Mac

Dear Applevis community,

I think it's important to spread this message around. You will find below a copy of an email sent by Pneuma Solutions, the company behind RIM software aiming to make remot support easy and accessible for blind people even if the controlled machine doesn't have any assistive technologies there.

I honestly haven't used RIM myself recently on Sequoia, but I am sure having seen a topic here saying that it was almost unusable. Sorry if this was already posted by someone before, here it is.

i am struggling with the mac mail app that when i VO + J into the message, it goes straight to the text of the message. usually, this is completely fine, but sometimes i want to copy the persons email and when i VO + Shift + Left arrow to un-interact with the text, it doesn't work. i end up just going to the bottom of the message, rather than back through the subject etc like i want to do. is this just a bug or am i doing something wrong?
Kind Regards
Rebekah

Hello my name is Matthew Whitaker. I’m trying to copy and paste songs from iTunes on my mac to my iPhone X. Is it possible to do that? If so, can you please help me? Also, this is my first post on the website, so hopefully I’m posting in the right form. :-) Thank you

I'm a new voiceover user on the mac, and i'm trying to figure out how to copy and paste text. i know how to do it on the touch, simply by doing 4 taps on the screen with 3 fingers. it does not work on the mac book air. so how do i do it? thanx guys!

Hi, I feel as though I've asked this before, or maybe just wondered it. How do you copy text from an iTunes store page so it can go into an app directory entry, for example. I'm on a Mac this time, and the standard OS X commands seem to accomplish nothing. The system won't even accept my command c for copy. I know I sound like a neophyte, but my next adventure is mastering the pinch gesture on iOS, LOL. Thanks!

How can I do it?

This something simple that I could not find a simple answer to.
In Windows I would press f6 and land in the address bar and select and copy the current url.
But for Safari I can't find a way to do it. I checked an option in the advanced tabs to show full url but couldn't find it.

Thanks,
Marlon

Ahoy there all.
I recently got myself a MacBook Pro 2015 I5 processor.
I have ben getting used to how the OS X works and all in all trying to get used to it.
The Guides on applevis have proved quite helpful however I do have a few questions the answers to which I couldn't find anywhere.
OSX has a systemwide spell checker, a good thing for people like me who couldn't spell their way out of a bucket. :d
First question, if I misspell a word, while writing how do I get a list of suggestions and choose the one I want?

Hello,
Siri does not appear to be working properly. I am on a MacBook air and am up to date with all the up dates. If I press the FN key with space bar, siri takes at least 40 seconds to respond. When it does, it says 'sorry, I did not hear that'. It has worked well since the last up date I think.
The other issue I have, when in Safari on numerous occasions I get the message "Safari busy". I have regularly cleaned up my MacBook with the Disc cleaner app hoping this would help but unfortunately not.
I am on broadband and our connection is good.

Hi all. Ok here are the two questions one of which is driving me crazy. If i'm in Yourufukuru and I get a mention or message, the notification center pops up.I close it and the menu bar stays up. I have to command tab around to get rid of it. How can I stop this behavior? I've checked, and the twitter share button is in the notification center, which I want, so I can share websites and things, but i really don't want ot to keep saying, mention by, message from... Oh the dialog is mention by, the name, then close button or sow button. Here's the second question.

Hi folks,
I am starting a new job in a couple of weeks and anticipate it being heavy on MS Excel. I was a strong user before my eyesight descended into the low vision space and am pretty good at using voiceover within other MS apps and on my MacBook, in general.
Within Excel, I'm having some trouble identifying / using navigation within a worksheet.
I'd greatly appreciate the wisdom of the community on this topic, in any forum or format!
Thanks!

So as of writing this is more a note to myself to properly document and report this when I am free (soon).
Basically I'm revising for my finals responsibly using chatgpt student. This is a simple latex expression
2(x+3y)(1+3y')=2x+e^{2y}(2y')
And chatgpt by default renders everything in mathml, which is cool for both sighted and blind users as we have wonderful (sometimes) screen readers to make math content readable.
