Hello all. This is the last day for the sale on VMWare fusion 7. I was just curious if it is worth it to upgrade to it? Will it break anything or need new settings to be set up with it? Thanks for any info.

I have a friend who just got a new Mac. He is blind and has the use of only his right hand. He is a good iPhone user with voiceover. He has learned that although Mack has sticky keys, it does not work with voiceover because it only holds down one key for you. I am looking for anyone who has assisted a person with one hand to learn to use Mack And voiceover. I am familiar with. Vosh and was hoping this would be a solution, but at least not as of right now as the developer is not able to continue working on it. Anyway, I am looking for hardware software or anyone experienced in doing this.

I though that a couple or 3 days ago someone wrote about dictionnaries, but I cannot find the topic, so I created this new one. Inthis post or article, I don't know, which I read, someone talk about app diccionaries for Mac: He told that it could have to down load the app the first time, and afterwards, YOu can add new dicitionnaries.

Hello.
Has anyone had success with running a windows 11 VM with UTM? I was able to get it working with a bit of sighted help at least to the point that I can launch the VM and navigate around.
1. Does someone know why the function keys won't work? I can't get my function keys to be passed to windows.
2. More importantly, the input lag is horrendous. It's like half a second between when I type and it reacts. Does someone know what I'm supposed to do to fix that?

Here is the issue I have:
1. I created a certain activity with no application specific to it to trigger the activity, so I just manually switch to it.
2. I press VoiceOver+X to switch to the new activity, it works fine, but when I leave the window or the app that I was on while the new activity was activated VoiceOver switches back to the default activity.
I want to stay on the activity I switched to no matter what app I am using.
Any idea?

Hi.
I'm new to mac, and I have a question on Safari.
When I press Cmd+[ to go to the previous page on Safari, I find that the VoiceOver cursor always jumps to the top of the page, not the element where I left. Is there any ways to change this behavior? It seems that in iOS that's not the case.

I need to do a double screen share and I am not sure how to do it. hopefully someone can help me?
I will be presenting screen share of a book.
However, there's a glossary that the book comes with (i have that in an image) and that needs to be visible at all times during the screen share.
can someone give me some advice on how to set up the screen that way? thank you very much.

Have any of you used Scrivener extensively for writing? I have a discount code for it, but I have a PC, and the windows version does not seem to be the least bit accessible with JAWS. I really do not want to pay the extra cost for a Mac at this time, as I just got a new PC, but I might be convinced after learning about some of the Scrivener features. Hi everyone,
is there a way to make all the speech match with voiceover on a mac? For example, when in messages, VO will say iMessage, and then iMessage again in a drastically lower pitch. I find this quite annoying to listen to so just wanted to see if there was a way to remove VO pitch changes?
I've played around in system settings but can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I'm running O S 13 on an M1 macbook pro from 2020.

Hi all, so i'm thinking of installing infovox on my mac, and trying out some of the voices. This is probably a stupid question, but will installing some of the infovox ivox voices damage my mac, or cause something to malfunction, or is it safe? Thanks

i found out about crossover as an alternative way of running games and other windows software on the mac. However, since a lot of games use Sapi, is there a way to get this running in crossover as well or are those games still completely excluded?
And does crossover work well with voiceover?

Hi, I just had a thought. There are some default apps that came with my MacBook that I don’t use at all. I was wondering if it’s possible to delete them and if so how do you do this with VoiceOver? I’m using the latest version of macOS Sequoia And I have a MacBook with an M1 chip.
To clarify, I know how to add and remove things from my dock, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to delete certain apps from my Mac altogether? For example, I don’t use the Apple Books app on my Mac can I delete it?

Good morning everyone,
I decided to go and use a Shadow PC for my gaming neds on my Macbook. Setting up the client was easy enough, although the accessibility with VO could definitly be better, but one can get around.
The problem is that NVDA on Windows sometimes uses key combinations with the CTRL key, something that Mac OS intercepts, so I for example can't simply use something like NVDA Key plus CTRL plus arrow keys to go through the speach quick settings.

Hi all. Is anyone familiar with the VST Soundpaint? I was emailed the instructions, and from the email, the installation process seemg pretty straight forward. However, when I launch the application, I see that many of the elements are unlabeled, and I can't enter the access key or my email to login. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've been playing around with text edit and pages, but I was wondering if there is a better word processer out there that could deal with things such as stiles and formats such as MLA and APA because different classes require different things. I currently have a windows Del computer. It's getting really slow so I'm thinking of upgrading to a mac. But I want to install windows on it, since I love Jaws and word. I was planning on purchasing a new mac. Does anyone have any suggestions of which one to get, the pro or the air? How easy is installing boot camp? How do you perform basic jaws commands with the touch bar, like Alt F4? Any other tips or advice on the usability of a mac with both systems running?

FIrst time for me to use THe CCC, and AM happy with it's accessibility, and i did my first Hard desk backup, but now, if i need to do another backup after a day or so, what can i do? and how will it hhandel the new files added? will it Compair THe files or start over or what? sorry but as you know this is a very cretical issue and i do not want to lose data.
