I am a blind person using VoiceOver. I’ve discovered a few games lately that are only available on Windows, such as the games from VGStorm.com.
I want to by another computer and since I feel more comfortable with MacOs system, I’d like to invest in a Macbook Air.
However, I still want to play my games, so I wish to Virtualize Windows so I can play.
What kind of machine will I need to easily play games on my Macbook? I have many options of processors, ram and since these things are costly, I want to make sure I’ll buy the right thing.

Does anyone know how I can put .wma files into iTunes? iTunes just won't open them and neither will Quicktime. I am running the latest version of iTunes on Mac, and the latest version of OS X Yosemite.

I don't mean to sound alarmist, but it seems that the Safari "Not Responding" issue has taken a turn for the worse. So, let me ask two sarcastic questions: Is there really an accessibility team at Apple? And if there is, are they really skillful?

in the first release of mavericks, finder has problem dealing with folders contain large number of files, has it been fixed in the latest version (10.9.1)? please post your finding.
i know the infinite loop issue in safari has been fixed, thank god! took them more than two months to do that, i was getting more upset every passing day. the released safari 6.1 for mountain lion which had the same issue, i assume they did the same for mavericks.

I have a mac with the latest update. I plugged in a thumb drive. When I was done with it, I hit the eject button and pulled out the drive. Then I got a message saying the drive was not ejected properly. I tried again and closed the drive window before pulling it out and got yelled at, again. Why does Apple have to be so picky about how I unplug a device?

After I updated to Mac OS Mojave yesterday, I foolishly managed to disable the functioning of the keyboard commander that announces the time for VoiceOver users. (It was my own stupidity -- when I was asked if I wanted to allow access to something or other, I quickly and unthinkingly clicked on "no.") I've tried resetting the VO commander keys under VO utility, but that didn't fix things.

My keyboard becomes unresponsive it seems when trying to use things like dictation or commands that require two presses of a key. If I hit a key twice my keyboard no longer seems to work and edit boxes or with commands. Can someone please assist me with this? I can't imagine this is a bug it must be some setting I'm not seeing. The only way to fix this is to do a restart or sometimes things get unstuck if enough time goes by.

In the Mountain Lion version of OSX, reading mail was a breeze. In the messages column group, simply pressing VO-J jumped to the message content, saying jump to text, and you could read the text of the message with the cursor keys. To jup back to the message column pressing VO-J went back, as did pressing backspace to delete the message and jump to the message column group. Now , the behavior is totally different. When I press VO-J, as it did before it says "jump to text" but it doesn't work.

Hello,
I am looking in to getting a Mac because my laptop with Jaws is dying on me. I've never tried Voiceover on a mac but have iphone etc. It appears to me that jaws has deteriated considerably since i first started using it. So i am looking in to the mac with voiceover.
What i would use it for - i use the internet quite a lot - outlook and itunes (which is rubbish with jaws)
I have no idea which one would be best for me

Hi. Besides the default applications that come preinstalled on the Mac, the only ones I added are skype, fission and dropbox. My downloads and trash folders are empty. I have not set up any mail accounts in the mail app. I do not run windows and did not make any partitions. My dropbox has 55 gb of files in it. My computer storage is 120 gb. I am getting an error message saying dropbox can't sync because my disk space is low. Does anyone know what could be using the other 65 gb or is there a place in settings like in iOS with settings-general-usage where I could go and check?

I know the Mac is far superior to the PC. But, could we please have some kind of tone when we shut down the computer, and another one when we reboot? Is that too much to ask?

If you haven't yet done so, & you're running High Sierra, please update immediately in order to fix a flaw that would allow root access without entering a password. The patch is called security update 2017-001 & is available via the 'updates' tab in the Mac App Store. If a root account is required, it can be created & a password set using 'System Preferences'. I recently picked up a new Mac Mini with the intent of turning it into a home theater. I intend to use Plex as the main platform via the Media Center and Server..
Thus far I managed to setup the Plex Server and Plex Remote on the iOS devices, but just realized that the Plex Home Theater is not accessible. Does anyone know how to make the Plex Media center accessible, or will I have to rely on a sighted user to interact with it when not using one of the iOS remotes?
Additionally, I am looking for a streaming device that will hook up to the other TV's in the house.

I've read a lot of posts about Windows and Mac, but the part that interested me is that many claim that Mac is the best for music producers because the plugins are accessible. So I decided to register on the forum to ask them: which plugins are accessible? At least Kontakt isn't, unless you have their keyboard, but I honestly don't plan on buying it. So, which vst do you use? Especially for instruments.

For those with Pocket Casts accounts, do you experience the following bug on Mac OS using Voiceover and the web player?
1 go to: pocketcasts.com and sign into your account.
2. Go to a podcast subscription which contains a lot of episodes.
3. Move down through the podcast episodes. By now, have you seen the bug? If you notice that Voiceover suddenly jumps you quite away back through the podcast feed then congratulations! You have spotted what I am talking about.
Would love to know if I am the only Mac user experiencing this issue.

Hi everyone I hope you're doing well and staying safe. I'm thinking of recording a podcast series and possibly streaming to twitch. For this I will need to record my USB microphone and audio from VLC media player at the same time as well as possibly streaming video of myself to twitch. What would be the most accessible way of doing this? I Already have audio hijack pro.
If somebody could help me with this that would be great, your help with this would be most welcome. Kind regards Trey.
