I was searching around for a used MacBook pro, and I found one used for $599. but is it worth the price? and can I get an apple care protection plan if I do decide to purchase it from, say, amazon? I just wanted to be sure before I make an investment. I herd of the newer models, but I'm not a fan of retina displays, I just want one without a retina display. hopefully apple will still support the 2011 model onword. thoughts?

When I try and input a decimal number in the Numbers spreadsheet app it is automatically rounded to the nearest whole number. Does anyone know how I can change this behavior? I read people talking about changing a setting in the menu bar, but I have combed through every part of the menu and I'm coming up with nothing. I really need to figure this out for work. Thanks.

Hi all. i fixed this ages back, but somehow I undid what i fixed. There's a part of my address bar that say things like top sites, and it has google, apple Yahoo, etc. as well as my bookmarks. I thought i hid it, but whatever I did I can't get it back to not showing up. I like going from toolbar to content not dealing with the mess that is that stuff. does anyone know what i'm talking about,a nd can you help me fix it, please? Thank you.

Hello all:
I bought a new Mac studio, and by default the File VOlt is enabled, today when i need to open the machine, it told me that my password is wrong, with no reasons at all.
I made a restart as suggested to unlock my Hard drive, but still locked, i tried all my passwords but with no luck. I even do not have an option to format, or doing any kind of decrypting my Hard drive.
so, what can i do to regain access to my Mac? it's ok for me to reset it all, because i do not have data on it, but how can i do this?

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe :) I'm looking for a dedicated solution to watch TV/films online with my cited friends. This can either be for macOS or iOS but thought I'd put it in the Mac forum. I know there's screen sharing options via zoom and SharePlay, but does anybody else know of any other dedicated options for doing this which are accessible?

I am a new MacBook Air user, and I recently set up my Mac, trying to change none of the default options. When I perform a shutdown with VoiceOver enabled and then power the machine back on, VoiceOver does not speak until I press "Command-F5." In addition, I have a "Guest User" option in addition to my Apple ID user group. Is this the default login behavior for Yosemite 10.10.3, or have I inadvertently toggled something off of its default setting?

Using Mac OS Ventura, is there a way to create a custom command in either Keyboard or Trackpad commander, that would let me quickly go back to the previous page in Safari? My MacBook came with an English keyboard, but I am actually using the Spanish ISO keyboard layout as set in settings. I know commands can change a bit based on your keyboard layout, and I've tried getting it to work, and can't seem to stumble on the right key combination. So, in VO Utility, under commands, is there a way to create a custom command for this?

How do I interrupt VO whileit is talking? In Jaws I can use Ctrl or Esc. How do I do this in High Sierra?

Back space delete characters to the left of the cursor. Is there a delete on the Mac? How do I delete characters to the right of the cursor?

I have a folder in the bookmarks I created a while ago to addd bookmarks to. I am trying to organise the bookmarks and thought that I no longer need this folder. I deleted all bookmarks inside it and I have tried everything to delete the folder itself but have failed so far. I tried the normal procedure of pressing the delete key, also tried the shortcuts menu and selected delete but the folder is still there. Anything I might be missing here?

Hello. I'm trying to delete an app from the finder that was not downloaded from the App Store. I've tried Command + backspace to move the app to the trash, but its not going. Can someone please help? Thank you

Call me fastidious, maybe I'm OCD. But every once in a while, my accumulation of text message conversations grows so large that I am compelled by voices in my head to examine each one. And, after such examination, if I conclude I can continue my existence on this Earth without that conversation, then I take some unnatural pleasure in deleting it.

I'm wondering how to delete conversations in this app? On the websites there's a drop-down next to the conversation, but in the app, there doesn't appear to be a way to right-click on the conversation the way the help section indicates. Just curious, as I suppose I could just do it in iOS and the websites. Thanks.

I'm wondering, is there a way to delete iOS apps from a mac? I don't want to delete them from iCloud, but I want to get them off the computer to get some storage space back.
