Hi everyone. Subject line is pretty accurate. This question has more to do with a sister's MBA than mine. To make a long story short, she has had this security update for around 2 months now, that absolutely refuses to install no matter what we do. I have had a few cracks at it, as have our parents and her life-skills tutor. I spoke with said sister yesterday and the day before via Face Time, and she told me that they are finally, hopefully, going to call the Geek Squad at Best Buy. She is a VoiceOver and Siri user. My question is basically this.

Hi all, I'm using Karabiner to change Caps Lock Key into the VO key and into the insert key in virtual machines.
I'm wondering if there's anyway for me to set caps lock turning on after a period of time being held down, let's say, 2 seconds for instant.
Furthermore, before installing Karabiner, I can get VO+ shortcut, for example VO+RightAirrow to be repeated but it's not available anymore after I did. After installing Karabiner, for commands like Command+up/downAirrows it can repeat itself but for hot keys like VO+Airrows, it does not.

hi all when in fusion 10 how do I get the fusion to grab the keyboard control? when I toggle between full screen and single window it seems to do it but not consistently. any thoughts please?

I have a question about my mac book air, mid 2013 model. Everytime I take it off charge, or everytime I start it for that matter, it tells me "calculating time remaining". Is there a way for me to make it actually tell me the battery level when I go to the menulet? It eventually gets to it, but it's a long wait. thx

Malware Bytes keeps notifying me about new versions almost everyday and sometimes twice a day. Is that normal? I am using the free version. Do I really need this app? I have half a mind to uninstall it.

Recently, i was shocked to learn after this last OS update, we are no longer able to put custome ringtones that we make ourselves into ITunes and into our IDevices. I do this so that I can keep all my contacts straight in my head and I don't have to have just one sound going off for everybody. I spent over three hours with Apple accessibility only to find out this news. I even spoke to someone who downgraded their ITunes in the operating system so that they could still have this option.

Hello,
I tried to use the Dashboard on my MacBook Pro with High Sierra. When I tried to add or remove a widget, I could not find any button or other possibility to do so. The menu item "Widget", which was described in the Podcast, is not there.
Is this a VoiceOver Bug or did I overlook something?

Hello guys.how are you? I did also ask Microsoft this question, but I also want your opinion. I have question regarding sharing a Office365 subscription. My whole life up to now, my family and I have used a Office subscription for Windows, however I am considering and now probably am going to switch to Mac because of the voice over and general accessibility advantages. My question is, can you share an Office subscription currently used on Windows PC with a Apple Macbook, or would I have to buy a separate Office software?

as I said in some post, I'm translator som I have to write with my Mac, and with Textedit in different languages, but I hae some problems with it.
First at all, and the most importnat: I don't know what I did, and how I did, but when I write and read, VoiceOver tells me in eahc word "bad written" although it was not true, because he detected a different language. As you know, in this sitaution is very difficult to read anything, so, please, how could I turn off this adverntee?, I tried to go to ortography, but I didn't get it.

I have been using Amadeus Pro for many years to produce my podcast and some other audio content. I have a Behringer XYNEX Q1202 mixer, which is a analog mixer with a built in USB interface. It has 12 inputs (4 mono and 4 stereo) and a 2 channel (stereo) output. When I have a guest, I pan myself hard left and my guest or guests hard right. I then separate the two stereo channels into 2 tracks for editing. As the format of my podcast is evolving, I find myself getting into more situations where I have multiple guests on a podcast.

Good afternoon. I have a MacBook pro. I am writing books. Is there a way to open a blank document in pages and just beging writing? Can you double space the file? Can you save a file in a different format so it can be read on a windows computer? Thank you.
