I've noticed that when reading a document in Text Edit, regardless of whether you read by line, paragraph, or Control Option A or B, Voiceover announces two carriage returns as return, new line, every time it encounters them. This is annoying when reading for pleasure, as it occurs before the start of every paragraph. Do other word processors, such as Pages, behave the same way as well? Might be useful to know before I pay $20 and buy Pages.

I am a former technology trainer, and I gleefully left that life in mid 2016. I now find myself needing to leverage the technology I possess, even though I long for living in a cottage on an isolated beach. I have a MacBookPro, with a BootCamp partition of Windows 10. I also have the last iPad Pro with a headphone jack and an iPhon 10S. Are there any training resources or books you would recommend? I don't mind moving through the basics again, if I have to do so. I imagine that a lot has changed in the last 3.5 years.

Hi, all. I know how to add places to favorites in Maps on OS X, but I don't know how to review them. I saw something in the online help about showing favorites from within the search field, but I'm not finding that option. Is there a way to do this with VO? Thanks in advance.

Hi all. I changed my web address for my talking book library. Not realizing i could edit it, i deleted and put the new bookmark in. There's two problems. one is I have my favorites, then beneath that is my library bookmark. I think i had the old adress in the favorites so how do I move it? second is I used to be able to press command option one, to get to the library. Now of course it goes to my bank. How can I fix this? I did a quick Google search, and I did the menus to see if there was a submenu but there wasn't Thanks for any help.

Hi all. I tried to ask this earlier, however I only got the unhelpful, was I sure I had uninstalled and reinstalled the player? type of comment. Little did the person who failed to respond to me read, yes, in fact, I did do that. Anyway I discovered if i go onto my guest account, flash content plays fine, on www.cbs.com but on the admin account there's nothing. This is free, so it's not like you need to sign in or up or anything. If anyone wants to help fix this, I would very much like it.

Somebody who I won’t name because of privacy reasons for you to have a look. She plugged into power. I would be assuming this is a MacBook Pro 2012, or close to that. It does really heavy, really crazy, looking MacBooks, with the power button on the top right.. I’ve had to minutes Ooty. It’s not the Apple something once it’s the ones with the internal processes. Anyway,, All you need to know is it’s got Intel processor and it’s those big heavy chunky white MacBooks. Anyway, but I’ve been trying to turn the damn thing on for the past couple of minutes ever since it got plugged in.

In previous MacOS's, I was able to rewind and forward my audio files by placing the cursor on the percentage of the total playing time and using the rotor to navigate to adjust then using the up and down arrows to rewind and forward. In Sierra it is not possible, instead of adjusting the values I just jump to the top or the bottom of the window, I restored all settings of VO, reinstall Sierra, restarted VO and Mac, nothing worked for me.
Any Idea?

In a few months, I plan to switch from a PC to a Mac. I'm well aware that there is no rhapsody app for the mac, but I've been told you can still use the rhapsody.com website to stream content. Has anyone done this, and is it accessible? If it's not accessible, is anyone aware of a subscription-based music service that is accessible with the mac and voiceover?

Hello everyone.
So now that we have continuity on the Mac to interface with our iOS devices, I have been playing around with Ring Tones and Text Tones. I even went as far as hacking the rtktones.plst file to make sure the mac sees the ring tones I add into the folder. I also saw an alert tones file but if I play with that file, bad results happen when opening the contacts app for example. So I just leave that alone.

Hello, I have a problem. I'm trying to rip my blueray disc into my iPhone, but it has copy protection so that handbrake cannot handle it. Does someone know any good accessible software? I tried makemkv but it is not accessible. thanks

Sorry, because I swear I saw this come up recently, but I'm not finding anything with search.
What are good options to rip CDs to mp3 or the like on Mac? Obviously if I can get data like artist and tracks filled in automatically that would be awesome. I could probably download the couple of CDs I'm planning on buying, but I want the liner notes, assuming they have any, and sadly downloads rarely include them.
I've got an external USB drive, and I assume Mac will detect that just fine. I just don't what good programs are for ripping.

is there an app or a way to root audio coming from my IPhone to Mac? the thing is that in the office, I prefer to listen to VO through earphones as not to disturb my sited colleagues. and I don't wish to ware 2 sets of ear phones one for the Mac and the other for the Iphone.

Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe. I want to use blackhole to route my system audio to Reaper, because I want to record some music production tutorials and I need people to be able to hear my screen reader as well as my voice. with my microphone which is connected to my audio interface. Please could somebody explain to me how I can use black hole to do this? Do I need to create an aggregate device to do this or multi output device to do this please? I don’t prefer VoiceOver announcing the row and column numbers when I navigate a table on the web. I can disable it on iOS from the verbosity settings, but I couldn’t find a similar setting in Mac’s VoiceOver Utility. Any suggestions?

When i open the rs games client it says i am currently an unknown. Even after i log in, I get the same message. When i choose a game i get the same message, and when i add a bot, and start a game it recognizes my user name, but that message keeps popping up. help.

Hello. As the subject says, I am glad to anonnce that the RS games client for 64 bit is avaylable. You can grab it from the developers website. I tested it on my Mac-book pro 2019 and I can confirm that is working. Happy gaming.
