It seens Office 2016 hs been released.
Did you try it and how the accessibility relates specially regarding its privious versions and also the competing Apple works package?
It would be nice to have two accessible platforms for productivity on Mac OS.

Hi all,
I'm looking for some advice on using mac os in a home office.
I have used windows for many years, and have only in the last year or so started to use a mac laptop. I would consider myself a power user on windows, whereas I am intermediate at best on mac - realistically, more like beginner.I haven't used the mac os very much at all in that time, mostly bootcamping my macbook air with windows 10.
I have used OSX just long enough to know there a couple things I really like about it, and a couple things that might just be deal breakers.

How do most of you play old windows games, and play with old tts engines such as decTalk on the modern macs that use the m4 chip? From what I read, windows xp, 7, 10, 11, they don't work under parallels on arm-based macs. and if arm-based windows11 has to be used for such winidows games, is it easy to get ahold of? one of my family members is a TVI in Washington DC. so if they switch to mac, then I will, because my family member will have questions that I should support her and give answers to, like how I do with jaws, now.

Hi everyone. Subject pretty much sums it up. I'm wondering if there is a way to omit this option when navigating through the VoiceOver ring, where various settings are adjusted on the fly such as Voice, Volume and so forth. I've been trying to help out a sister, and neither of us are Braille display users. If this cannot be done that's understandable, but I'm just curious. Tia for anyone's assistance.

I have used the Mac on and off for the last several years. However I. can not figure out this issue and how to make it stop. If I am reading an article and I do a two finger swipe down or a VO a to read all if I get a notification like mail for example Voiceover stops reading and reads me the new alert I like this method some times but when I am working in particular I don't want to hear every mail notification preview being read. Can I stop this temporally somehow?

Before I report this to Apple, I'm wondering if I'm missing something or anyone is able to confirm this?
Previously, "change pitch" for capital letters did not work with Eloquence, but did work with Nuance voices. Now though, it appears the functionality is broken across the board, unless there's a setting I'm missing somewhere that needs to be tweaked. To replicate:
1. Type a capital letter
2. Move the cursor to the capital letter and see if VoiceOver changes pitch (it should).

Hi everyone,
I've been using DJay on the Mac for a few months now, and I really like that app. The only thing that I would like to change are the one shot samples you've got. By these I mean the sounds you hear when you press buttons X, C, V, B, N, which include the shot gun sound, a kick drum and a few other sounds.
I was wondering if there's a way of changing these sounds?
Is there a way to do this?

Hi, all. I literally stumbled upon a way to make Kindle cloud Reader perfectly useable on the Mac with Google chrome. I found a Chrome extension called readAloud, which is free. It's very customizable, with keyboard shortcuts and a number of voice options, including using Mac voices like Alex. I set up keystrokes for toggling it on and off and for playing and pausing speech. It already has a few default keystrokes. once that was set up, I went to the Kindle cloud Reader site and opened a book.

ALso, I read the Microsoft accessibility short cuts but they are not like google drive or something,

Hi all,
I duel boot my Mac and I've stayed in Windows for... a while.
I'm encountering an issue where when I boot up into macOS with a new USB headset I haven't used with the Mac before, I get only VoiceOver sounds from the internal speakers and no speech.
Is there a workaround for this? I've also forgotten the password for my user, which it says can apparently be reset via Apple ID cridentials, but that appears not to work. I've even changed my Apple ID password just for this specific scenario here.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometime back I had an app called Onyx. This was like a cleaner and at the time I ran this on my Mack Mini 2010 model. I of course have updated and now run a 2023 Mack and I tried to get in touch with the developer of this app but they didn't give me much assistance. If anyone knows about this app may I please have some assistance if you know how to contact me? I also had Bit deffender but no more as I don't remember how to set it up since my Computer has an M2 chip in it.

One of the jobs I have is working for a newspaper. Macs are used. Is the program open access accessible? If not, what program can I use to write articles?The articles are submitted to a server. Would that also be accessible? I've been using my Windows laptop, but it isn't a good option. Thank you.

I use a folder on my Mac that doesn't have have a key stroke hooked up to it. Is there a way for me to find an unassigned key and press it to quickly open the folder?
