Hi, I have recently updated to the latest version of Mac OS and have noticed that you can no longer empty the trash securely. I have looked around in preferences and cannot seem to find this function.
Does anyone know where to find it and how to turn this function on?

I was trying to update from mac OS 10.13.6 to mac OS 10.14. I got pass the agreement thing that they showed me. I even clicked on installed. After that, I sort of get stuck. This is for one simple reason. At this stage, VoiceOver tells me that security agent has no windows. Thinking about maybe turning off apple script for VO, I went into the VO settings and unchecked the correct check box, but I run into the same problem. Now when I command- tab away and back to the same window, I get the busy message. Is there anything I need to check into to saulve this? What am I missing?

Hi everyone. I probably should've asked this before, but read on. I have had a problem accessing some or all of my Mac's security settings. When I click on Security and Privacy in System Preferences, I'm presented with 4 tabs. This is all well and good, but when I input my password the password field keeps popping up. This morning I called AppleCare for help resetting my Apple ID password, but even the new password won't work in these settings. I tried my email password with no success either. I can't even turn on or Off File Vault.

Hi all, I have File Vault enabled on my MacBook Pro. When I startup my computer the voice comes on loudly with a security window. It won't work through the headphones and I have to type in my username and password very slowly. It's a bit of a problem in the office/library. I like to keep File Vault enabled, because I use my computer in public places all the time. Are there settings I can adjust for this startup security window? If so, how do I access the preferences and change them? Thanks. Kate

Hello everyone. I am looking to put a vpn app on my two Macs that I can also use on my iOS devices. AdGuard VPN, the one that I have used on my iPhone for many years, is completely inaccessible on Mac. I am looking at Nord but any other vpn recommendation is appreciated. Nord appeals to me because of what I want out of a vpn but I don't want to renew my subscription only to have it not work. I have a 2019 MacBook Air and I am considering buying a MacBook Air M3, but I have a problem. At work, I use Windows. Currently, with my 2019 MacBook Air, I use Windows 10 with Boot Camp, but the new Mac models cannot install Windows via Boot Camp, and I don't want to buy a Windows laptop because I use it infrequently.
