Hi All

I'm looking for VO techniques for apps or screens that don't read well, perhaps a good web resource I can go to for advanced VO techniques for difficult apps?
I'm an experienced iPhone and Windows user but new to the Mac.

Thanks in Advance

I’ve became quite productive with email in mail.o365 (web Office 365).

However, I find the Calendar UI to lack keyboard shortcuts, ARIA, and accessibility.

What’s the tip or trick to using Calendar in Office 365 Web UI? With MacOS and iOS VoiceOver?

Thanks!

Hi All,
If you use Sibelius Ultimate with VoiceOver, please respond. I'm hoping to connect with other blind Sibelius users, to find resources regarding learning Sibelius accessibility, and hopefully to find one or more users who would be willing to provide me with tutoring. I would of course be happy to compensate you for your time if you end up teaching me.

I have been a PC user for many years. People have ttold me that the Mac is better and eiseasy to use. I have an iPhone and that works well for me. I just brought the mac book pro with the new bar for function keys. I have found that the genious bar in most of the apple stores do not know how to teach accessability. It is not easy to learn on your own. Where and how can you find a class that will give instructions on how to use the Mac? Wish a webinar class could be set up for this reason. Right now I am frustrated. I have both ios and windows on my Mac.

Hi. I'm writing on behalf of someone who is just beginning to use VoiceOver on a Mac Mini running Mountain Lion. They have found David Woodbridge's tutorials really helpful but, when following his instructions for selecting and de-selecting files (they're trying to select individual files while selecting more than one at a time ... for example, the first/third/fifth in a list), it doesn't seem to be working for them.

Hi Everyone,
I am running Yosemite. In text edit, how do I select text from the cursor to the end of the document? I tried shift command down arrow, but it seemed to only select to the bottom of the page. I stopped interacting with the text, went into the formatter to choose 2.0 spacing, and went back into the document. It took me to the top of the file. Is there something else I should be doing?
Also, how do I check the formatting to say if it is double-spaced? I tried VO-t, but it only says bold, font type and size, ETC, but not line number and spacing.

Good Morning, I am a new comer to the Mac; I have been a happy iPhone user now for about eight months. I come from a Windows/UN*X history that goes back a lot of years. Thus far I am having fun on the Mac. This morning I decided to set up email. I have a number of email accounts for a variety of purposes. I had little trouble setting up accounts, and I can find the preferences for each account with no difficulty. Where I am getting stuck is switching between accounts. Right now I have my Gmail and my me.com account configured. Gmail is coming up by default.

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to select an entire table in Preview on Mac. It seems impossible to me.
Thank you in advance,

Hi,
Just as the subject suggests, has anyone found out how to do this. I can interact with the grid, and bring up the 'action group' but can't seem to find out how to select/highlight a particular album. V grateful for any advice.

Hello all,

I am using Mac OS Mojave on a MacBook Pro. I have just installed Dropbox but given the amount of disc space, I don't want to sync all my folders. However, when I go into preferences and try to edit which folders I would like to keep, it shows the browser with the list of folders but there are no visible checkboxes to click on, meaning that I seemingly can't manually deselect them. Does anyone know of a workaround or a way to bypass this issue?
Any help Ould be hugely appreciated.

Hi all, does anyone know how to select/highlight midi regions or notes in a song on "Garage Band" and or "Logic Pro X"? I want to be able to grab parts of the song to be copied and pasted somewhere else. I already know that you have to press command X, command C, or command V; to cut, copy or paste, but I don’t know how to highlight the notes. Please advise.

Hi,
I can't seem to figure out how to select multiple contacts in the apps where you can add contacts from your contact list. I'm trying to add multiple contacts to bitlife on my m1 mac, upwards of 700 contacts to be specific, but another example of where I can't select multiple contacts is when adding contacts to a text message. Is there a way to select multiple contacts on the mac to add to something, in my case, custom people in bitlife? I can add multiple contacts to bitlife on iOS, but I can't seem to be able to do this on mac.

Hi all.

I have a NAS. I connect to it with cmd-k, no problem. It brings up a table and tells me to select what volume(s) I want to mount. So I have albums, courses, and so on. If I interact with that table, what I'd expect is that hitting VO-space selects a
volume. However, if I hit VO-space on albums, then Vo-right to courses, leave the interaction and hit OK, courses is the only thing that gets mounted.

Hello, can someone tell me what keys you use to select text on a Mac that isn't in a text field? E.g. text on a webpage? Thanks.

Hello friends,
Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere. I have yet to be able to find a way to select text inside a pdf to copy elsewhere, like a note. I don't want to copy or import the whole pdf in to a note, as it's a lengthy file, and I don't need the whole thing, just certain portions. I have a study guide for a Bible study my church is doing. I would like to be able to select the questions assigned to us weekly in the study guide, copy those in to a note or text document, then be able to write my answers in after each question.

Has anyone figured out any work arounds to select text in Pages on a Mac, where the selection crosses into another page? I am on the latest release of both 10.9 and Pages. For those not sure what I am referring to, let's say you created a document, and on each line you simply place either a letter or number. Say you start at A go to Z then start with numbers. Around 23 you will start on page two. If you started to select text at 20 and wanted to stop at 29, coursing over the page boundary, you only copy number 23-29.

Can anyone describe how to efficiently select text in Terminal? This feels like a fairly basic thing, but so far my solution is to interact with the shell then use VO+Up and Down, then VO+Shift+C to copy last phrase to the clipboard. Which works up to a point but is a pain if there are multiple lines.

I'm sure there's an easier way??
