I am trying to create spoken tracks using the service Add to iTunes as a Spoken Track. Early last year I created a large number of spoken tracks using this service. Recently I have been plagued with a problem where the service seems to not work properly on some files. I write what I want in Pages, highlight the text, then select Services >Add to iTunes as a Spoken Track. This produces a small window where I can change the name or location and select continue. I always keep the default settings and simply select continue.

While installing Yosemite, I checked the box to enable File Vault. The installation proceeded perfectly. However, when I re-started my Macbook Air, my computer opened to a login screen. I had to enable Voiceover (Cmd F5) to read the screen. However, I could not move the VO cursor to the Name and Password fields. I had to get sighted assistance to login.
I am now in the process of turning off File Vault.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I'm currently facing a problem while trying to restore my iPhone 5S to its original settings. I currently got iOS 7.1 beta5 installed and want to go back to iOS 7.0.6 using the latest version of Mac OS X and iTunes. A message is displayed each time I click on restore saying there was a problem downloading the software. The requested resource couldn't be found. Unfortunately no code is displayed, clicking more info opens up Apple's support and help page. Most of the provided solutions didn't work well. Any solution?

A few days ago I posted a comment complaining about emoji not being read by CoiceOver under OS X El Capitan. Well, turns out that I'm only half right. Since I got my mac in 2009 I've used the a capella voices, particularly the spanish voice, Antonio. This morning I was trying to send a birthday cake icone but, as I previously mentioned, VoiceOver didn't read the labeled pictures. Then I tried switching to a Nuance voice and magically it worked, all the emoticones were read from the begining to the end.

I just upgraded from a 2015 MacBook Pro, running Big Sir, to a 2026 M5 MacBook Air, running Tahoe. After upgrading, I am having a problem, in Amadeus Pro, where the insertion point returns to the beginning of the file when it should not. When I press command Y to move the insertion point to the play head, the insertion point does move to the play head but the play head then goes to the beginning of the file. If I use the go to location (Command G), the insertion point moves to the specified location but the play head goes to the beginning of the file.

In the BookShare Web reader, apparently there is some kind of ad for a new reading tool that, at the moment, is not compatible with screen readers. When previously getting this message, I could simply navigate to and click no thanks. Now, however, the message appears but Voiceover can't seem to navigate to it. The web content area simply consists of the toolbar and the book content frame. Pressing VO Function right arrow will say the word, "No thanks," but there seems to be no way to focus the Voiceover curser to this element.

When I press the caps lock key, voiceover stops speaking and continues if I press the key again. Pressing this key once works as if I pressed the ctrl key. I expect that pressing the caps lock key once will change the keyboard layout, but it does not, and with voiceover turned off, pressing the caps lock key once changes the layout as expected. What could be the problem?

Today I have the following question for you. In macOS 26.2, are you able to rearrange the controls in Control Center, meaning change their order? Unfortunately, I’m not able to do this myself. I actually hadn’t tried it yet in the latest version of the system, but when I finally did, I found that I couldn’t make it work at all.

Hello all,
I have had my iPhone six plus now for a year and a half. I am going to be switching my carrier to T-Mobile so I am going to get a new iPhone 7 plus. I went to do an encrypted backup on my mac using iTunes and for some reason it is acting like I have already created a password for an encrypted backup. As far as I know I have never done this. Is there a way to recover this password and if not is there a way to reset it so I can start over?

I need some help with family sharing. On my iPhone, I can access my family purchases, on my mac it says that i’m part of a family but i can not access the purchases made by other people in the family sharing account. I press purchases but the only purchases that show up are mine. QI’m running the latest version of the mac os. How can I get the family purchases to show on the mac? Thanks for any help

Hello folks,
I have been enjoying using my Mac so far. However, today I encountered a problem that is quite vexing. I am unable to copy files from my mac to my Free Agent external drive. Also the files that have been deleted from the drive does not show up in the trash but they show up in the recycle bin when plugged into a WIndows PC. Is there something I can do to et my drive back into working order? Thanks so much for the help.

I have noticed an issue with Google Translate in Safari, and I am curious if you are experiencing the same problem.
As soon as I start typing the text to be translated on translate.google.com, the cursor jumps back to previous positions after entering a few words.
This makes it extremely difficult to type a complete sentence into the text field.

However, for vo+, to work both finder and imovie window has to be opened, how can i ensure both finder and imovie are on the screen? how do I know where is the right place to drop the item?

I'm having a problem with keyboard maestro, I'm trying to set it up to use VOCR, however when I run the latest version 8.0.4 I think? It won't run.
It does not display any windows, nothing.
I hit cmd o to open, and nothing comes up, nothing that vo can read anyway.
Any of you know how to fix this?

Hi everyone, I recently updated my MacBook to macOS 26. Since I’m a Persian speaker and I don’t really like the built-in Persian VoiceOver voice, I use an external speech engine called SpeakNG. After the update, I ran into a really strange issue. I honestly don’t know how to fix it — it’s quite frustrating. For example, when I open an app or when there’s some Persian text followed by English text, the moment it switches to English, it suddenly reads at an insanely fast speed, even though my speech rate is set to 75.

i set up the mail application to work with my gmail in the 2 computers and it's did work fine
recently when I'm trying to send mail from my home they send only after 24 hours
?
i checked out my internet settings and they are o.k it's seems to be problem with the mail application
anyone had this problem?
anyone have any suggestions what is wrong?

I have encountered an issue on Mac that I cannot seem to resolve. In the mail app VoiceOver will read mail has no windows. It also indicates there are 6 items (presumably unread messages) but I cannot access them. I have tried to close and re open mail, force quit and re opened mail, tried to use the track pad with VoiceOver, and restarted my mac and opened mail, but I have not had any luck getting VoiceOver to read the mail window. I have encountered this issue before with various apps, but if I close and re open them VoiceOver starts reading the screen normally.
