I've installed a piano plugin in GarageBand on Mac. When I tried to use it, it prompted me to lower my security settings. I pressed OK, but nothing happened. And now the plugin is still not working. When launching it, I didn't get another prompt, but a new window which is empty. I checked it when I pressed VO F2 twice. I even scanned it with OCR, but it didn't show me the prompt again. How can I check my security settings related to the plugins manually? Or could the plugin not be compatible with my version of GarageBand, which is the latest one?

I want to resize a certain volume so I shrank 1 volume to accommodate. It worked but now I want to expand the second partition to fill up the space left by the resized partition. I'm using terminal to do all of this. I did resizevolume disk4s3 limits to see what that was and here's what I got

Hello guys,
having a habit of keeping many windows open on safari, I used a lot of cmd + 'to switch between them.
now however, this command in safari displays and hides the status bar.
do you know if a new one has been created to switch between windows?
or, in application abbreviations, can I reset this command for safari?

I would like to screen record from my Mac. Here is the problem though. I am making a tutorial of an audio game, video wise, and it requires headphones. I would like for people to here the sound, as well as me talking throughout the video. Is this possible to do? If so, how is this done?

Hello,
Due to continued pc issues, I’ve been using my Mac a lot more as of late.
One thing I do quite a bit on my computer is email.
I have so much in there that it is often necessary for me to search for things.
As of the latest update, 26.3 which I’m currently running, I find that if I want the search feature to work properly, I must do the command, which is command+f, twice.
Is this a bug or intended feature?
Has anyone else seen this?

I need to stream audio through the share screen feature over zoom, but when I do that it captures both the audio I'm streaming, as well as VoiceOver. How do I get it to not capture VoiceOver instead only capturing the audio? Thanks

Hello everyone,firest at all, I would like to thank Anonmous and Tayler for the 2 podcast that they did about that topic. In those podcast, I understood that we can share a folder sinding to the other person a link, but, I wonder me if it's possible as well, creating a shared folder, in the same way taht we do it, for example, in Dropbox, I mean, a folder in which all the people who share it, can enter, put and take files, or folders from it.

Hi All,
I've been using Mac a long time but never really used Skype on it. So had a couple of questions.
1. When someone calls me, is it easy to answer the call? Is there a keyboard shortcut to answer or do you have to navigate around the screen and find a button or what?
2. When making a call, can you choose whether to make it a voice or video call? I don't see an option.
3. Can you accept a new contact request from within the app?

I was wondering why when you are in a call on Skype and not using headphones why does the person you are talking to only come out of the right speaker.
Is it by design, or is it an issue with Skype?

Hello everyone. I've been experiencing a slight problem with some of the built-in voices in the latest version of Mavericks. Some of them seem to have gotten distorted, and in some cases they stop working as I'm navigating with my arrow keys or typing. The ones that have done this are Fred, Bruce, and I think all the default female ones. I am currently using Tessa, and she seems to be working fine. Alex is working pretty well too. I don't currently have anything downloaded on here except for Google Chrome.

I was wondering if there is a possibility to remove voices from the speech attributes menu (I mean Vo+shift+up or down arrow). And I'd also like to know if there is any possibility to use the same activity for more apps (if I choose it, to use it until I switch to another one), because when I hit command + tab, it switches to the default activity.

Hello all,
I am posting this message on behalf of a friend who is trying to use TeamSpeak on a Mac. The problem she is having is that TeamSpeak prompts for her to agree to a license agreement after she's installed the program but no matter what she does, the agree button is greyed out. Apple says this is likely a TeamSpeak issue but I was wondering if somebody who has used it could please tell me if you have found a way around this problem with VO.

Whenever I use ChatGPT in the macOS writing tools, there is a button labeled as "pencil.arrow.trianglehead.clockwise".
Does anyone know what this button does? It's dimmed before I write something to ChatGPT, and pressing it doesn't appear to do anything.

I have a 2017 MacBook and it’s plugged into charge of teacher by external USB hard drive.
I’m using Time Machine.
The backup is gonna take a really long time, and I’ll probably fall asleep whilst it happens.
If my Mac falls asleep or whatever, will it still do the Time Machine backup?, what if I close the lid of my MacBook, will it still do the Time Machine backup whilst the lid is closed?

Hello all. I am running the latest version of VM ware on my mac book air. I am using windows 7 with that. When I upgraded to VM ware 7 i had an issue with the vm ware tools. I finally figured out how to update them. Then a couple weeks ago I lost what seems to be sound. I can not see the screen so am not sure if it had graphics. I looked up something and followed instructions on what to do if VM ware tools would not update. It had me copy windows.iso on to the desktop of the mac and then open that from the VM. I did that an then was able to start the upgrade process for VM ware tools.
