Hi all. I just noticed this and whole not a deal breaker, it's strange. When you flick by any element, headings for example, the sounds for hitting the top of the page and bottom aren't there. So no sounds to say you can't go any further. i'm just about positive this wasn't there in 12.1

Do input blocks from audio sources allow for other input blocks?

Hello everyone. first off, thanks for anyone who tried to help, but i went outside of this community, because I wanted to further my experiences before I contacted South West about their mobile airline site. Here's the curious scenario. Using windows with Jaws, as demoed by a friend, as well as Internet explorer, or Safari on an iPhone/pad, things work fine. A little strange button labeling, but that's to be expected. However if you use a Mac, with safari, or windows iwth jaws as well as Firefox, the site shows as i previously described.

Hi all,
My apologies for cross-posting, but I could not find any discussion on this issue on AppleVis.
I am using my M1 MBA with EarPods pro. Has anyone been experiencing this issue, viz. that the Spatial Audio feature not working despite the fact that it is selected in Apple Music and sound preferences/volume menu from the extra menu?
Thank you and have a smashing day all!

Hi everyone,

Speaker Assistant 1.10 is now available on the App Store.

Speaker Assistant is an accessible app designed to help you prepare and deliver presentations, speeches, talks, and other spoken content. It lets you organize your material into notes and provides easy access to your text while presenting, making it especially useful for VoiceOver users.

This application is available for iOS, watchOS, macOS and visionOS.

Hi all. I'm putting this here, though this had to do with both the Mac, and phone. To put it mildly, i don't like my Macbook rpo's laptop speakers. They are fine for voice over, but listening to a book, I have to jack up the volume so when a message or other interruption comes in, I get a heart attack. :) So what are your speaker recommendations? I don't need bluetooth, at the same time, I would take advantage of it if possible. My requirements are: if it costs over 200 there'd better be a great reason. even the Bose mini bluetooth, though it was on a video, I wasn't that impressed with it.

A very special request to the developer of Speech Central app to fix the bug of bookmarking on MacOS. I am one of early adoptors of the app when it was paid then continued to like it when the developer has made it free. Now the bookmarking issue is making things worse for me and of course for others who use the app on MacOS. I have requested this from the developer earlier and have not seen any fix for this issue.
Simply put the bookmarking does not work on MacOS, I bookmark a paragraph and it does not show in the bookmarked bookmarks section of the app.

Hi all. For some time now, I've noticed that VoiceOver will sometimes pause mid-word, as if it believes there is a space or punctuation mark in the middle of the word. For example, the word communication might be mispronounced as communic, ation. I'm on current Monterey 12.5.1, and I believe this issue has existed since 12.5 but can't say for certain.

Hello,

I am the developer of the app Speech Central. The iOS version was nominated for the best accessible iOS app in 2017 on AppleVis, and macOS and iOS versions together nominated my company Labsii for the developer of the year: https://www.applevis.com/blog/closed-cast-your-votes-now-applevis-golden-apples-2017

Hello everyone!
So I am trying to find a text in my Speech Central book collection and the app seems to have the Finding feature broken. I enter very common words like Yes or This and none is found. This is not specific to a document, but all my documents seem to have the same issue.
BTW, I am running the latest MacOS with the latest version of the Speech Central app.
Much appreciate any help.

I would like first to express the gratitude to this great community for the feedback that it has provided in my initial post (https://applevis.com/forum/macos-mac-app-discussion/speech-central-text-speech-app-mac-feedback-required) regarding my app Speech Central, which is available at the Mac App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/speech-central-text-to-speech-suite/id12230

Speech Central used to be an excellent platform for reading books on MacOS, but since the recent update, it seems to have lost some of its appeal. I previously raised concerns about the removal of the book exporting feature, and the developer responded with technical explanations that were challenging to comprehend. While it was mentioned that this feature had low usage, it feels disheartening to see a useful feature removed simply because it's not widely implemented.

I reinstalled macOS and downloaded Speech Central from the App Store, the app crashes when I open it. I removed the app and redownloaded it, and nothing seems to get it to work. Any idea what to do?

I have announced few days ago the testing of the iOS app here: https://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ipados/speech-central-next-gen-testing

As Mac app is now finally approved by Apple, it is ready for the testing and is available from this link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/fE1jdPLV

Hi all,
I find the tool to convert RTF text into audio very useful, so I can take it to Victor Reader and read it when I'm not at home.

But if I may make a suggestion, I would like to be able to set a slower reading speed of 0.8, for example, when we are learning a foreign language and it is difficult to read at the normal speed of our mother tongue.

I have the MAC version of this software which looks very interesting.

Thanks for reading.

Hey guys,
I recently updated to macOS 10.13 (I know, long, long overdue, but something kept coming up getting in the way). I've got an interesting problem. The speech rotor seems to have disappeared?
When I VO+Command+Right/Left, I have Characters, Words, Window Spots, Misspelled, Lines, Sentences, Paragraphs, etc. Speech Rate, etc seems to have mysteriously disappeared. I've gone as far as attempting to reset all VO prefs (so much so that when I launch VO, that tutorial thing pops up).

Anyone know what could be going on here?
Thanks.
