Hi,
I was trying to bootcamp a 2011 21.5inch iMac, and after the windows files were copied and the windows support file downloaded and the mac rebooted, the screen said "No bootable device found. Press any key to continue". Holding down the alt key and pressing enter brings me back to macOS. I have fould online that there could be an issue with the iso or the drive. I have used two different win7 iso's, and they both do the same thing. I have also used a usb2.0 flashdrive and a usb3 external harddrive.
Do you know what I should try next?

Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe, I'm using fantastical on an iPhone SE three running iOS 17. I'm having real trouble with alerts for some reason. I've set the default alert duration in calendar settings to 1 hour. When I'm creating an event in fantastical and I set the alert duration to anything other than one hour the alerts do not appear and I receive no notifications for any alerts apart from the default duration of one hour. Does anybody know why I could be experiencing this problem and how to resolve it please?

I recently updated my Macbook Air 2015 to the latest version of High Sierra. But now my Macbook Air will not accept my logging password. Whenever I try to sign in with my password, I always get an error message "logging failed".I tried resetting my password via single user mode but was unsuccessful , i kept getting "Permission Denied" in the terminal.I successfully reset my password from recovery mode but when i login with the new password i still get the same error "Login Failed". What is the remedy?

Hi all.
I'm having a really strange issue with my M1 Macbook pro.
When I leave it off power and let it sleep for an extended period of time (3+ hours) when I open it back up, I can't get VO to speak or any other sound to come out of it for that matter.
The first time this happened, I assumed it died, but plugging it in did not fix it and after restarting it with the power button, the battery was over 50%.
It just happened again about 5 minutes ago and I'm getting sick of using the power button to restart it.

I have recently noticed an issue with Pages on my Mac. When I open a document, and even if I make no changes to it, when I close it out my Mac wants me to save the changes. When I click save it says that the untitled document can't be opened right now and that my most recent changes may be lost. It then gives me the option to either discard it or cancel. I have run a virus scan and nothing shows up, I have shut down and restarted my computer three times, and nothing changes. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

I'm having a strange issue with Pages on my MacBook. The VoiceOver continues to repeat the word "body" with a low-frequency voice when I move up and down through the lines of the text, and the same happens with Notes. Have I accidentally activated some features I didn't want to? Can anyone help me to fix it?

I had a couple of issues with pages on my macbook air 2013 running the latest version of mac OS Catalina.
The first thing is I was spell checking my document today. The document is a fantasy novel so there are different names for people and places etc. Even though I had told spelll check to learn some of these in the most recent spell check, it kept going back to them, It even did it when I pressed ignore instead.

I downloaded Fine Reader and downloaded Prizmo for the Mac because I wanted to use OCR software. I'm confused as to why Fine Reader has you save the document before exporting it? How come I can't just read the document and not save it?
Also, when I export a PDF the document that exports is blank.
Can someone also explain how Prizmo's OCR software works and the steps to start OCR?

I've been using Teams on Mac OS for a while now and it works much better for me than it does with JAWS on windows, mainly because JAWS is really sluggish with Teams.
Unfortunately, I've been having one problem that I can't seem to get rid of.
When arrowing through a channel in a team, VO will be interrupted by a menu that pops up.
For example, I'll hear something like "Threaded conversation with 15 repl menu."

Does anybody else experience issues where you are typing in a text box whether interacting or not and no characters you type input? Primarily experiencing this with safari and terminal, and it seems to happen randomly. Doesn't matter what website I use, or what I am trying to use the terminal for. My only solution so far is to close whatever I am running and reopen it.

I recently upgraded to El Capitane and am faced with the following issues in TEXtEdit:
1) The behavior of the arrow keys (without VO keys) is erratic.
2) VoiceOver suddenly stops speaking characters.
3) VO + A to read text from the VO cursor, stops reading mid way.

Is anyone experiencing these issues? Are there any workarounds? Resetting VOICeover sometimes helps with Issue #3.

hi all, on my wifes macbook air 12 inch running 10,12 sierra she is seeing the doc randomly appear almost as though she has activated it when voiceover is on. this could happen when editing a pages document, for example or navigating the web. can anyone this is a strange issue.Will

So, I tried to use Boot Camp and I corrupted it so I reinstall macOS and I don’t want to try that again and today I’ve been trying to find good virtual machine software I tried VMware fusion which doesn’t work on my MacBook because it’s too old I’ll trade virtual box which also won’t work it is in accessible I don’t know what else to do because I can’t find any other programs does anyone know what I could use?

I run OSX 10.115 on iMac 5k 27 inch late 2015.
I'm having a problem Voiceover crashing my computer. I use just Alex voice. Screen just goes black and reboots.
If someone does the exactly same task without Voiceover, it doesn't happen.
For example, adding input files in xcode project > build phases > Run Script.
Also it doesn't happens 100% all the time.
Looking at /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, there are bunch of coreaudiod and a couple of kernel files.

I was trying to create entries for Voiceover's pronounciation dictionary.
entries that don't have spaces work okay, but as soon as I add spaces, it fails to recognize the updated pronounciation rule.
Do I need specific symbols to indicate the presence of a space in the text?
Do I need to use regular expressions or something?
