I have used MacOS since 2014 and never faced problems that pushed me to reinstall the whole thing. So I am wondering if anyone habitually reinstalls MacOS after a major release and has noticed difference in performance.

Is it accessible to do a reinstallation of Mavericks with no vision at all?

I have just completed the first version of a script that will read the most important events in the free colloquy IRC client for OS X. The iOS version does this on its own and I like the interface of the Mac one, so figured I would add this feature. For now, it speaks new messages, joins, and parts. More events will be added later. There are a few variables you can changed near the top of the file to configure the speech output:

After I finally got my update to Catalina to finish updating, I ended up with an alias on my desktop called relocated items. Does anyone know what this is and what I should do about it?

Hi all,
Each time I update my Mac to a new version of Mac OS, I end up with a new folder on ,my desktop called Relocated Items.
I have no real idea of what the files inside the folder are, or why the system has apparently relocated them, let alone decided to put this folder on my desktop.
Does anyone understand what this is about better than I do?
And is it safe for me to delete this folder, or at least to move it somewhere out of sight?

I'm really happy to say that I was able to install Windows 7 on VMWare Fusion on my own. :)
I am, however, running into a bit of an issue. JAWS' read by word command is insert and the arrow keys, but I can't seem to remap an insert key. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have connected usb wired pc keyboard to MacBookAir, through a usb C hub.
The keyboard is working fine, but i m trying to modify remapping keys from Windows key to Opption key and Alt key to Command key.
In System Preferences I can’t able find keyboard/modify opption. In system preferences VO says blank finder.
And in systems settings/keyboard, dint got modified opption.
Pls guide how to remapp usb keyboard for macbook air.

Hi. I'm using VMware Fusion to run windows on my Mac. How can I reassign keys when in windows. Specifically, I need to reassign the windows, alt, and control keys. Also, I am unable to use the capslock as a screen reader modifier key. Thanks.

Do you know if it's possible to remap the VoiceOver speech rotor keyboard shortcut on Mac OSX, perhaps via the Keyboard commander ? I find the default Shift-Command-VO and the arrows difficult to do due to coordination issues.

Something tells me this won't work but I figure that asking is worth a shot. Can you use something like Chrome Remote Desktop from a windows computer running Jaws or NVDA to remote into a MacBook pro? Wait let me rephrase that. I know you can do it but is there a way to read it with the screen reader on the windows computer?

A bit of a technical question this, but I'm not sure about how to deal with this issue, and I need to fix this quite quickly.
Here's the issue:
My USB flash drive, for some reason got partitioned into 2 partitions, one large one, and one small one. My question is, can I use Disc Utility with VoiceOver, in order to get rid of one partition, so that there's only the one partition on the flash drive?
I know it's quite technical, so I'm not sure if I explained it correctly, but any help would be much appreciated.

Some one was using my mac, and he signed in using his gmail account, and he signed out from a long time ago.
so, i need to remove his gmail account from safari default Gmail, because each time i need to use a website with gmail, it suggest my friend's gmail as a default gmail account,
i hit next then change the default account to be mine, but is there a way to remove this account?
His password is not in my Keychain or someting, so can not sign in or even remove it as a solution for this.
Any help will be highly appreciated

I have an audio device that I cannot use on my mac called "MorphVOX Audio", from when I had a demo of MorphVOX Voice Changer. However, when I trashed the app, the audio device stayed put, and i can't removed it from the audio Midi setup utility, nor can I find it in the entensions folder. Is there a way to remove this device?

I'm extremely new to MacOS and Voiceover and I'm trying to completely remove Dropbox from my Mac because of all the space it's taking up. I went to applications and deleted it from there, but I still have it on my Dock. I also still see it in Finder and wasn't able to delete the entire location, only the folders inside. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I also decided to take this approach because I couldn't figure out how to scroll through selective sync settings in Dropbox.
