Mac

Hi all.

I've got Downcast on iOS, and I know I can get that for Mac, for five bucks. So I thought I'd see if people like something else, before I spend the money for that. I imagine it will be fine, but maybe there's something better out there that I don't know about.

Is there a podcast client for Mac, which is accessible with Voiceover and will allow me to easily access the downloaded media files? I have Downcast for IOS and I really like it. However, there are some podcasts which I would prefer to access on my Victor Reader Stream. My second generation Stream can subscribe to and download podcasts directly but its download speeds are rather slow and I have run into at least one RSS feed that it has problems with for some reason.

Hello everyone, This is a quick note to let you all no that I have created a podcast demonstrating the bug that a lot of us have been experiencing between Voiceover and Safari in OS X version 10.8.4. I also demonstrate a couple of temporary solutions and workarounds (that do not include rebooting your Mac).

I had High Siera but upgraded to Big Sur because I kept hearing one should update because of security concerns.
After upgrading I found the podcast app.
There is something about it I want all to know.
With iTunes, one could get the feed link which was used to subscribe it.
With podcast, one can not find that at all.
It lets one copy a link, but it does not seem to be the feed link.
Is there a way one may get a podcast's feed?
Also, might there be another podcast software which is workable with Voice-Over?

Hi folks.
I'm thinking about buying downcast for the Mac.
I use overcast on my phone, but would like to remember said podcasts place on what ever I want to listen to it on.
Just wondered, if its any good, and does it support the .ogg format?

Hi every one,

I have seen unanswered questions crop up here and there about Office 2016 accessibility. Now that I have a little time on my hands, does everyone want a podcast series on Office 2016? Put your votes in the comments, and if they favor a podcast series, I will surely create one. What do you think?

Hi folks.
Just thought I'd give iTunes a try.
So, I'm finding I have to do a a lot of VO left/right, and I here things like item checkbox, image, then the number of the track, then the track title.
Coming from windows, I thought it would speak all those things at the same time.
I'm a little confused.

Hi all.

Currently, I'm using Downcast, which I generally like, except for one thing. There's no way to set it, that I can find, to prompt you on deletion of podcasts. So if I'm in the podcasts table on a podcast, and I accidentally bump the giant delete key, blam! There goes whatever podcast I was in the middle of listening to, and I have to go resubscribe.

So is there a way to get it to prompt for deletion, or maybe change the shortcut to cmd-delete or something?

Hello!

I am trying to find a good podcasting app that works with Voice Over. I know that Down Cast exists and that app is $5.00. But, that app has only one rating in the app store. Are their other podcasting apps that would work with voice over either free, or paid that I might be able to try before i buy if paid versions exist?

Normally, I listen to podcasts on my iPhone or iPad with Castro, but I do have a question. I seem to vaguely remember that this was one of the biggest things about the native Apple Podcasts app which I hated worth a passion.

hi I have updated my mac to the latest software and I am having problems with the podcasts app. Basically it isn't playing things or behaving in a way I would expect. This is probably old news now. But I can''t find any help on google and as I use my mac a lot I want to listen to podcasts there too. I thought the commands would be the same as iTunes, but evidently not. It would have been good if apple could have made a guide for voiceover users.

Hey everybody,

Has anyone tried the QuentinC's playroom web client on the Mac? I would really like to play the poker game, and almost everything works fine, except for placing bets. I can call, fold etc. no problem, but when I hit the raise button I get an error. If anyone could offer any advice I would really appreciate it. The sight looks really cool, but it doesn't have the best documentation for it's games.

I have wanted to be able to play poker with other people on my mac for a long time now, and I hope QuentinC's playroom makes that possible.

Hi,

I'm having a problem being able to download something from YouTube in pontes media downloader. Usually when I've had a problem before it says error in the downloads table. But this time I have left it trying to download something for ages and it just says 0% and starting.

But no mention of an error.

Has anyone got any ideas what would be going on or what I can try to fix it? Or any other ways that people download audio from websites?

I recently updated to Big Sur. At the same time, I updated to the latest versions of a few apps, including Pages and Numbers. Right after updating, I noticed that when arrowing through text character by character in Pages, it will occasionally skip a character. Similarly, in Numbers, when moving left to right, it will occasionally skip a column. For example, I will be on column G, I will press right arrow, and, in stead of moving to column H, I will move to column I. This could be a hardware issue with the right arrow on my keyboard.

Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe. i'm running goodtask On the latest version of macOS Ventura on a M2 2023 MacBook Pro. I think I may have discovered a bug when creating calendar events. When creating a calendar event with VoiceOver I can enter the date and time area by pressing Ctrl option shift and down arrow I am able to adjust the date and time with the arrow keys and using control option left and right arrow to move between date and time categories.

Hello everyone.
I think I've discovered a new bug on OS X 11.2 El Capitan. When I'm in the App Store, and go to search, VO won't read the characters I type. Sorry if this has been posted already.
Thank you

Hi all. Subject pretty much sums it up. For whatever reason Migration Assistant didn't transfer all my music from my previous Mac to this one, so my personal assistant and I just finished doing that. All but 2 CDs were imported, and I'll look for those 2 when I have more time. But some of the CDs were burned and don't contain the track titles/artists, and when I attempted to label them before using VoiceOver the order got all screwed up. I don't particularly want that happening again, hence my question. Does anyone know if this bug has been squashed?
