accessible Amazon Alexa Client for macOS. I found something in the App Store but I don't know whether these apps are accessible.
For example, I found:
* Speak for amazon alexa
* ASK Pro for Amazon Alexa
Maybe anyone of you knows whether the apps are accessible. Many thanks...

Hello everyone,

Has anyone encountered any success searching for brf files in the spotlight finder? Is the brf file type supported? I am running yosemite. While I do not need to make my own brf files, I would very much like to be able to search for them, put them in smart folders, etc. If anyone can provide any help in this area, I would greatly appreciate it.

Besides using just the Search Text box of Finder to look for files in a Mac, supposedly you can fine tune your search activating and combining several search criteria that is available in the search tool of Finder. The problem is that I haven't found how to use those tools using Voiceover. There is a toggle button named Hide Criteria next to the save button of the search tool, but no matter if it is selected or not, nothing new is detected by Voiceover.

Am I the only person with this issue? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello Applevis community,
I have recently made the switch from a Windows computer to a Mac and I am searching for a reliable and accurate OCR program that I can use. Is there anyone that can recommend apps, other than Prizmo, that you have tried and that are compatible with voiceover. Has anyone tried the Abbyy Finereader OCR Pro on the Mac app store? Any feedback is appreciated, Thanks.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to read a PDF document on the Β mac with Voiceover, and when doing so, be able to find a particular piece of text in that file and use some kind of find function to jump straight to that piece of text rather than reading through the whole file. This is a function which, if it can be performed on the mac is really useful for reading large files and you want to search for a string of text you know is there. Thank you in advance.

Does Apple have something like the find feature in Windows? I think I read about it somewhere but can't remember where.

Hi everyone.

I just have a couple of quick questions about using Yorufukurou.

First, how can you search for hash tags. I understand that you can search if a hash tag is in a tweet with the shortcut key "G". Can you search for a tag that is not in a tweet in your timeline?

Secondly, is there a way of viewing what is trending in a particular location?

Hope somebody can help with this.

Love this forum. Thanks.

Hi all.

Every time I think I have this figured out, I can't find anything. I have a file that contains ring or maybe RING, upper or lower case, or maybe mixed for all I know. It's an mp3 file. I pick a volume I've aliased on a network drive. I hit shift-cmd-c and arrow to that volume. Then I hit cmd-f, type in ring*.mp3, hit VO-down and pick "name contains", then stop interacting with that menu, go to the right, and pick the radio button to search only the highlighted volume.

It finds nothing. How do you search for files/folders in finder?

Hi All,
I am at a total loss as to how to search in the new Mac OS Music App. There is, as best I can tell, no search box on the screen anymore; and I don't see anything in the menus, either. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there! πŸ‘‹β€¨I have a question about the Numbers app on Mac: is it possible to search for a specific cell address in this app? For example, I’d like to jump directly to cell F195. Is that possible?
Thanks in advance for your answers πŸ˜β€¨Sending you warm greetings 🌞

Hi,

I'm looking for a music player like Foobar2000 for mac, which allows me to manage a library on my Nas. I don't want to use the music app, because it's special songs, which I don't want to sync with iCloud.

Thanks in advance,

Mathieu
