Mac

Hi everyone. So I had a question and this seemed like the likeliest place on this site to ask it. I know several years ago someone was nice enough to post a walk-through of how to install Windows 7 without sighted assistance using Bootcamp. Can anyone post another one on installing Windows 10 on a newer Mac? I have a 2015 13-in MacBook Pro and a Windows 10 iso. Not sure how to go about the install once the support software's downloaded. Thanks so much.

Hello everyone,
I'm to the point where I need to get windows on my mac and thinking of going the bootcamp rout. Given I am completely new at this, I was wondering if anyone would be able to provide step by step instructions as to how this can be done from installing windows, and providing keystrokes to access bootcamp upon log in if I want to log into windows? Ideally, I want to run windows seven, but I've been told that apple will stop supporting it so will put up with windows 8.1 if need be.
Thanks

Hello all, Does anyone use or know someone who uses the Bible program Eloquent? I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I have been unsuccessful with installing it on my MBP. Perhaps there is a kind soul on the list who would look at the program for me? You can find it on Crosswire.com, or just Google Eloquent Bible Program for the Mac. Thanks, John

Hello all,

Being a rather newbie to the Mac OS and after finding a few posts, from a few years ago on this matter, I thought I would ask this question again.

Does anyone have recommendations of apps that are "must have" on a Mac? I've already downloaded Skype and other apps that I wanted, but I am always looking for apps to download, whether it be games or productivity apps, to add to my Mac.

Can anybody recommend a powerful and completely accessible file finder application for the Mac?

At the very least it must allow me to search a folder and any subfolders for files containing a string of words; some of those words; or the exact phrase. Wildcard support is also essential.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Hi,
I'm seeking a music app for mac that doesn't take so stupidly long to load. Music and vlc take FOREVER! I have over 100000 items in my library. I'd also like to be able to creat playlists, and add to those playlists when it becomes necessary. Is there a good app like this? I'm using ventura on a 2023 mac mini.
Thanks

hi all, Can anyone recommend a reliable and accessible PDF and ePub files reader for Mac that includes the feature of remembering the last read page? I'm an avid reader, and I'm specifically looking for a reader that allows me to pick up from where I left off, for example, if I read 50 pages today, I want the application to start from page 51 when I open the book again tomorrow. I've found the native Preview app lacking in this aspect and would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello again,
now, that I must work at home, I need to read a lot of pdf files created by scanning documents. Unfortunately, with my Mac I cannot do it, because it says always ando only "image, image, image", so do you know if Apple has invented something to read them?, otherwise, I think that it would be an important thing to say to Apple Accessibility, and do you know any program or any way to read them and if it would be possibile, to convert them in a text file?.
Many thanks in advance:

Hello,
For my folks who are djs, I just bought DJay pro from the Mac Appstore. I have been into mixing for a good while now, and although still at a beginner level, have finally been able to pick up the DDJ400 from pioneer to start using it with the Mac. I've used DJay on the iOS side, using just the touchscreen to mix for a few months now.

Hello Apple Vis,
I am interested in wanting to learn SAS and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for an accessible editor, or set up for SAS when it comes to Mac OS?
I'm not able to run windows. So It's going to need to be Mac OS.
Appreciate the suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Alright, so hopefully the subject will give you all an idea. I am currently using Sero's DocuScan Plus for scanning documents to my Mac, so I can then navigate and read them using VoiceOver.

I do find at times though the scan not being that easy to or make sense. I know that OCR is not perfect and results can vary on the complexity of the document being scanned.

Being that I've only used DocuScan Plus, I was curious what other OCR scanning applications others use and find pretty accurate and easy to use the application and easy to scan and read a document?
