Hi all, I have a problem to report a problem with Backup and Sync by Google on my macintosh, the sole app I use to do Google Drive stuff. I can't get it to show shared folders, and the shared folders I do see it's not showing the latest files and such. I can't find the sync options, and it won't sync. I tried everything I knew what to do, including but not limited to, trying to force close everything but Finder was in the way. Then I tried throwing it in the trash, but oh no, it was open! !!!

I love time machine, and hoep that i can use it to backup my data on all my hard drives.
But can not see an option that can allow me to backup my Other hard deskss to An external backup devices.
Is there a solution? or i should use another app?

am a music producer, and am trying to find the best solutions for momenterly backups.
AM using the Carbon copy clawner, to copy my data to an external HD each hour, but i need something offside door.
so, am thinking of using Icloud or google drive, is it a good choice? or syncing will make problems may be? i will not access these data from any other place, just this mac studio, but need to be sure that all my data are uploaded there so for any reason, i can recall them.

after all your advice, i installed windows 10 on my Macbook pro.
now, need to take a full backup for both my mac and windows, incase anything happened, i can restore the backup.
so, I think i can take the mac backup with TIme machine, but what about the windows?
and if i will restore my backup using TIme machine, will it affect windows?

So I have this trusted k480 keyboard since 7 years.
I have to use it with my windows laptop at school because hp keyboard are trash.
Some bugs I've learned to work around, overall a very good keyboard.
But today I was like instead of moving physically 10cm to the left to reach out for my mac, why not juste use the same keyboard?
I connected it to the mac, installed the old version of logi option which is surprisingly more accessible on mac than on windows to make f1-f12 act as standard function keys.

Hi, sorry if this is a forum clutter post and has already been discussed before. I'm looking for some basic audio editing tips on the Mac side, namely for merging/splitting files and making iPhone ringtones. I've played with Amadeus Pro a bit, but can't seem to figure it out, as well as garage Band. Do these programs just take a bit of time and then they make sense? Any help from the people who do awesome podcast editing would be greatly appreciated. Just one more thing I can bring over. Windk

Is there a good tag editor (other than the native music app), that works with batches of Mp3 files? For instance, I have one folder which contains 20 files by the same artist from the same album, with different titles. Is there a way to batch edit them without having to open each one? Even if I can open them all together, then edit each one, adding the appropriate info, that's fine. I'm just wondering what people use to accomplish the task of tag editing.

I am new to Mac, and I am trying to set a battery charge limit in the settings. The problem I am having is when I try to lower the slider for the charge limit, it goes down to 75 percent, 50 percent, 25 percent etc. I want to set the charge limit at 85 or 90 percent, but it makes me move by 25 percent when using the arrow keys to adjust the slider. How do I make it move in smaller incraments?

Hi all. I'm running the latest version of Mac OS, 10.12.2
I've noticed since installing the most recent update that I can no longer hear my battery level with VoiceOver. Now when I navigate to battery in the Menu Extras bar, VoiceOver just says "Battery", but no longer says the current percentage. When I open this Battery menu there is an option which says "Show battery percentage" and I have this checked, but still no battery percentage appears.
Is this a known issue or is it just me? Any fixes?

Hi. I have a little light perception and I noticed last night that my keyboard was lit up and i've noticed that the screen curtain somehow gets switched off when my mac restarts.
Are there any battery saving or things I should do to conserve battery?
I went throughapplevis for guides but didn't find much.

Hi all.
Debated about posting this in hardware but it really seems like an OS question. I just got an Apple Magic keyboard. If I go into system settings/Bluetooth, I can see the battery percentage just beyond the status that tells you it's connected.
Is there a faster way to get this info? I thought it might be in the status menu, but nope. It also doesn't appear to be in Control Center. I guess the charge is supposed to last long enough that I could just check every couple of weeks or something, but it would be nice to have faster access to it.

For anyone using Parallels, UTM, or VMWare Fusion, here is a little tip.
Do *NOT* install classic shell, open shell, or anything that messes with the UI designed for x86. Upon logging into the system, the desktop UI will not start.

I am aware of the VOCR app and use it regularly, but taking a picture with the Mac’s camera and scanning it has never worked for me. It would be great to have Be My Eyes on the Mac as well. Do developers plan to bring it to macOS, or at least adapt the iOS app for Mac? It shouldn’t be too hard, I guess. It would make our lives easier since Be My Eyes is already such a great and useful app.
