what doe s every like about the finder on the Mac?
Mac
Hi.
I have problem with finder on mac that doesn’t open it at first trial.
In order to open it, i have to open and close another app.
It also says that finder has new something and shows a new window. But it doesn’t open either.
Any suggestions?
Hi, all.
It's been a great adventure navigating the Mac. The one thing I'm curious about though is how to move files into the place I want them and how to get things out of the trash without necessarily copying and duplicating and cloning files. I keep forgetting the use of the cut command, and I don't know how else to move files around and make sure they appear in the folders I want them in.

Hello everyone.
I need your help with the mac problem again.
It shows me a documents folder when i open my mac. The folder opens itself from the finders app.
I thought that downloading google drive is the issue, but i don’t know for sure.
Oh and i couldn’t remove google drive from mac either.
I hope that my explanation is enough☺️
I want to locate all of the files containing a specific string in their file names. The files are in a very large music collection, so scrolling through folder contents, even when typing the first letters of a file name is cumbersome. I’m also having trouble using the finder find command (cmd-F) with VO. Using the VO find feature just locks up VO for more than 10 minutes. Because the drive containing the music collection has over 100,000 tracks/files, I’d like to do my searches within folders. Even the folders have several hundred or more tracks.
I use Preview for reading PDF files in my Mac. The problem is that I haven't found how to search for text in that App. If I use the OSX Find Command with the shortcut Command f, the Voiceover cursor doesn't jumps to that location. Even with the VO Find command I can't seem to be able to do what I want, since it seems that it only works with the text within the page I'm reading.
I will appreciate any suggestions in this matter.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos

Good afternoon. I have a MacBook pro. how do you find your list of books in iBooks and read them? I have not been able to find any of my books. Thank you.
Hi
I'm using my 2015 MacBook Air at school. I'm using Text Edit. I don't find pages numbers from my books. I enter the page number in the find field and press enter but there is also other Text from the book. Why is it so? Am I doing something wrong that I can't find right things immediately?
Thank you
Does anyone know how a blind person would detect incorrect capitalization issues in a word processor on Mac? For example, suppose I capitalize some random word in the middle of a sentence. Unlike Windows MS Word, the spelling and grammar checker fails to detect these types of grammar mistakes.
The only solution I've found so far is to copy and paste the text into an online grammar checker such as grammerly.com, but this is really tedious. I wish there was a way to detect these grammar mistakes with a native Mac tool or something in VoiceOver.
Forgive the fact that I am coming from the app store more prior to Catalina when it was totally revamped, so I'm still to this day on Big Sur trying to get my head around interacting with all the different collections, and sections, etc. Quite frankly, I know a ton of you think this way's more intuitive, but honestly, I think it's very clunky, and extremely sloppy. That's just me though, but anyway, I digress.
If I'm in a word document is there a VO key combination I can use to find out my location? For example, if you use alt delete with JAWS in Word you'll hear how far from the margins you are and what page you're on. Thanks.
Good day to all. It is with a bit of embarrassment I ask this. I learned where it was from the Apple store and now can't find it. I want to create an outlying in pages and learned that the Harvard Style would do this. It worked great at the store but now when I really need it I can't find it. Can someone tell me where it is? Thanks so much. This is a great tool and will be helpful to many.
Hi,
This seems as though it would be a simple thing, but I cannot figure out how to do it. On the PC, if I switch away from an app and back to my browser or email, my screen reader is where I left it. On Mac, it goes to the first focusable control on the screen. This makes me much less efficient. How do I solve this issue on Mac?
Disclaimer: I work for Mozilla. And I would like to share the following announcement with the AppleVis community.
Firefox 85 Beta is here and with it our consumer preview of macOS VoiceOver support. Until recently it was completely unusable in Firefox but this year the Firefox accessibility team stepped up to fix that.
Hello!
I am want to ask if have a problem, on firefox I'n OS X on firefox for mac?
Wen i am uses in firefox the browser has responded slowly. anyone have experience this? it's a
thenk for everything.
So Firefox has this great feature where you can set custom search Keywords for different searches. For example if i go to YouTube and right click on the search bar, one of the options will be 'Add Keyword for this Search.'
If for example i set the keyword as "you", then next time i want to search for a YouTube video, i can simply go to the address bar and type in 'You" followed by the search term.
Is there any such feature or extension that will allow me to achieve the same functionality in Safari?
