A few years ago, I was able to add Web sites to the Mac task bar, but not in Sierra. I want to add an alias for a Web site on the Mac desktop, or else in the task bar. Has anyone done this in Sierra? I've tried selecting the url in the Safari address bar and dragging it to an empty place on the desktop using vo+shift+command+space but no luck. As I recall, an older version of Safari had a Web site icon to the left of the url in the address bar, and dragging that, even with the VO+period key, worked to add it to the task bar. But not anymore.

Hey. I've learned basic video editing online tutorials with iMovie as a blind user and I want to add lyrics to a song that I have written and composed. Is there a detailed step by step instruction audio/text guide on how I can add lyrics and have the lyrics that was just added sync with the rhythm/tempo of the song? It would really help a lot. I work at a university and one of my initiatives is getting faculty to use/post only accessible PDFs for students. Initially I was going to train my faculty in making accessible word documents and exporting them as PDF, however, this is a Mac campus and I've discovered that all the tagging you do in Word gets lost when you export to PDF on a MAC (ugh!!). I'm trying to find solutions, but struggling.

I have a text document, currently in Word but it can easily be copied into Text Edit or another app.
I'd like to create an mp3 audio recording of the file being spoken by a TTS.
I could have sworn there used to be a feature for this in Mac OS, but I can't find it now. Does it exist?

My goal is to create a keyboard shortcut to run an applescript, which seems to be harder then you would think. The only way to do this without installing third party inaccessible apps is to create an automater service, which runs an applescript, and then assign that service a shortcut. My problem is that I can't drag the action in the actions pain to the workflow area, so that I can paste the script code in the text box that's supposed to appear inside Automater.

I have a website that is powered by Wordpress. It is not a Wordpress site. It is my own website that has Wordpress installed on it. I have always found the Wordpress web interface to be very lacking in the area of accessibility. It eventually got to the point that it was inaccessible, to me anyway. Years ago, I began to use MarsEdit to upload articles. Then I began to encounter an XML error, when trying to upload content. I was never able to resolve the issue. I did then and still do write all my content in Pages.

I have found that the more I practice and learn to write and move arround in doccuments the mor I want to be getting in to formating and edditing text. Has anyone had any luck creating business cards with pages or any other app for that matter? If so, could you pass along any info that would help me. I have a box of blank business cards and a good quality printer. I'd like to print my own cards whenever I need them.
If anybody has done this I'd appreciate any info. I look at the business card template in pages and can't seem to figure out where to start or if its even possible.

I am trying to add a custom ringtone to the MacBook Pro for the incoming facetime calls. I know you have to do some terminal commands and such, which I have done in the past. Does anyone know how to create a custom ringtone for the mac and add it to the ringtones for facetime calls for Mac? I already have it in M4R format.
