With VoiceOver enabled, there are two ways to move focus to the Menubar. Press VO+M, or press Control+F2. However, it seems that Control+F2 often stops working. Does anyone know of a setting that would enable or disable this keyboard shortcut?
Interestingly, when Control+F2 is non-functional, Control+F3 still works to move focus to the Dock. And, once focus is in the Dock, Control+F2 works again and moves focus to the Menubar. So it's very strange.
One of the feature I like most is that mac messages ap syncs with I fone messages and it is so easy to send important text messages as it is easier to type in Mack than on I fone. After I updated my I fone to IOS10, face time and mail have syncronised but messaging ap has not. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I have done all the things like freshing networks, even have again updated IOS 10 with I tunes, have done all those things with blue tooth refresh etc.

Hi all. I am in need of a bit of help. I am able to hook up my small I believe it's a 13 or 15 inch flat screen TV to my Mac Mini via an HDMI kable. I am able to hear sound and sighted indeviduals are able to see the computer screen as well. But, when I try to use the volume keys on my Logitek K760 BT keyboard with the f11 and f12 keys my mom tells me that a (NO) symble comes up on the screen. It is like a circle with a slash through it. Is there any way anyone could help me to fix this.

I’ve been thinking about replacing my current home computer and was wondering whether Mac Mini is a suitable option. I would like to get a taste of Mac OS and since I use a windows machine, I would also prefer to have that. I’ve heard that recent Mac minis, even the basic version come with good specs. My usage involves browsing, a bit of audio editing, playing audio games, watching movies etc.
So, what’s the experience with bootcamp and windows on Mac Mini?

Has anyone experience with a headless Mac mini setup? I'd use speakers connected via 3.5mm port, a Braille display connected via USB and the Magic Keyboard with numpad and Touch ID.
Can the Mac mini set up only using VoiceOver without a display?
Are there any disadvantages when you do not have connected a display? Like performance decrease or so?
And how can I connect the magic Keyboard at first set up as I think it can only connect via Bluetooth?

I have just purchased and received my first MacBook, as a Windows convert, and so far, I am loving it. Voiceover seems to come really naturally to me, which could be partly due to my experience and many years of using VoiceOver on the iPhone and iPad.
This morning, I started the upgrade to 11.3.1. After downloading the update, my computer alerted me it would restart in 60 seconds. But when I switched to System Preferences to select the Restart Now link, VoiceOver navigation seemed to be disabled. I could switch to other appsand use them normally, but System Preferences seemed to be frozen and would not let me navigate to the Restart Now button. I had no choice but to wait out the 60 seconds and let the system restart automatically.
Anyone else see this?
I know i'm one of the few who likes Espeak but i can't figure out how to get it working under Mac OS.
I know it is possible to do this but would anybody know how?

Question for people who have experience working with PDF's and Voiceover: have you noticed that Preview, Apple's native reader app, struggles with document read order even if a file has been optimized for accessibility? I've mainly seen this happen when special formatting is involved, like a table or a numbered list. If, for example, I'm trying to read through a list of items 1-10, Voiceover will read all the actual list elements in a single chunk and then announce all the numbers separately.

I recently upgraded to big sir on my MacBookk air in preparation for eventually upgrading my daily driver.
Everything is fine apart from I am having an issue with the dock. I am unable to view the menu for any icons, and even if I do, and try to remove it, the icon does not go.
I've tried VO shift M, and using the actions menu's "show menu" option but nothing worse. Sometimes it jumps me back to where I was before I moved to the dock, or it gets me stuck in a dock application with no windows.

As you know WWDC has begun today and Apple introduced new soft wares for iPhone, Mac, and other stuff.
And I think most of you are aware of Voiceover bugs on Mac.
I think that this is the best time of the year to encourage and push apple to fix all the voiceover bugs.
Since Mac OS High Sierra, nothing change about Voiceover. Mac OS Mojave brings nothing and fixed no bugs.
I'm not a developer or beta tester for Mac, but I believe there are people who will test Mac OS Catalina in this community.

So after leaving the Mac world in 2022 and using Windows as my daily driver, after hearing the news about the new M4 Mac Minis, decided to dip my toes again in the Mac pool so I could stay current on the goings on in Mac OS. I can already say that, going from whatever version of Mac OS in 2022 on an Intel based Mac and now using an Apple silicon Mac with Sequoia, there are definitely many differences in how the UI is laid out now.
I'm enjoying trying to recall how to use VoiceOver on the Mac and trying to troubleshoot issues I'm encountering in this new OS.
