I'm Vabax, an Italian developer and accessibility advocate, and I'd like to introduce Sonarush, a free real-time action game for Mac (and Windows) that is played entirely by ear.

There is nothing to see in Sonarush. 3D positional audio and speech replace the screen: you hear where your enemies are, where their shots come from, where the walls, bushes and landmarks of the arena stand, and you fight back. It was built from the ground up for blind and visually impaired players, and on the Mac it speaks through VoiceOver.

Has anyone got Sonoma's new enhanced screen sharing, with audio, to work, and can they confirm that this is only an Apple-Silicon-to-Apple-Silicon affair? Because if so then it looks like I have to keep using and recommending my little hack. Would be sad, though--if screen sharing with audio works, we should all have it.

"Speak Item Under the Pointer" worked in NOTES and TextEdit in Big Sur but stopped working in Sonoma. Those are Apple applications. It also stopped working in similar third party apps. It does work in Mac Mail.
When I say Worked, I mean that When Zoomed, content under my pointer was spoken, paragraph by paragraph.
When I upgraded to a Mac Studio running Sonoma, Speak Content speaks the entire page without stopping.
Friends running Sonoma have confirmed this.

I have made an app for Mac called Sonos Announcements.

With it you can send messages to all of your speakers or to individual ones.

It looks at the speakers that are connected to your wifi. No extra account is required. And everything that is sent stays local.

I'm thinking seriously about buying a MacBook Pro, but need to know if the Sonos app is accessible on the Mac
I currently use a standard laptop and Sonos is excellent in terms of ease of use for a blind user.

is there a way to use sordbuttons with voice over like in the system info app vo dösend read them and i can only see them with the drag pad nav. bud i canned click them

I am trying to figure out how to sort bookmarks with VoiceOver in Safari. From the instructions I have found, you can create folders (which works fine) and then drag them under the bookmarks bar or bookmarks menu. Likewise, you can drag bookmarks into folders.

I was going through my books and found them to be in reverse order. A was on the bottom and v was on top. Is their a way to make it so the first title can be on top?
I tried having it arrange by name and it didn't work.

I do a chart show on a radio station, which requires me to take votes from listeners for various tracks. I put this data in a table with the track artist, title and the number of votes. So far I've been doing this on windows and used the sort option so that the tracks in the table are ordered according to the number of votes for each track. But now I switched over to a mac I'm not sure how to do this in pages. Does anyone know how this could be done, or if it's not possible, what's a better alternative?

Hi guys I have a odd thing going on with my Mac Air. all of a sudden the sounds have gone, when navigating through anything there is no sound effects or anything I'm not sure if I did anything but I can't for the life of me work out how to get them back please help.

I am looking for an app called sound note .
I think it has to do with putting different sound skeemes on your mac to act as different task such as putting a usb device on your mac or something like that.
but I can't find a download link for that. could someone help me?

I developed an AppleScript to choose the sound output device in Mac easily.

Also, there is a script to reset the sound output device selection to the Macbook sound output. It is good when your sound output USB device stops playing anything in MacOS.

Hi there, I bought sound studio and I think its a lovely app but I really need some tips and suggestions on keystrokes. I read the user Guide and also tried to contact them and they did try but whatever I try doesn't work. Can some lovely kind soul please do a podcast or write a Guide on this program or at least give me some basic instructions. How do you select audio quickly and easily. Just general keystrokes because in my humble opinion this program has very little keystrokes to go by unless I just don't understand how it works.

The new update of VMware fusion, 11.5.5, seems to break the legacy ES1371 virtual audio device on Windows 10.
Audio becomes very distorted and crackling, and I can't seem to find a fix, which has forced me to use the HDaudio device, which has more latency and isn't ideal.
Does anyone know how to resolve this, or are there any news of lowering the latency in the HDaudio device?
Alternatively, has anyone had experience with using an external soundcard with Fusion? Which one have you used? I tried with a Focusrite 2I2, but it didn't work great.

Is anyone familiar with Soundcloud on mac? I found a soundcloud user with a bunch (5000 plus) tracks, that I want to browse. Voiceover seems to be rather inconsistent when navigating them. I can just see one track, even though I just clicked the thing that says "tracks 5471". Any tips on how to successfully sift through these tracks with voiceover on my mac would be welcome. I'm using safari, but if I have to, I'm open to using an alternate browser.
