Hello: I am having a very strange problem when using my bluetooth keyboard using the latest version of Yosemite when I type an ' it types a single right quoteation. I've looked everywhere in the keyboard prefs, and I've had no luch.
it happens everywhere.
even when I turn on the keyboard echo, and just press the key in an edit field, it says right single quotation mark.
Any Ideas?

Hello, I am writing this to see if I can get some help with a strange Keyboard issue my wife is experiencing. When she presses the tab key, VoiceOver says, Ignoring Next keypress. furthermore, If you press command w, or command q, Voice over acts like it's navigating a webpage, and says, no next blockquoat found. Any ideas on how to fix this? This urgent, and I kind of need an answer quickly.

I received my first MacBook Pro with a Touchbar yesterday and am already finding some bizarre changes to the way Mac OS seems to operate. IN particular, I am forced into what I can only describe as an arcane manner of logging in. Once the Mac boots up, I have to press the Touch ID button three times to access VoiceOver. But I'm not simply getting Voice Over: I'm getting the full accessibility shortcut screen.

Hi everyone. I finally upgraded my 2014 Mac Mini to the m4 Mac Mini. I've waited for this for so long! I set it up, and at first everything seemed fine, but I soon noticed a problem. As I move around between elements, I hear a "Bong...bong" sound. The second "Bong" has a higher pitch. I especially notice it when moving into and out of text fields, but I notice it in other places as well. I completely reset my VoiceOver settings, but the problem remained. Also, after a while I start noticing a major lag in the Messages app.

I've recently been seeing some strange behaviours in Safari, and decided to write about the here to see if anyone else has been experiencing these.
The issue is, that I'm getting strange menus popping up in Safari when I press on different links or press enter after typing a text into a search field.

so I downloaded some voices on my mack.
I press vo shift down arrow. I get to the voice list. I silent a voice and the menu closes.
but its still using the same voice as before I did the action.
can someone pleas help.

When I had my PC I had it set to sync with my iPhone over wi-fi and when I got my Mac I wanted it to do the same. I've transfered all my data and signed in with my apple ID so it's all running of the same library and data.

This behavior first happened today, and it's so unusual that I'm unsure how to describe it.
I booted my Mac this morning as usual. The VoiceOver voice seemed unusually quiet, but was otherwise the same Alison voice I had always used. I adjusted the system volume up. Unfortunately, this increased the sound effects to the point where they were far too loud.
Okay, no problem, I'll simply reboot and hope the issue goes away, as I have other things I need to do besides dig into some weird new bug.

Even though he doesn't need VoiceOver, it's always good to have it around, in the rare case he needs me to help him with something while he's doing something else off-PC.

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to stream audio from a Mac or Windows PC to an IOS device. This could be either a hardware or software solution.
What I am trying to do is listen to my pc remotely using my Iphone. I’ve seen it where I can stream from my iPhone to a Mac or Apple TV but I am trying to do it the other way around.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I am struggling with the category table under internet in iTunes. I can interact with the table, vo to a category such as classical, but I am unable to figure out how to access the radio stations in the category. I hear something like "status collapsed," then a category such as classical collapsed, then "comments collapsed." How do you access the radio stations under each genre to play them? I must be really dense, can't figure it out. Any help is appreciated. I have a MacBook Air and all software is up to date. Thanks so much.

Hello everyone. I'll start off by saying this is my first post here. To quickly introduce myself I am in my late 20's Am completely blind except for a very small amount of light perseption, have used computers and other forms of technology for the majority of my life, and I am a rather adept computer user. I currently use windows with jaws as my screen reader. I also have an iPhone which I constantly use and love.
Unless I decide to switch Opperating systems I am about to have to pay the blind tax again. Yes that wonderful price of upgrading Jaws, Openbook, etc.

I completely don’t understand what happened in macOS 15 with the new voice feature. It’s a total disaster for me that Apple introduces new settings and is unable to ensure compatibility with the existing functionalities of VoiceOver.

Hello. All of a sudden, I keep getting stuck in a "link preview" when visiting a Facebook page that I've checked out for many years without difficulty. When I move to the area I want to look at, VO get stuck, saying, "link preview, web dialog." Nothing I've tried seems to work. Any thoughts?

Hi folks
I am stuck in Spaces, not sure what I did but I was in the processing copying and pasting inPages when I pressed an unknown keystroke when VO said Zoom out.
Now when going into Desktop VO does not say Mackintosh instead it says Desktop Space and when going into Finder instead of a my desktop image it opens in my home folder.
Any help in getting my system back to normal would be gratefully appreciated

Can anyone help my friend get Microsoft Office downloaded and installed on her MacBook? She's a college student, so apparently Office is free, using her school email address. She's new to the Mac and VoiceOver, so needs some step by step instructions, if possible.
I'm not a Mac user, so can't help as much as I would like to.
Also, more generally, what level of accessibility does Office have on the Mac these days? I'm seeing posts on the site from several years ago that say it isn't accessible. Has that situation improved?
