Hello Apple Vis,
I seen on here that Metatrader4 is one of the better trading tools in use with VO.
Does anyone have any suggestions on guides? I'm looking to install it on my Mac Book Pro first, and the later on my iPad.

I'm wanting to learn some songs on guitar. I was wondering if anyone knows of any accessible apps, or pieces of software for Mac to read guitar tabs. I know at one point there was lUnar tabs, but it seems to not work as Apple progresses with Mac OS.

I’m creating a column with values in Numbers on my Mac. Then, I add a sum formula below it. It works well. However, if I extend this column later on with additional rows and add more values, it often feels like a gamble whether the sum formula still includes them or not. I often work around this by simply adding a new sum formula, which then works for a while. But that can’t be the solution, right?

Do any of you know this problem, or is it just me sitting in front of the screen again?

need to sum starting from B2 up to forever,
need to count all inside the b2,
i used this formula, but the numbers app can not accept it, can you tell me the reason?
=SUM(B2:B)
i went to the place that i need this formula to give me results, and hit paste, but nothing happened, also, i wrote anything to open the edit field, then i deleted and wrote my formula, but with no luck.
any help please?

Is there a way to get VoiceOver to read superscripts and subscripts in word documents opened in Pages?
Setting "text attributes" to "speak" has no effect.

So I don't know at all when this happened, but one of the most basics thing missing in VoiceOver was how it wouldn't announce in speech when part of a text was in subscript or superscript, or at least the rumour was telling so. Maybe it was a user error all along, but I thought useful creating a thread to announce that this feature is there now, as of 26.3 rc, no idea of when it has actually been introduced though. I guess it's true for ios and its forks too but I am lazy to try it out.

Hi all,

I recently installed Surf Shark VPN on my Mac running Sonoma 14.2.1. After installation it placed an icon in the extras bar near the clock.

When I VO shift space on the icon, a window opens.

Then I click on the VPN tab along the bottom of this window.

Inside this window is a button used to connect the VPN. I have placed focus on this button. VO space does nothing. VO shift space, does nothing. So, I am unable to connect the VPN.

I would appreciate any help with this issue.

Just thought I'd pop in and survey how many people are interested in learning Logic Pro X.
I have been using Logic Pro X for many years and have some experience to share. I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be a podcast album dedicated to the system in the AppleVis forums that discusses this topic, so I'm wondering if this idea might help. Is this useful?

I am trying to create a vocal comp from multiple takes in Logic Pro X (latest version, running on Catalina 10.15.4). I have each take on separate tracks, and they have been stacked and a take folder has been made. Normally, one would use swipe-comping,, or just drag and drop each phrase from the chosen take into the new comp track from all of the takes. Is there a way to do this with VoiceOver? Any help with this would be so greatly appreciated.

Before Sonoma it was possible to switch activities for specific apps and websites. In Sonoma it became also possible to switch based on context.

I initially dismissed this as pointless but I have taken a closer look and maybe I was wrong.

With this, you can set an activity to activate based on a context such as word processing, social media, messaging etc.

Instead of switching when an app gets focus it will switch depending on where the voiceover focus is within the app.

For example, I set my Coding activity to activate for Source Code.

Is there any way I can assign either a Braille Display command or a trackpad gesture to switch between open applications? I found "switch between open windows" in "navigation" but not "switch between open applications." Am I missing something obvious? I can use the two-finger double tap gesture on left side of trackpad and quickly choose the application I want without lifting my fingers from Braille Display.

Hi all. i want to change the order the email accounts are displayed. So if I have a [email protected] and a [email protected] email, I wantto have the siobhan-m be first. Is there a way to do this? I think you can do it using a mouse but not sure how with keyboard shorcuts etc. Thanks hope I made sense.

I'm thinking of switching from Jaws on a Windows laptop to a Mac with Voiceover. I use an iPhone so have some familiarity with apple software. I'm wondering if others have made this switch and have been happy with the choice. Is VO on the mac as accessible as jaws? Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone. Subject pretty much sums it up. A couple days ago my neighbor across the hall and I had a technician over here to repair our wi-fi. He ended up having to do some other things but that's beside the point. He successfully got the wi-fi up here working again, but my Mac has been defaulting to another wi-fi network which is apparently somewhere in our apartment complex. How do I tell it to default back to our wi-fi network? Whenever I navigate to our network with the arrow keys and attempt to rejoin, it does so without me having to enter the password.

Hi, I will soon be picking up my very first Mac and have a couple of questions regarding the big switch from a pc.

1. My Files:
I have an external hard drive with all my documents, photos and videos backed up. This currently works with my pc. I have Mac drivers for it, so know I can connect it to my mac.
Can I directly transfer these files to my mac, or does the drive need reformatting first? (Yes, I have other places to temporarily store my files)

Hello, I am seriously considering switching from windows to mac. I've had an iPhone for about three years now with no problems. Are there any limitations I should know about before switching? I have to write and format long documents, read pdfs (including using OCR like Kurzweil 1000 to convert pdf images into text), brows the internet a lot, and and use Excel and powerpoint occasionally. Any thoughts on a possible switch would be appreciated.

I have been working in the Windows environment for the past 20 years. For the past 10 years I have used several models of the iPhone and love the Apple interface. I am an accessibility tester and there is another blind person on my team who prefers the mac over Windows. I've also noticed that more and more blind people who do podcasting use the mac.
