I use two languages to voice dictate my texts on MacOS. One issue here is when I want to use one language that is not set as default, I have to change it from system preferences. The dictation language is not as the case with the iOS and iPadOS that changes automatically depending on the keyboard language. Is there anyway I can change the dictation language on the fly using keyboard shortcut? I know from Google this is possible via scripting and they provide a code, but I am the worst in coding and that complex technical stuff.

Hello, I was wondering if any of you guys have experience this with using dictation in the latest version of Mac OS. When you dictate, everything seems to be working fine for a reasonable amount of time, and then all of a sudden, everything just goes crazy.
I was writing an email the other day, or I guess I should say, dictating an email to my Mac.
It didn't seem to be having any problems, and then all of a sudden, when I went to read the email, it was written as if I had written the words multiple times. I mean hundreds of times.

Good morning! Did any of you play these games? The games I'm referring to were for Windows created by an American programmer named Jim, but unfortunately he's dead. They were games created specifically for us visually impaired, so there was no graphics but only audio. My favorite was Pong! The game consisted of steering a soccer ball with the arrows trying to score and not to score the opponent, it was played only with the arrows on the keyboard.

So I just re installed it because I need to use word for college in a specific class and in fact the reason as to why Word specifically is a good one so I was like why not? Last time I tried word was on Ventura and I didn't like the experience at all. TLDR, after the setup with little help of vocr but apparently I didn't need it at the end of the day...
The biggest thing for me is that voiceover is actually able to announce empty rows and columns when we create a new table.

Am Creating some sheets on numbers, and do not want voice over to read the hidders names each time, because i can not understand my column.
so, let's say that am on b3, but voice over always anounce the A2, so, how can i make voice over just anounce b3 or d3, and if i need to know the hidder name, i can do something?

Since updating to Mac OS 12.2, the music app has became quite unresponsive. Navigation is hit and miss, especially when using the search field, or using quick nav in the web results pane. Also, I am getting the "Apple music is not responding" message followed by it kicking me to the top left of the app at the close button, resulting in me needing to navigate through the app again.
Any others encountering this, before submitting it to Apple, and is their any settings I need to make which could solve the issue?

I booted up my mac today to find that i can't use spotify at all anymore. When ever i open the app and voice over tries to focus it it closes right away again without an error or anything. It stays open if voice over doesn't try to interact with it. Any one else have this problem?
I am on macbook air m3 (2024) with macos 15.5.

Since today i realized that sending voice messages through whatsapp god rather difficult. Because when i press the button to start recording one i only have a cancel button but no send or pause buttons. The only way that i found to send is by leaving the chat while i am recording to force the recording into pausing and then going back into the chat and sending which is pretty anoying. I can't even make it work with VOCR. I am on an m3 macbook air with macos 26.

So as you all know, Safari is awful and it will likely cntinue to stay that way.
I'm on Ventura and it still sucks.I've given up waiting for a fix from apple, so I've started using Brave.
I haven't yet seen Brave Not Responding and I've gone as far as navigating my gmail desktop site with thousands of emails in my inbox without any issues. Safari will stop responding as soon as I arrow around.
Problem is, I can't have activities trigger on websites, since that feature only seems to work with Safari.

I recently upgraded to the latest software for mac, and now I’m having trouble reading ebooks in aple books with voice over. Every time I use the command to read by sentence, it takes several seconds for voice over to actually start reading. Doesn’t happen in any other apps I use: only in apple books. How do I fix this. Its making my reading experience very inefficient. It makes my mac heat up quite a bit: the fans even go off, which rarely happens for me. And its always saying ‘books not responding.’

I want to digitize my DVD collection so that I can take it with me when I travel on an external hard drive instead of bringing DVDs everywhere. Is there an app that is accessible that will let me do this? I have a M1 MacBook Air with 8GB of ram and 256GB storage.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the Mac, and I'm experiencing a strange problem ever since updating to Big Sur. About every 30 seconds, I will hear a soft dinging noise. If I turn VO off, this sound stops, but as soon as I turn VO back on, the 30-second intervals start again. I thought it might have something to do with notifications, but I've cleared them all, and the sound is still occurring. Does anyone know what this is and how to stop it?

I’m asking the community if anyone knows how to turn off the automatic interaction on the newer Mac OS. I’m still using Big Sur on my MacBook Air. I recently purchased a new Mac with Ventura. There seems to be a significant change in the way it operates. Previously, I could use VO find to locate text on the website and it would read the entire line or word. No longer functions that way, it only reads the first few letters that I type in.

In using the mail app on Mac, the client seems to mark a message as read as soon as I move to the new message. How can I change this behavior so it remains unread?
I remember this being an issue on a platform years and years ago, but I honestly don't recall if it was an iOS thing or if it was Thunderbird.
Any help would be appreciated.

from the previous Mac OS update, i did something that made all received messages come to my mac after i open my phone, i need to disable this, also, need a quick way to delete all message conversations that i found in my Message app, i found conversations from 2021, so , is there away to remove all them at once?
