I have been trying to print labels and have tried using Contacts but it means adding a Prefix to each name which is then is reproduced every time I use a contact, for example in the "To" box of iMail. It then appears in sent and received emails. Does any know of a different way or a database which is suitable for this?

It's possible this has been discussed, but I couldn't find it when I tried to search. How do I change the priority of Wi-Fi networks in System Preferences on my Mac? I can't figure out how to move the different networks up and down in the table. Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks!

For lack of posting this twice, it's in the Mac section for now. I am running Mountain Lion on a 2011 Air, and sometimes when I wake the computer up, VO doesn't respond. No speech, no VO-specific sounds. Turning VO on and off again accomplishes nothing, as does muting and unmuting. I'm thinking this may have something to do with the Power Nap feature? The only workaround I've found is to restart the computer completely.

I have read TextGrabber for iOS is better than Prizmo for iOS but I have got better results with Prizmo. Considering this iMac includes a built-in camera, the days of using my iPhone to scan and recognise/process text and images will hopefully be over in the near future.

i have a question regarding Prizmo for Mac.
i have read about it before buying and i believe it's a great one. however, there are certain things i'm not able to do.
i'm trying to scan a pdf file to convert its photos into text like that on Kurzweil for windows. but i'm not able to do that.
have anyone tried to scan a pdf file on Prizmo?

good morning,
i have bought Prizmo for mac more than three months ago. however, i don't feel that it's efficient. when i read about it, i feel that it's a great app. when i use it, i don't feel the same.
is Prizmo on iphone better? i don't know, when i perform the ocr on a photo to export its content fo a txt file, the words are not clearly recognized although the photo is fine. even the voiceover doesn't provie a feedback about the photo whether it's clear. do i have a problem with my mac?

Hello: I am wanting to purchase good ocr software to enable me to read from scanned pages and from pdf documents. I was wondering if anyone could tell me which is better Prizmo or Docuscan Plus? There is quite a difference in price between the two programs and so does anyone have an opinion on which is better overall. Thank you for your help.

Hi all. I am wondering if anyone has any experience of using pro tools with voyceover, I know jaws fails miserably with even reading the menus but voyceover reads them fine. Unfortunately that is the sum total of my knowledge. I am doing a sound production college course and would appreciate any information or input! Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions. Cheers!

I've noticed this on Mac Os and have done a google search and come up short. The * or "Star key", Shift eight, is supposed to represent the asterisk when it comes to things such as emphasizing something, or preventing a swear word from being figured out. However, here's my question. If you use a Star, you hear Alex, or your prefred voice say, star, as in I f** texted the wrong person.

I have searched for this, but have haven't seen anything about this particular problem so sorry if I am covering something that has been asked before. I am trying to leave a comment on a video, but the comment box is a rich text edit box and I can't do anything with it. I have tried to interact with it and still nothing. Voiceover won't even speak the letters I am hitting. Is there a way to change that edit box from a rich text edit box to a plain edit box or is that something that the web designer has to do?

I have just downloaded my first few high resolution files from HDTracks (which will be the topic for another post). To use highres music with iTunes you must have a D/A converter that will support higher than 16/44.1 CD quality music. To adjust the sample rate for iTunes, you must go into the Audio Midi application found under the aplications/utilities folder and use the combo box for the sample rate.
