I have a question, how do you change the speech rate on the Mack? I know that you hold down fn/vo/crl to access this. I mean on the Iphone you know how there's a roder and a speech rate option? I was wondering if there's one like that. When VO is on the Mack it reads fast when reading things in sarafi. I was wondering how to fix this.

Had a little issue coming up while working on a project in garageband with VO.
I can't seem to find a way of changing the track name, only the recorded region will let me change it's name. Since the track originally get the name from the effect preset that you choose, I can e.g.

Hi,I have been, for quite a while, trying to figure out how to change the way the FN key works with OSX 10.10.2. But, no go so far. so, I have resorted to coming here for some hopeful help. Right now, If I wanna check the time in my windows VM, I have to press the FN key and the nvda key plus the F12 key. On the other side of things, if I wanna change the volume, I can just press the F11 or F12 keys by themselves. I would like to reverse this. I don't mind having to press the FN key and the volume keys.

Hi,
After coming back to Spain from Canada my Mac refused to change the time zone based on my location. I checked the date and time preferences and it is set to do so automatically. It keeps saying the nearest city is Toronto, Canada. There is a time zone selector but clicking or interacting does nothing. There is a text saying that I should click the area on the map to change the location...
Is is possible to do that with VoiceOver?

My netbook has died and I'm thinking about taking the leap into the world of Mac.
These are the functions that I want to be able to perform should I take the leap.

Hi,, wondering if anyone can help please? Before i updated my Mac book to the most up-to-date version of Mac OS the other day i had my preferred Irish Siri voice, and can't ever remember having a particularly hard time changing it. Once i had completed this most recent update i noticed Voiceover had switched back to the default daniel voice. Trouble is i'm having an awful time trying to change it back to the irish siri that i prefer (i just hate the daniel voice).

I´m looking for a way to quickly change the language of VoiceOver using a macBook Pro (Sierra version 10.12.6). By "quickly" I mean something like an rotor option as it is available in iOS or a keyboard shortcut that would not require me to change settings in the VoiceOver program every time I encounter a different web page. My native language is German, and I´m currently studying in English at a Finnish university so language changes are part of my everyday life.
Any help is very appreciated!

Hello, I tried to change the voice from Alex to Samantha on my Mac. I obviously did it wrong, because Alex is still talking except when I type. Then both Alex and Samantha echo the characters. I made the changes in spoken content under system preferences. How can I fix the mess I made?

Hi everyone. As previously mentioned I got a new Mac for Christmas. So far so good for the most part, but I've run into an issue where the Character Pallet is coming up every time I start the Mac. A sighted tutor and I are in the process of transferring things from my old Mac over here, and we're currently having a bit of trouble transferring my entire music library. We're trying to sort that one out. But what is this Character Pallet and how do I get rid of it? I'm running an M1 MacBook Air with 12.1 . Tia for anyone's assistance.

I’m running the latest version of macOS with Battery Optimization enabled, and my charge limit is set to 80%. Previously, I could use the battery status menu to select “Charge to Full Now,” which would temporarily override the limit and allow the battery to reach 100%.
However, I can no longer find this option in the menu. Is there an easy way to charge the battery to 100% without disabling Battery Optimization entirely?

I'm trying to use the Chat GPT for Mac app but I'm having problems working with the Collection area which is supposed to be showing the answers to my questions. Every time I try to interact with the content of the sections, Voiceover seems to jump to a different area. Last year someone posted in this forum to interact twice with the collection, but it is not working for me. I don't know if something changed in the app since that post was posted.

Have you ever been listening to the Music app on Mac OS and went, "Oh, I wonder what song this is?"
For me, that means command-tabbing to the Music app, getting to the LCD area, interacting and then reading the song title and artist.
Wouldn't it be great to hit one key and hear song title and artist, no matter what app you were in?

What happened to the ChatGPT "said" heading?
On Safari, this heading was very helpful for quickly scanning through our chat, but it seems to be gone now. I have to use VoiceOver's search feature to find the "Copy message" button and then navigate to the GPT response afterward, which isn't ideal. Has anyone else noticed this, or found a workaround?

Has anyone yet tried out ChatGPT Canvas with VoiceOver on macOS? I use the web interface with Safari and I find the Canvas not to be very accessible so far.
Or am I missing something? Do you have any tips to improve the experience as a VoiceOver user on Mac?

from today I have some strange problem in the browser version of ChatGPT.
Namely, when I select a fragment of text while traditionally navigating through it and press the copy shortcut (CMD+C), the focus is switched to the editing field.
Everything was working fine yesterday.
Does anyone confirm such a problem on their end?
I thought I would report it to OpenAI, but I can't find any feedback contacts.
However, when I copy using the function directly offered in ChatGPT, it copies text with (**), which is extremely irritating.

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to contact OpenAI for help. I just downloaded ChatGPT for the mac and I noticed that VoiceOver won't read the conversations. When ever I start interacting VoiceOver says, "In section. Content is empty." Anyone else beside me having this issue too? If so I would like to hear from you'll.

Happy holidays to everyone today. I recently installed Microsoft Teams on my Mac. I see the table with people I have started chats with but how do I chat with them? When I go to a person there is no edit box once a name is highlighted. I can also see my chat history with them. Please assist. Lol
