I just got my mac air a few days ago and have upgraded to the new mountain lion. Is there a manual or something that I can read that is particular to voice over users that will help me make the switch to a mac from a windows computer smoothly?

Hello,
I've recently started using Garage Band on my Mac and am wanting some details on how to use it. I need, idealy a podcast, but a guide would do aswell.
When I say getting started, I mean from the very basics. I've managed to create and save the file, but one thing I can't figure out how to do is play the instrument I've got up. I don't have a keyboard or anything that connects to my computer, and I can't figure out how to play it.

Hi Everyone.
I got my first ever Mac book Pro 2013 and the latest software yesterday. How do I go about setting up the mail app so that my mail comes in? What apps can be put onto a mac that you can get from an iPhone? Can someone suggest a good Weather app for mac? My final question is I listened to the podcasts on changing speechand pressed the correct keys and the left and right arrows to try and cycle but it came up with characters, words and window spots. Is there anyway I can change this?

Hi all.
Any good resources for getting started programming for the Mac or iOS? I think I'm more interested in Mac right now, but I figured they should be close enough anyway that it makes sense just to ask about both. I've done some programming before, but never on a modern GUI. So all command line stuff, no having to make windows and all that good stuff.

I usually navigate the web on my Mac with the single key nav on, so I turn quick nav off in order to type. Lately, I get stuck in password fields. Pressing arrows doesn't do anything. I have to get out of it using the touch pad. Thankfully, I have one. Has anyone had this problem?

Hello guys,
This is my first post in this site, and I am not very familiar with it, so I am sorry if I posted in the wrong forum.
I have a Macbook pro 2017 and I want to get it to read Japanese characters for me when typing on the keyboard. I tried adding Japanese to the keyboard language and the VoiceOver just keeps saying unpronounceable. Do any of you know how to fix that?

Hi, I have just updated VM ware fusion to the latest version of 11.5. usually, I have been able to start windows hit option command F to maximise the window and then alt tab to the VM. This is not working for me now. Does anyone have any ideas. I can hear jaws start up but cannot switch to it. Thanks!

I have just started exploring the use of Voiceover in Excel (Office 365). The first problem I have encountered is getting Voiceover to read the column or row titles. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Hi,
I did a screen share and chose the Zoom virtual output for the output of VoiceOver. When the meeting was closed by the host, I was left without VoiceOver sound because it did not revert back to my Mac speakers. Is there either a way to make it revert back the next time I present or a way to set this up differently, so I don't lose VoiceOver sound after presenting?

Hi all,
It's Joseph here. For a while now, I've wanted voiceover to speak the time using 24-hour format, rather than 12-hour format. I have a time-of-day script that I use to get the time, but it only speaks it in 12-hour time. Is there anything I can do to change this to 24-hour? If so, what processes do I need to go through in order to do so?

Hey all, so I am running 10.10.3 on a mac book pro 2012 and am interested in running windows on my mac. I am looking for advice as this is my first time going about this. Should I go with bootcamp or VMWare? cIs there a way to get a free version of windows and oVMWare? Which version of windows should I run? Also, I heard that going through bootcamp to use windows independently is inaccessible upon set up but that there is a way to do it: how is that?

I will do my best to make sure this post makes sense, but I needed help with a very specific task for work purposes.
I'm trying to give a certain app accessibility permissions. I know it's in system settings > privacy and security > accessibility, and I see one app there so I hit add. I see the applications folder, and when I select 'open finder item" through the actions menu, nothing is happening.
Has anyone had experience with this and can help me out?

Is there away to show the complete number of plays of a song on macOS Music, regardless of what device the song was played on? For example, I when I play a song through my Echo, off my Mac or my iPhone, will the play count shown in Music reflect all of the different devices?

Does anyone have any pointers on how to best use the gmail web client on safari on Catalina or Big Sir? I can open, send, forward, and delete messages, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to select multiple messages at once to either move or delete. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer not to have to use Basic HTML mode, because then I can't take advantage of the gmail keyboard shortcuts.

In the absence of spotify accessibility, I have switched over to Google Play Music for my musical needs.
The website is mostly accessible on Windows, but I find it a struggle on OS X. In any case, web apps annoy me, so I give you GMP:
GMP (Google Music Player) is a GUI application written in Python. It is open source, and contributions are welcome ETC.

Hi, I'm using the latest macOS 11.2.3 and I noticed that the shortcut (command+left/right Aero) does not work when VoiceOver is on. It work totally fine when VoiceOver is off, but as soon I turn VO on it stops working. Is there any workaround for that?

I am using Safari on my Mac. On some web pages, when I need to go to the end of the website, I press `Cmd`+`End`, but it does not take me to the end. It takes me to the end of a section or something. Is there another shortcut for this? Or what can I do to go to the end of any web page?
