Suppose I have a multi-page Pages document marked up with comments. Is there a way to easily jump from the comment window to the anchor text?

Starting today, on my Mac, Pages and Numbers files are opening very slowly from Finder. It has always taken a little time for them to open, maybe 2 or 3 seconds, but now it is taking much longer to open the same files, probably 10 to 15 seconds. Everything else is running fine. A re-boot did not change anything. I have done no software updates recently. I have a 2015 Mac-book Pro, 13 inch, with a Core I7 processor, 16 gigs of ram, and a 1 terabyte SSD which is only about a quarter full, so lack of system resources is not the problem.
After upgrading to Sierra I am unable to navigate TextEdit or Pages documents with QuickNav. There’s no option to navigate through lines or paragraphs. The only available options are Characters, words, Windows Spots and Navigation.
Hi all,
I am a PhD student and have received a draft of a document I have sent to my supervisor. The document includes feedback using tracking features, such as corrections and comments. I am struggling with Pages to get those announced, accepted and reviewed. Please if anybody can provide detailed description of how VO inteeracts with documents including such features.
I recently installed the latest version of Pages, and now when I select text voice over doesn't anounce what is selected. It works fine in other applications. Is anyone else having this problem?
Greetings all. I have looked all over this site, but have not yet found the answer to the following question. I just got pages for the mac, and I am trying to work with tables. I can insert one just fine, but it gives me a predefined set of columns and rows. How do I change this? I want to add and delete rows/columns. I have figured out how to delete columns and rows, but is there a way to delete several columns and rows at once? Also, how does one add columns and rows? Thank you very much.
hello all,
I have to write a paper for university. How well does pages work with VoiceOver? I used Microsoft Office on Windows but it was office 2003. I figure I'd have to learn a new user interface anyway so pages I plan to use. Is there a guide for learning keyboard commands for pages? I am running the latest version of macos Catalina if that matters.
thanks,
Daniel
Hi. Checking in for a student who needs to write scholarly articles using the APA style. He's new to the Mac but has used an iPad for years. I'm quite used to using Pages to create documents, but I must admit, that for uncomplicated docs, I use Text Edit. Since I haven't written anything scholarly for quite some time, I'm wondering what opinions others might have regarding the most user-friendly word processor for writing scholarly articles.
AM I crazy, or does VO fail to announce when a strikethrough effect is applied to text? I have VO set up to beep when text formatting changes, and yet it doesn't do anything when text should be struck through, and also doesn't report anything about the formatting being different when I hit VO + T. Is this just a shortcoming of VO, or am I actually failing to apply the strikethrough to the text?
I am trying to find tutorial for Mac Pages online. Any idea where to find one with comprehensive content on formatting and other features?
Greetings forum members,
Navigating the Mac system can be a bit perplexing, especially when it comes to choosing between Pages, TextEdit, and the Notes app for handling text-based tasks. Could someone shed light on the key differences among these applications and when it's best to use each?
I understand that all three apps deal with text, but I'm struggling to discern the nuances between them and when one should be favored over the others. Also, are all three apps are accessible with VoiceOver?
Hi everyone, I'm Heidi. I am new to learning my Mac. I got the basics of getting around no problem but I am experiencing a bit of issues with Pages, Text Edit, and Safari... I am hoping some of you members can shed some light. Any help is greatly appreciated.
So I am wondering if there are any great in depth tutorials for the above apps mentioned. I really need to learn more than just the basics. I have searched everywhere for tutorials for the High Sierra OS versions but I can't seem to come across anything. There must be some out there.
So I’ve been using a Mac for well over a year now, and I think I’ve mastered most everything, even if I’ve yet to make it my go-to machine for every task. One of the minor annoyances I have with VoiceOver on the Mack is the seemingly total lack of paging function. Sure, if you turn on keyboard help and press VO plus’s FM and any of the arrow keys it tells me those are the page up, down, left and right functions, but I can’t actually use them on, say, a webpage. I have no ideas why. Any suggestions on how to make this work, what might be causing it not to work, etc?
