hey all,
I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth with the Facebook basic site.
For awhile now, every time I try and respond to a comment on the desktop, I get the message, content not available. Even with my own stuff.
It's the same in Safari and Google Chrome.
I have heard of some Windows users having this bug as well. It is driving me to distraction.
For now, I have to use the main site which is not a very pleasant experience or, I have to use my phone.

Hey guys,
we together with a friend want to create one utility program for Macbook and I want to validate this problem hypothesis before building something. This utility will help to switch between programs fast and smoothly. There are 10 questions I'd like to ask you to get feedback. Could you please help us with that? Just need 5-10 minutes of your time to know if there is any challenge :)

Would much appreciate that🙌🏻

I tried to convert some .ffm files to .mp3 with Fission and it would not let me add the files. Anyone know of any apps that convert .ffm files? Thank you.

Has anyone else experienced incorrect file dates after upgrading to 15.3?

I've recently noticed that several of my files and folders appear in Finder list view with a Date Added time stamp of August 16, 1970 at 9:05PM, but if I Command+I, the creation and modification date are correct. As a workaround, I turned off the Date Added column and turned on the Date Modified column.

I've recently come across this app called FilePane on MacWorld http://www.macworld.com/article/2465174/filepane-review-expand-the-power-of-drag-and-drop-on-your-mac.html

I really like the concept. Looks like it's a review of the earlier version of the app 1.4 Having visited the developers website, looks like it's improved alot (UI and more features).

Was wondering if someone here's using it?

I work for a place that has fillable PDF forms. My understanding was as long as Adobe is on that computer, one should be able to fill these out. Is this not the case for the Mac? I would test this out, but my Mac cannot receive the latest updates. Thanks for any help.

I have a form from a college, it’s in English and I live in Turkey, which means I don’t really have anyone around who knows much English. To fill out the form, I would normally need to scan it and a sighted person would write my response, but I just discovered the form-filling feature in Mac Preview. Does it work properly? I’ve noticed it labels some items correctly, but others aren’t as clear.

I am a terrible Mac user, but I like the idea of setting up a virtual machine on my seldom-used Mac. I found Parallels and VOCR. Everything went relatively smoothly until I was asked to sign in with my Parallels email and password. (I set this up on the Parallels web site.) I am properly positioned to just type in my email address but I can't figure out for the life of me how to find and access the password field. My password jut appears after my email address.

Hello again, everyone.
It just so happens that today I have a few more questions. This time I’m wondering how to deal with files in ODT format. Recently, I received a form to fill out that was in ODT. I downloaded the LibreOffice app to open the file and try to fill it in. However, in my opinion, filling out anything in that app is nearly impossible. So, I decided to export the form from LibreOffice to DOCX format. I’m not sure if that’s a good long-term solution. Does the text shift or get messed up when I do that? It looked fine, but I can’t be certain.

Hi there,

It's Joseph. Does anyone know how i can fill out pdf forms using preview on MacOS 10.12.3? I've got a form to fill out for my college's testing center, but I'm just not sure what steps I need to take in order to fill out the form?

Joseph King

Does anyone happen to know how to access and use drop-down filters in a Google sheet? I know that with a standard drop-down you would press enter on the cell in question and hit the up and down arrows to navigate through the options, but it looks like filters are a different can of worms.

Hi guys!

I was wondering if it is possible to place effects and titles in Final Cut Pro x and independently interact with them/move them around by entering a time code?

I know how to do the basics, but I really need to be able to do some precision editing and not just insert or throw background tracks/sound effects on my primary storyline. At the same time, I also need to be able to edit other titles, effects, or b-roll footage without touching my primary storyline.

I just hope it is. I updated my Safari version to 26.5 and have used Safari extensively. I haven’t encountered the weird bug yet, so hopefully, it’s never coming back. I’m happy with my Sequoia and don’t plan to switch to Tahoe anytime soon. Hopefully, macOS 27.0 will be stable enough, at least as stable as Sequoia, and I will update.

Hi list,
I have imstalled Ventura on my Mac, but a very strange thing happens, Voiceover says that finder has no windows and I can open menus because Vo-m does not work.
What can I do to solve this problem?
Apart from that, I can not find the option to make Voiceover say the time aloud, any help, please?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

Hi all,
I have the following issue in finder: When I open a folder that contains several subfolders VO always says that Finder is busy and it takes me let's say 20 seconds to navigate down to the next folder.
I'm working with a MacBook (2016) but also experienced this problem on my MacBook Air 12 (2012). I'm running OS X 10.11.5 and I'm browsing in column view.
Do you have any ideas? I would be very thankful cause it bothers a lot.

Best regards

Hi everyone,
I've been a Mac user for over 9 years, and I still find navigating the Finder with VoiceOver a bit challenging. I currently use the list view, which requires using VO + up/down arrows to open and close folders.
However, I've noticed some users mention using the column view, where they can apparently open/close folders with just the left and right arrows. This seems like it could be a more efficient option, especially when collaborating with someone sighted.

Hello everyone,
Another big bug I have seen on multiple computers on Sonoma besides the big one (SNR) is that the finder is unresponsive for minutes at a time after restarting a Mac running Sonoma. finders sometimes needs a force quit and then it might start working correctly. That’s why I downgraded my M1 to an older version.
Do you know if this issue is still happening with Mac OS 14.2 or 14.3?
