Sonoma's Safari not responding, just came up when i went to view my south west rapid rewards shopping account. Is anyone's a member, here's the steps to reproduce it. Log in, then view recent transactions. Voice Over will restart, then trying to navigate left or right, causes the evil "Safari not responding." Someone else let me know if it's just me. Not a huge deal as I didn't have points, I'll fix that.
The voiceover occasionally mentions the word “interactive” after reading the title of an item, and I’m curious about its actual meaning. For instance, it appears in the Apple menu/help section or on the Gmail website’s compose email dialog when you select the “more sending options” option. It says, “schedule send, interactive.” I’m simply wondering what this actually entails.
Hi. I have spent days looking at the descriptions of different apps, reading about different apps and listening to podcasts on different apps. I am trying to decide what audio editing app I should get for my Mac but I can't choose so I need your help. Here are some things that I do not need the app to do. I am not into making my own music so I don't need an app with instruments and stuff like that built in. Here are some things I do need the app to do.
hey all,
I'm just curious to know what people on the Mac are using to access mastodon.
In my case, I am either using Pinafore through the browser and for an app i'm using tweesecake which I am not completely sold on as yet.
Just curious to know what other people on mac are usinJust curious to know what other people on mac are using.g

Hello. The last time I checked, Microsoft Word for Mac 2016 wouldn't let you type in documents. What do people think of this and how is your experience using Word?
Thanks
I've been lucky enough to learn a ton from people on this site. Now, I want to give back. A couple days, ago, I bought Audio Highjack. I'm getting ready to start recording podcasts; however, I'm not sure which software I should get to edit my work. Can I do basic audio editing in Garage Band? If so, is it easy? If not, what piece of software should I consider? Thanks in advance for your assistance. I'm looking forward to becoming a more active participant in this awesome community.

Hello all,
Recently got a MacBook and am trying to get the hang of things. My workflow on PC was NVDA and the built in windows zoom function. I has a Logitech mouse with the back and forward buttons mapped to zoom in and zoom out as I adjust my zoom level frequently.
Hello applevis,
I am posting this in the macos thread because at the end of the day it's about voiceover itself and not really pure programming question, but please don't hesitate to correct me.
So on the wonderful why you stick to windows thread apple script was mentioned and that it allows quite a lot within the apple ecosystem. This, however, has brought up to me a question I haven't been able to answer for an year.
So now I am really curious, because this keeps coming up periodically. It came up again in a recent thread about using the Mac.
What are you people doing with your hands?
If I'm at a keyboard, my hands are on the home row, ready to type, unless I'm doing something else that's not on the keyboard, like getting a drink. But people keep lamenting the fact that you need two hands to use Voiceover, like it's some sort of obvious defect. I think I've probably done *something* or other on Windows with one hand, but nothing that particularly stands out.
This question is for those of you who may do some audio editing like myself. I personally use Amadeus Pro, which I find to be absolutely awesome. I had forgotten just how much I enjoy editing on the mac. Anyway, I am looking for free audio units to add effects or just make vocals sound better. Most of my jobs are small, like station ids, program promos, etc. But I get sick of hearing my own voice as is all the time, so if there are tools out there to spice things up a bit, that would be awesome.
Hello Apple Vis,
Has anyone been noticing on a Mac book air or any Mac book that are older generation computers the keys on the keyboard working on and off. For me it's been my command key on the left, and the letter c.
If so does anyone know what is a good idea to fix the problem? I have reset the PRAM, but that has not worked at all.
Definitely let me know.
Hi all,
I recently bought a 2025 MacBook Air M4, as I have always been interested in the Mac and the advantages that come with the Apple ecosystem. I have some macOS experience (I own a 2020 M1 MacBook Air that is currently being used full-time to run 2 radio feeds on Broadcastify) and i would rate my level of VoiceOver proficiency as 'beginner-intermediate'. I can get around, do the basics, but I am absolutely not an advanced user by any stretch of the imagination.
Hi all.
