I hope everyone is doing well.
I have two questions about using Safari with Mac. I've tried to search in the past but struggled to find what I'm looking for so I thought I'd ask here.
1. Can anyone remember the keyboard command for going back in Safari?
2. Whenever I've tried to use the Youtube shortcuts in Safari such as Shift+N to go to the next video VO thinks I'm trying to find a page element. It's probably a really easy thing to fix but was wondering if it's possible to turn that off just temporarily?

Since upgrading to Ventura, I've noticed two new focus issues in Safari. If someone else could confirm similar behavior, I'd appreciate it.

First issue: While using Safari, focus sometimes jumps to another app. Every time I've experienced the problem, it has jumped to Mail, but that might simply be because Mail is often the next app in my stack.

I wonder whether anyone can help with the following?

1. In the mail app, when I browse to a message showing as having an attachment, command Y doesn't bring up the quick look attachment window anymore. Has the way this feature works changed? I used to find it really handy and would be sorry not to have it available.

I'm running a writing workshop via Zoom and need to provide closed captions to make the content accessible to people whose first language is not English. I was wondering if anyone has experience manually typing transcripts in Zoom? For the most part, I'm just going to auto-generate them when I'm speaking, but auto-transcription services do not accurately represent non-native speech. Just wanted to get a feel for someone's experience before and while I play with the feature. Thanks!

Increasingly I am having problems attempting to type in edit fields. Yesterday for example, logging onto my bank, I needed to type and submit the code that was sent to me. I could not type in the field. I reactivated voice over, and I interacted with the field, nothing doing.
Any other options. thanks

I am using a Mac.
My typing speed is too slow, and my accuracy is low (both in letters and numbers).
This leads me to take lots of time to complete my work.
I want to improve my typing speed and accuracy.
Please recommend some resources for typing practice on a Mac and tips to improve keyboarding skills.

Good day. Someone at some time gave me the name of a typing tutor that worked with Voiceover. What is it? Also, has anyone tried the latest version to be sure nothing has broken? Thanks.

UIScanner explores all UI elements of the opened apps to create a HTML report.

Using the information in the HTML report you can create new AppleScript that use the user interface of an application for MacOS.

Mac Ulysses users,
Anybody else have a problem when undoing typing in Ulysses? VO loses focus on the text edit field and goes silent until I either type a character or navigate away from and back to the sheet. They say they weren't able to reproduce it. I tried reinstalling with no luck, but didn't fish around for system files other than just trashing the app package.

I've purchased Ulysses, a great writing tool for MacOS . Any users of this app for Mac out there? I've a couple of questions:
1. Is it possible to reorder items such seeds? I mean moving one above or under another, rearranging etc. I cannot find any keyboard command to do it and standards voiceover commands for dragging and dropping seem not working.
2. As anybody figured how to creat nested groups, that is, a group inside another group , and how to collapse and expand them in the library?

In the Ulysses word processing app, the Preferences > Styles panel appears to be inaccessible. The template categories (html, pdf, docx, epub) each have an "empty" scroll area and grid that, although reporting it has 3 items, seems to contain no text VO can access. Also I'm unable to open .ULStyle files from the file exchange in Text-Edit. Any of you Ulysses users encountering this or have found a work-around? I've reported it to the developers.

I decided to post in Mac, because that's where I'll primarily be working. But I know both of these apps are accessible on iOS as well, so I'd appreciate anything about that experience as well that might help me make a decision.

I hear good things about both Ulysses and Scrivener. I want to make a project that's a series of blog posts, or possibly an e-book. I know both can do that as well. My thought was to use Scrivener, but Ulysses has a lot of interesting features and I know a friend has used it for academic papers.

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to activate dictation in my computer that has macOS Catalina installed on it and when in system preferences I choose Accessibility and Voice Control and I enter my password and check the appropriate option after some seconds it's unchecked again.
Could anybody tell me why it happens again and again?

This is driving me crazy. I want to install Windows 10 on my Mac Air 2015. In the BootCamp wizard I can not select the disk to create the windows installation on. I tried many external hard disks and USB Flash Drives. I tried with various cables. External media I used were all detected in the Disk Utility and Finder. I tried with various format like FAT32 and XFAT still with no luck. Any idea how to solve this?

I received my M4 Mac Mini today and am enjoying it thus far. However, I can't configure a Personal Voice. I'm told to check my Internet connection. I tried switching from an Ethernet cable to Wi-Fi, but this didn't help. Is there a workaround, or is this a bug? I'm running 15.1 build 24B2083.

Just now , I tried to create a bootcamp partition in which to install Windows, using the Bootcamp assistant. Unfortunately, the option to adjust the partition size seems to be grayed out, even to sighted users. How do you go about creating a Bootcamp partition in this situation?
